  1. Nope - that's a special rule for that particular attack. You'll notice the special rule has the headline "Choppas", meaning it's an elaboration of that attack.
  2. I dunno... If I was GW I would ride the wave of new releases. It would make sense to make a warband for Nurgle, Darkoath and whatever new AoS releases are coming. Also Night Goblins could use some love in general... Right now they are a horrible mish mash of models spanding several generations. They need a reboot. I really hope the new mushroom seer is the herald for a new age of grots!
  3. Rust is extremely fun to paint! Actually after the Stormcast I find all the bases to be a bit standard/letdown - Even the Reavers
  4. Can't do OSL? Excellent time to try it out. I know it's easy for me to say, but it's REALLY not *that* hard. Rusty swords would tie in nicely with the rusty shields. BUT... It's your minis. Listen to advice, but always do what you feel is right for you. It's like music. Just because I like Ironmaiden doesn't mean it's right for you @ Panikspreder - Welcome buddy @ Bottle - Your reavers look gorgeous. Nothing wrong with a "standard" paint scheme What did you use for snow?
  5. Ah... I thought so I would say the orcs ARE the only warband where I would consider not using those.
  6. What do you mean? He has 12 objectives as is the rule. Do you mean the "Hold Objective 1-5" cards? In which case the orcs don't thrive that much by standing still on objective markers - they want to bash some heads in.
  7. Since you are asking... The scheme could work, but I kinda feel like you got these separate elements that really doesn't tie together. Purple space skeleton, magic green sword and old rusty shield. It would be nice if one of the elements were repeated somehow. Perhaps give the skeleton green glowing eyes like the sword?
  8. Thank you And thanks for the nice feedback from everyone else as well. Great looking warbands mate! The skintones on the Reavers look really good. I can see what you mean about the black helmet. The red armor is really the only things that "pop" from this color scheme. The head/face is always a focuspoint and the red would have helped here. That being said... The black helmet sticks with the color scheme and the colors on the model is nicely tied together, so it's certainly not a big deal.
  9. What I actually like the most is the ground - I wish I had thought of painting the ground "Shadespire" blue
  10. The weapons themselves are wet blending ranging from red --> orange --> yellow --> yellow+white. Then all the ornaments and bolts were given a lineup with red + Lahmian medium. The light the weapons cast on the warriors are simply very fine drybrushing with the middle orange color - and an even gentler drybrush finish with the yellow.
  11. Oh man! I finally got something to post in this thread! Bought the game on release and been slaving away since then... I'm a slow painter... (I really hope someone gives me a lightbox for Christmas! )
  12. Congratulations! I do wonder if counting total glory is a good way to determine the winner? I think I would prefer just counting wins - then using total glory to settle any ties.
  13. Good point Killax - they would have sculpted bases - not sanded.
  14. You are talking about this model? Holy Heck! If she's really a Shadespire model I know a couple of people who'll squee - myself included. I don't believe it though... Would they really tease this (Shadespire?!)model when it has to stand in line behind four other warbands? ...would they?
  15. These look SO good Turragor! I do think you went a little overboard with the blue OSL on the petitioner's skull.
  16. I say go for it. Who knows when you'll get an entire warband painted?
  17. Ah... it shows better on that pic I was thinking that as well!
  18. @ CJPT The effect on your Reavers' weapons looks interesting, but I can't quite figure out what it's supposed to be? Oxidized brass, with the most used parts still shiny? @ Turragor Nice glow on the eyes. I just can't decide if I'm gonna do the same with mine. Or if I should just do the Warden... Decisions, decisions...
  19. I concur. It's worded something like: "If all your surviving fighters (at least 5) made a move action in the preceding..." "All of your surviving fighters" is very clear. It means ALL of your surviving fighters. "At least 5" is a fail safe to prevent getting scoring unreasonably many points by just moving a single surviving fighter. So if 3 of your 7 fighters are dead you can't score this anymore because there's not at least 5 on the board. Even if the first part of the score condition of "all surviving fighters made a move action". Personal rant: These "all must do X (at least Y)" are terrible to new players. I wish they had worded them differently.
  20. I can certainly see the utility, I was just surprised that you only get two chances to pull it off. That made me doubt if I was reading it correctly - But I am it seems...
  21. Question: The card "Shardcaller": At the beginning of each Action Phase, you can switch an objective held by this fighter with any other objective. Does "the beginning of each action phase" mean the first thing that happens after any end phase? Meaning once per round. Or can you use it several times during a turn? I want to say it's once per round. But that just makes it an incredible narrow window where you can benefit from it. Especially since it's an upgrade and not a ploy. Start of first round you obviously can't use it. Start of second/third round. You need to: 1. hold the card - 2. have already scored points - 3. already have a fighter in place. So two chances in the entire game, with a lot of pieces that need to fall in place. So how does this card work?
