So this rumor is credible, going by who did like it. I'm fine with canned Plague Censer and Gutter Runners (as in the current Metal models) but ... No updated kits seems very weird for the two oldest plastic kit of the faction. They need, like the Underworld Warband, a NEW plastic kit that makes both Plague Monks and Plague Censers Bearers, and a NEW plastic kit that makes both Gutter / Shadow Runners (this one maybe for Warcry) ASAP.

Seems to refer to both the Warcry Lumineth and the Kill Team Mandrakes with this one. For the picture, I don't think it is THAT ZOOMED IN, i.e. the pointy bits aren't elf ears...

Last time, wasn't there like 4 stories, one per week, leading up to the preorder ? That would make it quite late, right ?

I'm glad my expectations where confirmed by the Fang, but as said by THW : "Chorfs in 4th Ed." =/= in 2024. This year we have FEC & Death, then the end of Dawnbringers (Chaos "Maraudeurs", lady of Ruin, etc) & Warcry (LRL vs Nighthaunt), then Skaven and Stormcast. It's PACKED enough !

I'm absolutely sure Chaos Dwarfs will come in AOS4, maybe not in 2024, but soonish : we have, like Kharadron Overlords since the first AOS rulebook in 2015, too many hints in the background and models like Warcry or Hobgrots. Regarding Beasts of Chaos, they do 100% belong in TOW (both the WFB setting and the current TOW narrative), that's for sure. For AOS, the God-ification would be an elegant solution (PESTIGORS, GW), instead of pure squatting (well I also think Bonespliterz are prime candidates to go back to TOW but with COS, GW showed the squatting could be quite erratic, with then squatted kits reappearing in TOW). But with pure AOS models (Endless Spells, Faction Scenery, Underworlds*, new Heroes, Warcry appearances, etc.) being released for BoC, I don't see them squatted anyway. * Like Gitmob and Bonespliterz you could say ...

I'm strangely fascinated by this kit I was not aware of (I started WFB in 2003). And instead of redoing the whole kit in plastic for Warriors of Chaos, GW could just release a FW resin Chaos Beast Handler on 30x30 base, I guess... BTW I love the fact that TOW, like HH, publishes rules for non-existant models, encouraging the implied use of (100% GW-made) Proxy and Conversations ! (I don't think the Chaos Beast Handler will fall into that category BTW, as it apparently belongs to the Grand Army List...) @Garrac TOW is currently also published in French and German, but man I DREAD to read the awful French translation I just ordered (for the Lore sections ; in terms of rules it is generally okay, but the background.... Back in 2000's when we had a French White Dwarf the quality was quite good - at least that's what I thought as a youngling).

Does this means the new plastic kit for Chaos Warriors is going to be Chaos Hounds with Handlers ? Curious. BTW, no Mutalith / Big Red monster for Woc lists, nor Chaos Warshrine ??

Well, that "Hastings" over there at War of Sigmar probably isn't the same guy from Warseer time, as he is usually quite wrong. On the other hand, Valrak Rumors + Dwarfen Dice = I trust the next TOW release is Orcs & Goblins vs Dwarfen Kingdoms next in 2024. I'm also taking from the last TOW Lore article that we could see Chaos Warriors before they got to the Siege of Praag (which is "not anytime soon" and got me worried for my black armored barbarians) ...

62.50 for 20 Tomb Guards is very high, too high for me TBF... Then if we look at an old-but-modern WFB range still available : Dark Elves 10 Corsaire : 25 euros 10 Dreadspers : 32.50 euros. 10 Black Guards : 45 euros. Tomb Guards would be the equivalent of Black Guards, and yet GW did not just apply the "elite price" (doubling it)... At least that.

That Store Anniversary Auric Runesmiter and the Vulkyn Flameseekers for Warcry do convince me the range is in for a resculpt in 4th ed. @Chikout BTW, happy New Years everyone. I'm really happy to see the return of the Old World (but the prices...), but with @KingBrodd let's take a moment to think about how good AOS state is right now : Dawnbringers, Cities of Sigmar, Flesh-eater Courts, Warcry and Underworlds, and soon Skavens with 4th edition : 2024 is going to be a great year for everything "Fantasy" in the Warhammer-verse

BTW talking about models prices (instead of books)... the MTO Battle for Maccrage is 90£... I checked, the original from 2004 was 40£ / 50 euros..................... That does not bode well for TOW prices.

If we look at Horus Heresy prices, we may get the three main books for 55£ each... A bargain. Looking forward for the rest of the prices, the big boxes and the Knights on Foot, the resin characters and the Tomb Swarms...

Absolutely, a S2D Heroes with the Chaos Spear Rumor engine. The LoR is related in some way to Archaon and the Varanguard. But yeah, that mouth is also a bit Kruleboyz- or Squig-y... (I'd hoped for plastic Plague Toads, but not enough diseased, and armor looks Chaos Undivided-y). BTW, the rules for TOW are SO promising, and that new Vampire Lady is gorgeous. Great Warhammd Monday !

That would explain the changing plans regarding plastic Kislev and Cathay. BTW I'm not shooting the messenger, I just : 1. love Chaos ; 2. think it is weird they have plans for the quite limited amount of "TOW Core Factions" BUT the two Chaos ones ... (I mean, they aren't including all the old WFB factions in TOW, yet even the few they keep aren't all going to be covered by Bretonian-like medium releases ? MADNESS )

And with (at least) another Dawnbringers Book almost guaranteed, we are getting closer to Chaos Duardin and Malerion Faction. Skaven update early in fourth edition next year too. Beautiful. BTW, where are the unbelievers thinking this wasn't going to be a LARGE wave for FEC ? We now have a nice characters selection (Herald, Judge, Executor, Cardinal, Flying Key-master, Vargulf, Ushoran, many Ghoul Kings variants, Ushoran) and units options, even Endless spells, Faction scenery and warbands in Warcry and Underworlds. What a glow up ! The sad part : The basic ghouls aren't replaced (like the TK skellies for TOW), even with the dual builds Cryptguard and recent Warcry warband... After John Blanche, we lose Paul Dainton, Phil Moss AND Thomas Elliott ? That's a catastrophy !

Well that's a nice kit ! Especially the Liche Priest 💀 I can see AOS (OBR, FEC and SBGL) players using it too. Though I understand those who would prefer basic skellies (or a Necrolith Colossus). Yeah those kits (and the Bret Mount Knights Kits) will look quite bad next to half their range now... We'll need conversion materials for the basic troops (harder now that the Vampire Counts skellies have been AOSified). Also, if the Chariot / Mummies rumor is wrong (remember the pseudo-"Hastings" on WarCom, consistently wrong recently when he doesn't repeat Whitefang, THW or Valrak, may very well be an impersonator), will the Crocodragon the only new plastic kit for TKoK ?! P.-S. ; at least the (promising !) rules articles and the new FB pages are good signs we aren't too far off !

Yeah. Maybe it goes with the last Dawnbringer book, when one tail of the crusade succeed in founding a new settlement, hence the Intact Buildings ?
