  1. Glorious ! (You may have figured out English isn't my first language, so no oddly phrasing involved I guess). So the Starter set book pdf shall be available later in May (a few weeks after the Core Book). Good, good
  2. I am mostly asking because I'd l like to get the starter set book in pdf ASAP after the Core book From what I gathered from BoW interview, the Starter is as of now only physical...
  3. @Emmetation so soon we will be able to purchase the Core Rule pdf, right ? Will there be a physical copy of the book soonish after ? For the Starter Set, is it only physical or will there be a pdf for its book too ?
  4. Yeah of course you are right we can't really know yet. But here is my reasoning on why I think it's a WHU rumor and not a Warcry one : - We know the RE is for Seraphon. (Okay it could be Amazons....) - It isn't for Blood Bowl because the team is already out (well could be an expansion) or for AOS because the battletome is already released (well GW could surprises us). - There already are Warcry cards for Seraphon, but there are no Seraphon WHU bands yet. - We are at the right time of the year for a teaser of the next WHU warbands (i.e. before a first reveal in May at Warhammer Fest, for an Autumn release). Just like last year with the Kurnothi Rumor engines. And around the same time we also have RE for factions that, like Seraphon, haven't got a WHU release yet (OBR, Slaanesh, Idoneth, etc.)...
  5. We know GW tends to stick with models drawn from currently existing or "classic" units for WHU, and seems keen to explore new ground with Warcry (for e.g. DOK ; the WHU warband is entirely made from existing and classic units, but for Warcry the DOK Khainite Shadowstalkers explore the Spies and Assassins tropes - based on the Silver Tower models). And the Warcry Cards cover most of the classic units in AOS range already. (For example you can already play a classic Witch Aelves in Warcry with their Cards, either by using the original AOS kit, or soon with the new WHU warbands). Later you'll get one more option to play another aspect of DoK in Warcy with the Shadowstalkers. And in the last season the WHU teams have mostly been an (existing in the fluff-rules but not yet updated individually) Hero + a Retinue (Blood Queen, Ogor Hunter, Nurgle Sorceress, Brayherd Shaman, etc.). Also, the factions in my last posts are all already playable in Warcry with Cards but are those that haven't yet received a WHU teams, so I guess it adds-up well...
  6. So with the recent Rumor Engines I think we can say Warhammer Underworld Season 4 will get at least : Idoneth, Slaanesh, Seraphon, Ossiarch and Devoted Of Sigmar (not Stormcast, because the comet Rumor Engine is stylized differently). For the rest, really looking forward to the eventual new Starter set ! I hope GW uses WHU to release new stuff for AOS. Like the Ogor Hunter or the Nurgle Sorceress. They filled a hole in their respective model range. Things like Kurnothi are great but I would rather see them in Warcry (more models = more way of exploring a new archetype !)
  7. It was released soon after the Mawtribes book. Monster ! You already have this poor fellow !
  8. It's from the Core book, page 86. It said that the Great Parch Cities of Sigmar (so it does includes Brightspear) use Aqua Gyhranis as a currency because water is so scarce a resource there (water imported through the Stormsrift Realmgate i.e. the one in Hammerhal). We also know common jewels and metals are almost worthless in Chamon, where one deals mainly in know-how and realmstones, that meat from Ghur are worth A LOT in Shyish, and that the sigmarite City of Excelsis in Ghur has built its economy on prophetic shards of stones mined from the Spear of Mallus.
  9. Can't wait ! First for the chapters about the Mortal Realms, the Great Parch, and Religions, but looking forward to the whole gameplay too !
  10. It seems GW has an interesting design policy for their AOS parent games. If we look at Slaves To Darkness or Daughters of Khaine, we can see there are : - For WHU : classic takes on the warbands design (made from generic Darkoath Barbarians or generic units from the DoK ranges with Witch Aelves, etc.). -For Warcry : more extraordinary design inspirations (8 Realm-based Barbarians for STD, Spies and Assassins tropes for the DOK Shadowstalkers). Kurnothi being an (awesome) exception to the "rule" above. But if WHU stay with the classics (variations on Skeletons, Skaven warriors, Gitmob Grot, etc.), we could indeed also get a Phoenix Guard / Dispossessed warbands for WHU season 4. (Even if those are unsupported / squatted later in AOS proper - which doesn't mean anything after the Greenskinz squatting and Rippa' Snarlfangs release). --- As my user name tells, I'm like @KingBrodd and his love for Gargants, but for Nurgle 🤢🤢🤢. Yet his range is almost "complete" in AOS and 40k (only missing a Herald On Palanquin / Epidemius in plastic ! Hopefully coming soon with a Disc Herald for Tzeentch in a box like Wrath & Rapture). My OTHER big wait and love is Devoted Of Sigmar / Order Of Azyr I hope WHU / Warcry provides !!!!!!
  11. I think the 2 first Adepticon online previews were 1/4 each, and the last one with Szeras was 1/2 of what was originally scheduled. Next preview in May should be IMO for the Warhammer Fest orignal reveals. And I hope the obvious OBR rumor engine is for a Warhammer UNDERWORLD warband (because OBR already have a Warcry warband i.e. card). If the pattern in the same than last time, the May preview will tease the next WHU season this Fall; we'll have 8 new warbands that could be from : - Pure AOS : Idoneth Deepkin, Ossiarch Bonereapers - Updated from WFB : Slaanesh Hedonites, Seraphon - New faction / Unlikely : Cities Of Sigmar / Devoted Of Sigmar, Soulblight* (something else like a Slaves to Darkness or Skaven variant, or Kurnothi ? ) *I hope it comes for Warcry instead (= 10ish models a gang, instead of 5ish ) Thats more or less 8 possibilities ! So it looks like we really could have warbands for NEW and interesting factions this time
  12. Don't misunderstand me, as I said I'm still very excited for the game, and I've followed every steps of its development with eager eyes ! So I know well that the deal is to differentiate SB enough from WFRP in terms of power level, but another part of the "deal" IMO is to show the "common life" of the Mortal Realms, notably in the eyes of its normal human inhabitants. So I was expecting (because we were originally told so, and because it was one of this games goals) to be able to play at least one, even if he was from the lower end of the power spectrum. And on the matter of flexibility, I still don't get why "a Sylvaneth with a harpsichord" is more valid an Archetype than a Freeguild Soldier. Also yeah I've read every bit of lore from Malign Portent to Dark Harvest, Callis and Toll and those witch takers from C L Werner - so I know even a lowly Freeguild sergent can do GREAT things in the vastness of the Mortal Realms But as I said I'm happy with the prospect of world building (notably the wonderful Great Parch map !!!!) and the possibility of playing as an Excelsior Wapriest
  13. Hi, @Emmetationthanks for the clear-up, but I'm a bit worried by this news. One of the main reasons people are waiting for your RPG, as far as I can tell, is the possibility, at last, to have a "down to earth" view at the "day to day" life in the Mortal Realms. Like in some Malign Portents short stories. You said it yourself, you wanted to show us how life is like in Aqshy and beyond. Now I understand you need to differentiate Soulbound enough from WFRP. And of course, in terms of scope / possibilities and "power level", AOS is above WFB. And GW probably pushed for you to use existing (or supported) AOS models for your Archetypes. But then I fail to see how a Black Ark Corsair / Captain (while maybe more fantastical / exotic) is that different from a Freeguild Solider / Officier in terms of power level. And one of the biggest thing the setting is missing right now is a "common, AOSified" human faction. I guess we still have the Excelsior Warpriest. And judging by the cover of the book, I hope to see the influence of Warhammer Quest : Silver Tower on Soulbound. WHQ was the game that IMO achieved the best level between the new and old, the mundane and extraordinary the AOS setting could offer (latter Warcry provided that too). While not knowing the game itself, I had the impression your 40k RPG had a good scale of playable Characters, from Guardsmen to Primaris with Inquisitors, Rogue Traders and Techpriest in-between. And of course, more exotic Xenos. TLDR : while not expecting a WFRP level of mundane grittiness, people are expecting a more "reliable" power level to be at least playable in AOS:SB than in the battle game itself. And you'll get some discontent for not including a "common human" Archetype (even it would be the weakest of the list). Can then you please tell us why you did not include those two in the core set in the end ? P.-S. : what is a Realmswalker ? An Aelf ranger ? Some kind of Human monk ?
  14. I literally CAN'T WAIT I've been following your great project from the beginning. It looks wonderful. (Well okay I would not mind if you'd take another week to proof read it again, as I wish it to be perfect, but still....) But the second it's available online I will buy it. And it will be awesome. BRING IT ON
  15. Well said ! Also 2020 is the year the AOS RPG makes its debutes. Warcry expands on new territory. All races got their battletome updated to 2nd Ed. fluff standard (most notably Seraphon). The worldbuilding is expanding greatly (to the Eightpoints, Hysh and Ulgu lately). Maybe we'll get to see Azyr and Ghur with later expansions in 2020 already 😍

  17. Clearly the best preview of the three IMO. To see so early the start of ORDER warbands for Warcry warmth my heart to no end. Also, it's great to see they take another aspect of a faction to explore (it's not just the DoK warband from WHU - which is great already - with cards ; it's NEW models entirely ❤️ ). I can't wait for the next show in May, with (I guess) more infos on 9th ed. 40k and Necrons. -- I loved almost every Blackstone Fortress releases (not their prices lol) and Im quite sad they announced it's the last installment in the series...... HOWEVER IT MEANS GW CAN SHIFT WARHAMMER QUEST TO AOS AGAIN. They talked about it on some podcasts already... That kind of product line (lot's of old school stuff with new wonders like the Drones) would do marvel for AOS.......
  18. My sources were correct about Illuminor Szeras, so the rest should be true too
  19. Just a manner of speech Those are second hands rumors from two (Internet) persons I know that are, up to now, reliable. Time will tell, but I have faith in them.
  20. Yes. RUMOR TIME : We know the Illuminor Szeras (new mini in plastic) will be the main antagonist for PA9, Pariah (as an old fluff blurb from 7th edition has him work on Pariah gene from Culexus assassin). We know 40k 9th edition is coming later this year (8th codexes will still be valid, new rules fur fusion, re-roll, etc.) We know Emperor's Children (noise marines, Fulgrim) will be featured, and Necron will get a huge boost (probably Silent King, finecast Characters and Flayers will get plastic, idem for models with green plastic rods). But I expect those news to be for May (Warhammer Fest Online preview(s). --- I'm really happy for Warcry new tomorrow Hope : a new Order war band teased (Devoted ?) or OBR ? (The Axe rumor engine - but then OBR already are in Warcry...). Fear : just another book. (which is still cool.....)
  21. Well, Nighthaunt has an amazing range (for AOS and WHU), and two great exclusive models. It also got the Legion of Grief rules in Forbidden Power and the Dolorum supplement in White Dwarf already. What we know so far : - A White Dwarf showed different artworks of the city of Excelsis in Ghur, arts not used in the later released Cities Of Sigmar book nor anywhere else yet. - Forbidden Power, then a story on WarCom, then Orruks Warclans and Cities of Sigmar all confirmed that Gordrakk stole in a Stormvault a Godbeast skull and mounted it on a Siege engine. He wants to attack Azyr (an unexplored Mortal Realm at least in terms of map and supplement), but first he wants to test his battering ram on Excelsis in Ghur (another unexplored Realm in terms of map and supplement). - We have a "Soul Wars" supplement for Chaos and Death aka Wrath Of The Everchosen with some siege rules already. Those factions left, Order and Destruction, are the protagonists of the other "Soul Wars" subplot, i.e. Gordrakk attacking Excelsis. - GW has updated all battletomes so far (and is ready to launch two new armies aka LRL and SOB) and seems fond in releasing supplements recently (Psychic Awakening style). All this add-up very well IMO.
  22. The second mention of the "Gordrakk attack excelsis" narrative arc : https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/09/06/forbidden-power-the-hammer-god/ The first being in the Forbidden power book itself, and the others in the Cities Of Sigmar and Orruk Warclans battletomes respectively
  23. That would be glorious. And frankly, Ironjawz and SoB Gatebreakers are soooo fitting a choice to burn down Excelsis it's not funny x) And I can think of SO MUCH reasons to make the Devoted Of Sigmar a proper army ...... Sigmar Willing
  24. Okay. Looks like a magical / honorific Staff or Banner pole****. Idk why, it looks less elaborate (smaller ?) that the one used by SCE. So it could mean.... - BEST SITUATION : a whole new range of Devoted Of Sigmar (at last common Human Azyrites for AOS, probably for the Siege Of Excelsis or of Azyr book vs Gordrakk which should be coming this year. It should also mean maps of Azyr and Ghur would be coming.....) - Almost BEST SITUATION : a new Devoted Of Sigmar warband for WHU or Warcry (or WHQ ? Cf. Silver Tower and the Excelsior Warpriest). - Okay Situation : a new Stormcast Chamber (probably "Ruination" for the siege theme) or warband for Warcry or WHQ (I don't think WHU need a fifth SCE gang.......) *** those Devoted have lots of staff, banners and poles don't they...................................................................................
