  1. With talk of what the new Slaanesh mortals will look like, I'd like to bring attention to this passage in the CRB. It could mean nothing, but they've almost certainly designed whatever Slaanesh mortal models we're going to get so I reckon this may allude to the design choices. I can't point out an exact example, but I'm sure mentions in the fluff often precede appearances in model form. In addition, it would seem a little odd to describe all of these things for AoS2, and then have a release that was nothing like what was in the CRB. It suggests 'fabulous knights' (maybe Hellstriders, but they don't look much like knights and they're not all that fabulous), 'golden chariots' (maybe the seeker chariots, but there was a mortal riding a big chariot in Malign portents), and dancers wearing hideous masks and fake claws (no comparable model in the Slaanesh range, but sound a bit like Sisters of Slaughter).
  2. I think 15 may be a little excessive Mostly just because their base size would stop all of them getting in at once. I reckon 10 would be okay, though - good for taking down units of archers.
  3. Seekers can run and charge - they're the fastest unit in AoS - so they're meant to be squishy hunters. Unfortunately, I think we pay 120pts for their speed alone - they do nothing once you get there unless you're against a 6+ save. They need some sort of combat buff, or at least a spell/ability that would make them better in combat.
  4. I agree, Hellstriders are much better than Seekers, and Seekers don't feel worth their points. I would love to see them come down to 100, or to have a rule that made them more offensive (+1 to hit on a charge would be nice). For the moment, I'd suggest assuming that something about Hestriders and Seekers may change. Yeah, the -1s to hit are great. The Hellstrider banner even stacks with itself, so long as it's within different units. While it may change later, it allows us to get key enemy units on -3 to hit. You can't go wrong with daemonettes. The more the better - they're pretty much good at everything. The exalted chariot with herald is probably the best chariot out of the bunch. Don't expect it to do much after its initial charge, but it can really hurt a large horde.
  5. They're a really fun army, their tricks just take a bit of getting used to as they're so fragile
  6. You'd choose them to attack twice per combat phase so if you use it on unit 1, then you'd select it to attack, then wait until your opponent had selected, and then choose unit 1 again. That said, the exalted keeper of secrets gives an immediate pile in.
  7. I think, by the rules, you can have both as you can have multiple icon bearers and they don't all have to have the same banner. However, I wouldn't bother doing so until after the battletome comes out as there's a good chance it'll be changed. Hellstriders, at the moment, are rubbish in combat as they get so few attacks (and the attacks they do get are pants). I'd only ever consider using them as a combat unit if they got an extra attack each, better to hit or wound, and did more on a charge (like 2 damage).
  8. I wonder what our spells will be like. After playing 40k for a bit (Slaanesh daemons and mortals), we seem to have very good psychic powers. I wonder if we'll get similar magic to those powers, or if they'll try something totally different.
  9. Yeah, a mobile debuff would be great at tying people up. Perhaps it'd be a bit too strong, but if they made enemy units attack last (like the forest dragon used to do), it could provide some very good utility.
  10. What do people reckon they could add to the fiends to make them better? Obviously more rend/attacks/damage will make them better, but I think the core of their issue is they don't have a place in the army. What place do you think they could be given and could excell in? Perhaps some high rend monster killers would be nice, similar to scythe kurnoths (but faster and squishier).
  11. Would love a rendition of the mirror guard, especially if Sigvald is coming back (as Malign Portents seemed to suggest).
  12. Reminds me a bit of this type of bullet clip
  13. Definitely a new Slaanesh fiend. People have also predicted plastic heralds for both, but nothing has been confirmed about that.
  14. Anyone else notice 'Six' and '32 wounds' flash up throughout the video. Six is an obvious reference to Slaanesh's number, but no idea where 32 wounds comes from. Edit: now that I've caught it on a screenshot, it says something else - looks like '35 sound'. Probably means nothing and was just added on for the theme, but popped up a few times.
  15. I really like it. Love how sleek it looks, and that it's very dynamic.
  16. Yeah, it may just be a running theme of Slaanesh, but now I've seen this picture I really want it to be a model.
  17. There's a similarity between the leaked kit and this old picture (I've heard people call it a phantasm of Slaanesh, but I'm unsure if that's the official name). Would be awesome to have a fiend/phantasm duel kit.
  18. Yeah, it's 100% a new model or an extremely good fake (very unlikely). The picture seems to have spread around the internet quickly. Wonder if this will mean GW will release a properly shot version of the model in response. In one way, I hope they do because I really want to see it, on the other hand I would kind of feel bad having a big Chaos announcement at the start of Orktober.
  19. Yup, just a shame that they're not very interesting in AoS. They don't have a niche.
  20. Very excited to see this! Hopefully it's released in Wrath and Rapture, and on its own. Looks like a lot has been chopped out of the sprue, so this may include all of the legs and the third fiend's torso.
  21. Looks like we're getting something soon! Seem to be fiends. Hope they come with a rules update.
  22. Looks like this might answer our rumour engine. It's not totally clear, but there are strong similarities.
  23. What about a second keeper of secrets? They're very killy and tend to make their points back. I'd also suggest the Masque, as her half movement can win you a game. I think she has the highest depravity point generation per point, as well (don't expect much from her, but she's worth it).
  24. Only thing I've heard about W&R was from someone at the event who said it was a box set which would include new models. Not sure how reliable this info is, though. Lady Atia did back this up and said there were new Slaanesh models due, and I don't think they've been wrong before.
  25. Yeah, I feel it's very much a work in progress. GW get feedback, they work on that feedback, and hopefully improve. It's a good way to do it, as it means battletomes continue to get better and better (but not necessarily stronger and stronger). I am a bit wary of being optimistic for the Slaanesh battletome - not that I think it'll be bad (no battletome so far has made an army worse, afaik) - as getting myself too excited for it is bound to end in disappointment. The one thing I am worried about (and this is hopefully unfounded) is that we'll get niche abilities that only work in very specific scenarios, a bit like our BoC battalion. I know GW don't have the best track record with Slaanesh, but like discussed, GW are listening to feedback more regularly now. A bit off topic, but now you've mentioned the amount of stuff Stormcast has, they seem a bit of a mess. Far too bloated (Sigmar should call himself the God of Excess), and I can imagine overwhelming to new players. I wonder if they'll try simplify things next battletome, or if they'll do a true branching off like generic Space Marines Codex vs the Blood Angels Codex. While I would rather they were put to rest for a while, that realistically isn't going to happen and so the problem needs to be addressed.
