  1. Yeah, sorry if I wasn't clear : GS et DoS may be coming sometimes and surely AFTER StD. Wanderer and Seraphon may be getting the BT + scenery + spells treatment. And what I meant is that I disagree with you about your interpretation of that specific paragraph, that's all. IMO the paragraph you quoted is very benign in comparison with the numerous hints in Malign Portents, the Core Book, Malign Sorcery, Hedonites of Slaanesh and other recent Battletomes, and more importantly, the rest of the FB book. Tyrion and Teclis, or Devoted of Sigmar, get longer screen time, and certain units too. The Gordrakk paragraph mentions his "wars to come" and even give us a new, specific unit description (the battering ram), I mean it's more hint-y than "and then the Seraphon defended a ziggurat", which just give us several reason to have different armies fighting over the Stormvaults. Other things to take into account is the repetitions of mentions, like that "Necromancers flesh palanquin" that was also in Malign Portent short stories (those stories that also contained the first mention of the penumbral engines that ended up getting a model). It's like the union of the Collegiate Arcane, Eldtrich Council and Swifthawk Agents in Malign Sorcery ; those factions were not updated, even with a paragraph looking like the one you quoted...
  2. As discussed, the whole book contains hints you didn't mentioned, about Devoted Of Sigmar, Gordrakk, Light Aeves, Grotbag Scuttler, Ironweld Arsenal, Necromancer on Flesh Palanquin (who also where in a malign portents short story), etc. - given other recent AOS publications, those are more likely to get releases than Wanderer and Seraphon, Chaos Tribesmen being Slaves To Darkness so post-Warcry goodies.
  3. She is most probably a Wanderer aelf. The covers of many a BL book got characters from the lore (like a female Scourge privateer, many Free people Nobles, etc.), without hinting at new releases - yeah, we got Gotrek and the Warqueen as already out when the novella where released.
  4. So now it's confirmed , I think we'll see the last two Warcry gangs before the Open day, which should indeed coincide with the pre order. Which hopefully means the Preview Seminar will be for POST WARCRY things
  5. Yes, cf. the other thread (and the event they put one hour ago on Facebook). But the post itself disappeared yesterday ; it may return tonight.
  6. I understand those who wants the focus to be put on the development of AOS-proper characters. But IMO Gotrek was quite well introduced in the new setting, his return wasn't a lazy story arc ; yes it is also a nod to the WFB fans (but why not ? and Gotrek is a huge one in terms of "financial" success, GW need to cash on him) but he is also a proper AOS character now, as the model rightly reflects. And as people have said it's quite interesting to see him discover the Mortal Realms, a bit like some of us did (grudgingly). Also, while people seem to focus on Gotrek's return, we have announcements about books on Idoneth and Gloomspite in the same release, about all-new characters . GW is just hyping Gotrek more now because he is an old star AND he is getting a new model. But all things considered, AOS is doing better now than ever - and there is like 5+ other books about AOS coming without counting Gotrek, Idoneth and Gloomspite ! -- I don't think we'll get AOS preorders tonight, alas. Maybe an announcement about the Open Day !
  7. I would't put that much weight to that paragraph, as the whole book is filled with hints and informations about old and new factions, like the Ironweld or the Grotbag Scuttlers. For you're predictions I think you're spot on, but maybe Tzeentch with or in place of StD, and Kharadron instead of Seraphon. Wanderer I'm not sure. Destruction may also be Orruks united as Gordrak is mentioned in the book.
  8. Tomorrow is apparently for Black Library, I'm talking about the UK games expo... (Hope I'm wrong)
  9. @michu Are we sure there is a reveal tomorrow ?... I can't find anything on the program, and the WC article doesn't say something like "come back tomorrow for more"....
  10. Those Universal Chaos releases keeps being incredible. Warcry's Corvus Cabal from Ulgu is very interesting and unsettling ; shadow barbarians assassins for Chaos ? Hell yeah. Those could be easily converted to Tzeentch too (there was a cabal of raven worshippers in one of the Realmgate Wars novel from Black Library). Blackstone Fortress's Chaos cultists also are amazing, yet different form the common cultist and the traitor guardsmen. -- I would love to see some Wanderers conversions based on the Blood bowl team, like their style quite a bit too. -- And people, we got 3 seminars this month, we are not even half way through the year - and with the shipment product, what can we do but wait ?!
  11. It started 36min ago, we should see the article on WarCom in 24 minutes 😁
  12. WHU belong to the AOS setting, of course, but is not in any way a "side" product. It has its own product line (that started, for the Model Studio, as unit variation models for AOS, but then evolved within the AOS studio* and now got its own product line). It has its own rules team, is aimed at different kind of players, and live its own life (with organized events and such). In some area it's bigger than AOS in terms of community events. More importantly, it has its own release schedule. So in terms of design and release, @Aryann is right (as Warcry share similaties with WHU in that regard as far as we know). In terms of setting, GW (or the social media team) sometimes seems to think that if they show something for one of the games within the AOS setting, everybody will be happy. Which is not really true... * If you want to learn more about how products are designed within GW :
  13. We have the reports from the seminars and designers saying it's a new core game i.e. a new supported game, not a one-shot board game, it's been said here many times already. New core game also means new area of development. There will be other warbands. GW said it themselves (more recently at Warhammer Fest). I see you post here all the time so why I are you still asking this man -- EDIT : predictions for the seminar in 4.5 hours : - Underworld Season 3 - Warcry next gang and maybe details on release date and starter set - Another hint, be it filler battletome (Ogors, etc.) or big one (Slaves to Darkness, Death)
  14. What makes you think so ? I mean, it's a game about Chaos gangs fighting for Archaon. We know is will strike back at Nagash and Sigmar. But there is also Slaanesh, the end of the Soul Wars, etc.
  15. Gutbusters I can see it. Or Aelves / Seraphon / Bonespliterz A hint of something else like the Death entity yeah. Space Marines i.e. Primaris Vanguard ? For SG, maybe that Necromunda Enforcer Gang ? I really hope for Slaves to Darkness (not counting the new Warcry gang) personally...
  16. Well, it's exactly the opposite for me. I. Can't. Wait. And really hope we see another gang in more or less 24 hours !
  17. I hope those rumor engines (and some others) are new Darkoath Barbarians and Varanguards on foot. If those Rumor Engines end up being for Warcry gangs, I'll revise my hopes for a Maraudeurs and Chaos Warriors / Chosen updates, until then I still hope for a proper StD release in the aftermath of Malign Portents... 😛
  18. Well, you don't seem to know what "IP" and "Core game" means in GW terms. IP can mean the general totality of Games Workshop's intellectual proprieties, or distinct IPs for distinct games and settings. Necromunda is in this regard a distinct IP from 40k, where Kill Team isn't. Same for Warcry, GW had a dedicated team of designers (around ten of them) working on this game : http://leskouzes.blogspot.com/2019/04/for-dark-gods.html And it's a Core game in the sense it's not an in-house or outsourced stand alone boxed game or board game. If you want more info on that, please check the past pages of this very thread for the reports from the GW seminars (from Vince Venturella and other attendees) and the Studio members themselves explaining how Warcry is a new Core Game and how it's a new, distinct IP (in fact, the last 2-3 GW seminars have repeated this statement many times over already). TL;DR : Warcry was not designed as replacement nor stand-in for the Slaves to Darkness range.
  19. It also has been said here a lot of times already.... but Warcry is a new CORE game. Not a side game. Not a specialist game. It's a new core game, like AOS, 40k or Middle Earth. Because it's a new, distinct IP. And of course they are linked to the Slaves to Darkness, the Warcry warbands ARE Slaves to Darkness in the sense that they are servants of Chaos Undivided. But the terms of kits they (or the Furies) are not in any way designed for a mass battle game : Furies are 2 x 3 same models, and the models are loose gangs of individuals, not infantry regiments fit for open field battles. Anyway, can't wait for Friday 4 PM UK times for the next warband (hopefully ) !!
  20. Yes, it was discussed many times here already. Warcry is linked to StD only in the fluff : Archaon gathering his army for the counter strike against Sigmar and Nagash. In terms of design and game, Warcry is a distinct IP focused on Chaos. It's a Skirmish game, with small bands of very different individual models, with Chaos creatures and multi level scenery. It's not equivalent of an army update ; Warcry gangs are obviously not infantry unit boxes, as in, homogenous, 20-models strong units for a mass battle game (unlike, say, 20 Kairic Acoyltes or 20 Bloodreavers). They are designed as varied bands of individuals. StD, as one of the four Malign Portents army, are bound to get a new Battletome and range update in the same way Sacrosanct, Nighthaunt and Gloomspite Gitz got. The Maraudeurs and Chaos warriors kits also need an update. And we already have Darkoath Chieftain, Darkoath Warqueen, Darkoath Underworlds Warbands and the Everchosen range. There is countless mentions in the fluff and artworks of new Chaos Barbarians, even armoured Warriors. For known examples, see my post here : https://www.tga.community/forums/topic/217-the-rumour-thread/?page=1060&tab=comments#comment-334591
  21. Well and for the other factions' participation, then ? Also the Varanguard recruitment is an ongoing procedure, nothing that links it to a particular Age. It's the chaos way of life.
  22. What makes you believe that (I mean something from the seminar for example ?) I wouldn't mind at all a game set in the Age Of Chaos, but seing that it's called "Warhammer Age Of Sigmar : Warcry", that'd be strange. Also, with all the other non Chaos warbands available, including a clearly Azyrite faction (Stormcast or Devoted), I don't see how the game could be set during the time the Gates of Azyr were closed. Or the Idoneth hidden. I think the game will reflect the general Path to Glory Chaos way of life, and the fact Archaon is assembling an army to strike back at Nagash and Sigmar.
  23. Not that we know.. Also, I would have said that Ghyran, Aqshy and Ghur were the most eligible Realms NOT to have a gang, because at the end of the Realmgates Wars their three All-Gates were closed (well, one just left, but yeah). But we already have Ghur and Ghyran related war bands, so... Maybe Hysh - even if it's infested by Slaanesh and surely Tzeentch too - won't get a gang, to tie in with the Light Aelves new narrative arc ?
  24. Wow so much for the shattered hopes, dude... That artwork cannot be Be'Lakor, as the monster under Lake Lethis is said to be, as per WD, "and old ally and servant of Nagash"....
