  1. I'm now 100% sure that, with Eddie's replies on Twitter, we'll get a launch box. The only really conflicting informations we have is GW saying "after launch we will focus on Old World (geographically) armies at the Time of the Three Emperors" while saying "Cathay/Chorf will eventually get a release". Kislev is understandable though. Honestly the game itself is looking GOOD. Every 8th Edition armies having rules at launch - including Warhammer Forge (Legion of Azgorh) - is great news, even if it's some Compendium PDF. The only worry of me is "how much NEW plastic can we expect ?". I was quite certain the Tomb Kings Weapons 3D mock-ups we saw was for a Plastic Tomb King kit. But the new Tomb King is resin... (I don't mind resin per se, I have cool Nurgle stuff from Forge World / Warhammer Forge in resin, but I want to see more of GW plastic kit technology applied to The Old World...)
  2. Hello that's me BTW I see Golgeth in the Chamon's Realmsphere and I am happy :') Dawbringers going in Aqshy and Ghyran brings back so much good memories from the Realmgates War and Season of War. Anyway. We are but from a year of 4th Ed. ! This expanded map of the cosmos looks like it could be included in the next Core Book as the "main map" (minus the Seraphon ship of course - maybe with one or two Silver Towers added).
  3. Very happy to see more Intact Azyrite Buildings in the pictures and artwork of the preview :
  4. BEST WARHAMMER FEST EVER Nurgle steal the show. CoS Knights and Maw-Grunta are fantastic. Stormcasts Questors are all I wanted for Warcry (and Warhammer Quest). FEC and Nighthaunts are very characterful indeed. For the rest, Tyranids, Knight-Lancers and BRETONNIAN PALADIN are great ! AND WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE ?! The Roadmaps are packed, and Dawnbringers Crusades supplements with 7 more units ?! I wonder what will come after (spring 2024), for the traditional "end of edition" campaign - Dawnbringers cannot be that so soon ? I love it ! Maybe a Mordheim / Monty Python Easter egg ?
  5. They said every Warhammer 8th edition army will have rules in the beginning, I guess that includes Legion of Azgorh regarding Chorfs... (Index/Compendium-style, probably not widely supported after launch if the armies on focus are those in the Old World at the end of the Age of the Three Emperors). -- It was a nice reveal. Small, but very nice ! Thank you @michu for the updates ! Looking forward for the Q&A review
  6. RUMORS Sorry if that's already been discussed ; the new Blades Of Khorne battletome has a picture (page 3) containing apparently new scenery for SCE/Cities/Dawnbringers : at long last INTACT Azyrite building (on the left, two levels building with stairs, and on the right with battlements). I know GW sometimes 3d print scenery (like that Ossiarch Castle) but this looks new and plastic (kit) to me. Will it look good next to the grittier Cities infantry design ?
  7. Fantastic show. Ran out of reactions BEFORE it even started thanks to the Warcry leaks, so I can really say I'm speechless. Everything was great (alas no interest in HH book, Votann sprue or Terminator / Termagant updates - while nice looking). The perspective of once-again-AoSified rules for 40k has me really excited, and WOW, the Lion and the Fellgors (Just sad the new edition clearly overshadowed the Lion reveal IMO...). And yet we clearly "won" the show. The Tzeentch sorcerer and minions are ALL I wanted them to be, and the three Knights-Arcanum and Seraphons are really good. Little initial negative reaction to the Dawnbringers (the Bloodbowl Halfling face omg) but they are already growing on me. The armor etc. style is perfect : they will fit really well alongside the toned-down Thunderstrike Stormcast and the Cursed Cities heroes aesthetic. Can't wait to see other faces and the rest ! ..... Warhammer Fest starts April 29th
  8. I very mostly agree with @KingBrodd, @Asbestress and @Clan's Cynic 's lists, but wouldn't that be substantially more than last year ? (Pro memoria : https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/03/24/warhammer-preview-online-adepticon-all-the-massive-reveals-are-right-here/ )
  9. Absolutely glorious if true. I want to see Norsca vs Kislev. But it's probably rumor reverb (i.e. fake) because that would mean two whole new models ranges (like redoing the "Marauders" part of Hordes of Chaos with Troll Country monsters).
  10. I too would say "yes", but then I was SURE next Warcry set would be Destruction vs Slaanesh... Absolutely. That's my last "hope" for a proper Slaanesh vs Destruction boxed set (but easily crushed by existence of the Might & Madness book whereas Chaos Legionnary "only" got a White Dwarf fluff article). And where is that Roadmap ??? ANYWAY I think tonight we'll get : AOS : Rest of Seraphon and Season of War II with Spider Incarnate WHU : new Boxedset with COS vs (Daemons of) Tzeentch. (Not really interested in Dante, the Lion and another HH tank, but the Kill Team Gallowdark boxed set is promising (Votann against BEASTMEN is cool)).
  11. Slaanesh, the Great Horned Rat and Gorkamorka / the Maw better get something in Warcry 2nd edition Season 2 : Talaxis Boogaloo !!!
  12. You missed whitefang's post saying they aren't Soulbounds like in the RPG :')
  13. Very strange, apparently there is only TWO different types of body ! Mayor, grand hacha and grand lanza = type 1 Relictor, filos gemelos and grand espada = type 2 Looks like ETB ...
  14. First of all, the Lord Relictor was my favorite AOS1 model, I LOVE to see it Thunderstrike-ized and looking great - also, very happy for the FEC players ! The Crypts of Blood set looks very tempting. But : No Destruction vs Slaanesh ? Very, VERY sad for both. Hate it when GW (though very chaotic) breaks expected pattern. If it's not Nightmare Quest but the first set of the second "season", then it should be set in a 2D environnement like Gallowfall for Kill Team, right ? So that's probably not that... (Or breaking "pattern" again). I just assembled a Thunderstrike warband for Warcry :') Didn't GW say at the start of 2nd Edition that there would be new Warcry models for EVERY Grand alliances ? There is still hope for season two...
  15. Entirely agreed. Having watched both videos, sad to say I'm not really a fan of that mixed aesthetic : old 5th ed. WFB design doesn't really fit in modern Total War style, even with slight "proportions" rework (ex. on Blunderbusses' weapons). Adding 8th ed. Legion of Azgorh units also doesn't do it for me : too much differences (and redundancies). A bit sad, because as @Clan's Cynic said, the Kislev rework was quite impressive while somehow faithful to the 6th ed. models.
  16. @Clan's Cynic Good point, there is indeed a precedent. To play the Nurgle Daemon's advocate, it's easier to have a Launch box with Space Marines than to have one with very different units like TK and Bretonnia... But I d'love to have a MPPK launch boxe like 6th Edition WFB for TOW
  17. Re : Adepticon Being reasonably enthusiastic, IMO for AOS we'll "just" get the (potential) Seraphon Launch Box (containing an as-of-yet unseen unit and the battletome). And something extra, like a new Incarnate / Season of War Book / etc. GW'll probably keep the two Death tomes for Monday reveals (and Dawnbringer for Warhammer Fest... or*...). For Underworlds, I expect the full reveal of the new season Sarter Set, with Tzeentch Daemons vs Freeguild Veterans* (which could be a kind of Dawnbringer preview on its own). Season still set in Ghur, maybe inside some Seraphon Ruins (as I expect the next Warcry season to be set, after Nightmare Quest, ala Gallowdark - Dungeon style).
  18. Interestingly, the CAD renders shown today look like they're from multipart plastic kits, not ETB (as one could expect with a starter set). What a time to be undead / French !
  19. I'm excessively excited for the next reveals for Warcry Slaanesh and Tzeentch Underworlds (snippet has a nice Silver Tower vibe) as well as Seraphon, so one of those three games previewed tomorrow is fine with me.
  20. Like others, and based on the New Year's videos, I want to bet we'll 100% get : AOS : Seraphon (Slann, Saurus, Skink Riders, maybe more / Battletome cover ?) WHU : Arenai Aelves (or Malerion's or Belakor's) Warcry : at least 2 models from Bloodhunt (looking forward to the scenery if any) 40k : Primaris missile guy and Arks Of Omen IV : Farsight / T'au something KT : Soulshackle box (Arbites & doggo ❤️ vs Dark Eldars) HH : moar tanks and space marines I guess ? Maybe DAEMON ASSASSIN Honestly, I'd be happy with more Battletome previews, maybe another Season / Incarnate, even some Freeguilders / Dawnbringers mock-up (apparently there is some cool fluff about them in Black Library : Godeater's Son !) but we are already full with that schedule...
  21. We could still be surprised, but yeah, looks like it. Khorne Headhunters vs Vampyre Cultists. But indeed, I'm even more interested in the new Underworlds Warband now !
  22. Maybe quite soon, after establishing the main land players, as in WFB 6th ed., after Albion and Lustria, the Storm Of Chaos campaign wasn't even the end of said edition.
  23. Just to add : the Southlands are the "Africa" continent equivalent, south of the Old World ("Europe"), not Cathay ("China"). In this way they are closer to the main action of TOW. The 6th-7th WFB ed. fluff also had the the Lizardmen re-conquer Albion and establish a city there, ready to strike in the Old World (well that was a prelude to Storm of Chaos, so around 2500 Imperial Calendar, not 2300 ... ). BTW I really like this "historical" approach to be able to play WFB in its "recent past" (the time of Gorbad, the time of Mordheim, etc.). Anyway, I can't tell you how excited I am for The Old World release They really chose the best time as I always wanted the Great War Against Chaos and the Siege of Praag to be explored It could even mean we'll get Asavar Kul in miniature form, as well as... ENGRA DEATHSWORD
  24. We know, it's the Warhammer size : https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/07/21/square-bases-and-kislev-ascendant-see-your-questions-about-warhammer-the-old-world-answered/ Epic size would work for a Warmaster redesign.
