  1. FS need to follow the way of the squat and go away for a few years Skyre Acolytes, like many others they are old but also preposterously expensive because they arent plastic! Saurus and Ogre core troops are archaic and rubbish outside of rank'n'flank But most of all my poor Night/Gutter runners who could really pop with modern tech, just look at the underworlds band!
  2. Id like to see Adeptus mechanicus and Dark mechanicus armies too hopefully but i dont have too high hopes. Overall the roadmap isnt as bad as it could have been, no "get you by lists" is appalling though.
  3. ooh god a modern wolf rider army would have me throwing my meagre pennies at GW so hard I think 2000pts would be pushing it for that heresy box, and it would be super boring to play with, essentially being a blob of the blandest objective holders and a mediocre deathstar, it definitely needs expansion to work, the main game starters have much more characterful and varied minis in them even if they are push fits, id much rather have half as many troops but unique sculpts personally.
  4. 30k had shrivelled down to a puddle, but there are a LOT of lapsed and potential players out there, and it always benefits from 40k being in a bad place, which it is right now. Remains to be seen if they can sustain that interest and regrow the lake. Could go either way really.
  5. I mean they did? Look back in my posts and i even quoted a timestamp
  6. I mean they outright said CoS and Dawnbringers wont be purely human already, GW does get up to some sketchy nonsense, especially FW but so far they havent, this time Old world looks like a nice simple plan to release a dozen OOP armies kits and a couple of entirely new armies and presumably a whole bunch of bases and base adaptors all at once, nothing can go wrong.
  7. No hes way too expensive as is, unless the allegiance abilities and other gumph help out bigly. From the screaming bell we can see these arent written specifically for the boxed set due to the verminlord summoning too Gutter Runners are surely too iconic a unit to drop entirely, but i do worry about Night runners at this point, or any pure Clan synergy.
  8. But overall, bit killier, much less flexible, double the cost
  9. As a pure Eshin player i have to say the new Deathmaster warscroll is extremely ominous in its lack of ability for them to hide in, y'know, Eshin units.
  10. Could we please stop using racial slurs against Gotrek? Hes a Dawi dammit NGL talk of a third wave of Lumineth when my Skaven army is mostly from the Storm of Chaos era did provoke some irrational rage for a minute there. More giants or maneaters would be cool though!
  11. It makes sense i guess to have humans replace the hobgoblins in an upcoming Chaos Dwarf army, they really seem to hate having species in multiple grand alliances, Hobgrots are destruction so Chaos needs different cannon fodder.
  12. Hmmm i notice Deathmasters have near enough double in price, so at least they are hopefully capable of killing things now
  13. Oh wow, thats possibly the least inspiring battlebox filler ive ever seen, hardly seems worth it, they might as well have just done a nice Sylvaneth box and given us the deathmaster solo. Now i just need to convince our groups Sylvaneth player to sell me just the assassin somehow
  14. Well all we know is that by Winter those wo warbands will be released, there could be a dozen non StD warbands keyed up. I mean there wont be, but there could be
  15. Listening to the stream now and Eddie in fact just specifically said the other factions will be around but humans have been neglected and will be front and centre of this release (Around 53:50 ish in the stream VOD) EDIT Also, totally going to make a Vagrant Sister of Silence character out of that vampire
  16. Good for Sylvaneth, though the Lady of Vines edged it closer they remain an army im always kinda nearly thinking of collecting The Deathmaster was one of the least necessary, if not the least necessary resin update needed for Skaven, especially with the underworlds set. Its bit gutting really, even as an Eshin player! Fingers crossed for Night runners in Warcry tomorrow i guess? the rest is good but not too interesting personally, though i do very much like a faction changing grand alliance officially. I think people might be over egging Dawnbringers being all human, its a fact that elves and dwarves have had whole new armies while Humans for AoS could probably be counted on your fingers, its basically a meme. So i guess a lot of the new figures will be Human but probably not all, and i doubt they will Khemri the rest of the non humans in the CoS ranges!
  17. I think we might get a brief video about Slaves, kinda in the vein of the Worldeaters one, which is similar because they d also be super obvious soon enough, hopefully not detracting from the releases for the next 6 months! Im hoping for some solid Skaven and Sylvaneth, maybe some hints and the next lot?
  18. Direct only i think? (Though shops can still order them if they ask)
  19. Didnt the skaven also recently thwart Nagash, presumably for old times sake? Eshin box would be awesome, just hoping its new Night runners...
  20. I swear they just flip a coin every so often to see if undivided princes/marks are a thing, honestly i prefer it being a rare and special thing for the Everchosen, so essentially just Belakor and Archaon in AoS. Aaron Dembski bowden did an article on it somewhere, i guess on his blog?
  21. It makes sense that the rules team would have zoomed ahead a bit with all the bottlenecks with production and distribution, in a world without a pandemic we would probably already have all these tomes in hand As loudly debated elsewhere, this does show how out of touch the rules meta can be, they have 6-8 books done and dusted down the line and are working on the 2023 books, especially with how release orders shake out differently to intended. Just glad Skaven are still probably coming soooon
  22. Glad to Skaven still on, sad that amongst all those battletomes the exciting thing to leak was a winter release... Still its a huge morale boost for the game at least, which definitely feels at an all time low right now.
  23. Yeah ive felt TOW has been either over promising, or being vague enough for fans to take that as over promising almost from stage one, i suspect because even GW has not nailed down the actual scope of the release yet. Ideally i think a relatively limited set of new minis, maybe an extended MTO window of old ones and a big index style set of releases giving everyone rules would be ideal. Probably having a new Cities of Sigmar book at the same time bringing back some of the squatted options coming back in OW would be nice too!
  24. The Heresy box is May/June by most accounts and the Open day.
  25. Id assume they would avoid just being a dark mirror to the Lumineth these days, but also stick with the "some normal elves" then "Funky weird elves" which these Shadow dudes are, so the "Regular" umbraneth id expect definitely some repeater crossbow carrying troops and some melee infantry, probably with something like halberds if they go armoured, or dual blades if they go skirmish-y/sneaky. All calling back to the relevant old world kits but with AoS updates.
