  1. Saw the new Magnus model at the 40k open day today and changing my opinion on it being s dual model. Under his chest armour there are space marine 'plugs' (same as the wulfen black carapace ones), plus the legs are tree trunk thick (thicker than the Bloodthirster), far too chunky for a slender Lord of Change. I can see the wings working but rest seems too heavy set
  2. My guess is it'll be the £125 mark. Basically the same as the Bloodbound and Stormcast once (Beastclaws were £135). Happy to be wrong though
  3. Indeed it will! Good bit of debugging, I'll replicate and try and work out what's going on
  4. I was chatting to some of the sculptors at the AoS Open Day earlier this year who told me the information on the 2 year span and how some bits are done as a rapid response such as the anniversary marine. Basically there is a hidden team in GW that handles all of the release schedules, but the sculptors themselves are working on models aimed at release in 2 years. Main GW also has a tradition of producing the rules to match the models rather than the other way round, so as @Darth Alec says the "rules/fluff" element makes quite a bit of difference to when we get a model in our mitts
  5. Completely agree, they chop and change all over the shop and can do a rapid turn around too. The 40k anniversary marine was done in under two months and the WHW exclusive Stormcast wasn't originally meant to be released until Christmas
  6. It's closer to two years for their release schedule
  7. I'm looking forward to the larger Chaos Black spray - just hope it's slightly more cost effective than the standard size Tints do sound interesting too - not sure where they fit into the grand scheme of things? They look like they come with one of the textured paint paddles so who knows!
  8. The pack GW are selling has two colours in, you can use one for tens and the other for units, so could easily mark up to 100 wounds. No reason why you have to of course, you could simply add more than one dice together!
  9. Yup they're D10's from the looks of it - but two colours so you can use one for the tens and the other for the units. Though it'd be easy to knock GW on this it does seem like they've come up with a practical solution to marking wounds
  10. Agreed. I'm of the opinion that anything you place as part of your army (be it summoned or otherwise) should have a nominal points cost
  11. Behemoth loading should now be fixed an there should also be a bit of a gap between the table and text. I can't replicate the text going wibbly, but if the gap nudge doesn't resolve it, I think I know what could.
  12. @Darth Alec No bother at all! Sorry about the delay been "off the radar" for the weekend and yesterday. I'll try and work out what's going wobbly
  13. Interesting! I do have a sneaking suspicion that Geigor was originally meant to be Bjorn and FW said no...
  14. N Lol, thanks Not a problem in the slightest! I've just changed the card background colour to white as this was a pain when printing them out (it was a slight off-white colour). I'll ultimately make this editable though
  15. That should be sorted now. Appears FF wasn't liking how I was trying to force the jpg to download! I've not been able to try it with adblock plus though so let me know if it still doesn't work
  16. Spoke to Andy and James at the FW OpenDay about this. The ruleset was being written to have rules for vehicles and troops but not necessarily included within the Adeptus Titanicus book (this was undecided at that point). The impression I got is that they want to create a single ruleset for all of the large scale games, but Adeptus Titanicus will be purely about gigantic robots blowing each other up
  17. I've had it confirmed that it is "highly likely" we'll see all of the classic Bloodbowl teams re-released for the new game, mostly likely in a similar format they're doing the Dwarves & Skaven - so models, double-sided pitch and special cards. I am irrationally looking forward to Chaos Dwarves No confirmation on if they'll be FW resin or plastic. With the usual "never say never" caveat, I can't see AoS factions appearing. At least not until we've got the classic teams. So far it's been confirmed that we've got/getting Bloodbowl (classic version recreated) Adeptus Titanicus (based on the classic, in a different scale with new rules) Warhammer Quest (out already, new game variation of the classic) The Hobbit/LotR (tidying up the rules and re-releasing models) Epic Armageddon (nothing known) Necromunda (nothing known) Battlefleet Gothic (nothing known) There's a pretty even split of re-imagining of classic games and keeping the same ruleset/scale so who knows on BFG!
  18. Think the evidence of it being unlikely sold as a dual kit is that the box art (which may or may not be the final version), is marked "Thousand Sons" and 40k (larger box art can be found on FB), there's little logic behind a customer going into a store, asking for a LoC and being handed a 40k primarch model. The snippet on the right isn't large enough to actually say what it is - however it has red feet so is most likely the side box art. Unless GW are making a change and going for red Tzeentch daemons now? As @Shane says this is a huge deal for GW, the last time they created a Primarch was for Epic, 20+ years ago so from a business point of view, I can't see why they wouldn't make the most of it! Think the 40k Open Day is going to be very interesting in a few weeks time
  19. What setup are you using (browser and operating system) using and I'll do some testing
  20. Hi all, So it's been almost a month since I did any work on on WSD and although far from finished, pretty much all of the component parts work and allow the creation of a printable warscroll (the purpose of the tool). There are 60 registered Google users and over 260 Warscrolls saved to the database! On my personal list of things I want to improve: GUI Layout - needs a complete overhaul and to try and simplify the form (don't show sections if a warscroll doesn't have them), this includes a better way of loading/saving warscrolls Warscroll Layout - allowing the option to force a column to wrap over rather than rely on the slightly flaky automatic wrapping Shareable Warscrolls - I still would like to be able to share warscrolls between the community Grand Alliance Selection - prepopulated with the necessary keywords Better language handling - there are a couple of users who have a non standard character sets (such as Russian) But is there anything I've missed that the community would like?
  21. I've messed around with sharpening the image of Rob and the artwork. Light sources are muzzle flashes without a doubt, pretty positive it's Thousand Sons too as you can just about make out the odd head piece. The winged bit Rob has covered is Magnus - you can see his head horns. Not 100% convinced it's a Gaunt Summoner although the silhouette is similar it seems too large and more similar to Thousand Sons Sorcerer - although time will tell on that one. I still reckon Magnus is going to be a "character" upgrade that uses sprues from a Lord of Change in the same way Skarbrand uses sprues from the Bloodthirster. I'll stick my neck out and say he won't have a warscroll as the leaked box art is branded up Thousand Sons which are all know are 40k (Glotkin doesn't have a 40k profile so there is some basis here). However I fully expect to see people using him as a Lord of Change - and why not What I'm curious about is to see is when he's released. I read one rumour that it was Q2 next year which makes sense as Inferno (Horus Heresy Prospero campaign book - including Russ and Magnus) was/is due for release this year - but we know that GW tweak scheduling so who knows, he may come out sooner than originally planned. Also agree the weekend release could be a new Lord Relictor - and although I understand the comments on "more stormcast" don't forget that there are 6 character models you cannot buy outside of the Age of Sigmar starter set. If this is the start of them releasing those as clam packs (or at least models that you could use for those 6 characters) this could also hint at us getting a new starter set next year to reflect the next age of AoS? Don't you love official rumours that just allow for more guesswork
  22. Agreed - I've only got a dozen or so of them (plus seekers) so would be nice to have enough to field
  23. In order to be made in finecast, a metal model would need a new master mold - it's one of the things GW learned when they initially went over to finecast which is why a lot of that initial wave of models were really bad! It's also quicker to 3d sculpt a new model than 3d scan and tidy it up (unless they have some new voodoo to improve this). However this rumour would tie into the fact that most of the old LotR and Hobbit models are being brought back in their original material so it's plausible they're expanding this for other models too. This said I don't know how much work converting a metal model to FW resin would be so it's possible this may be a new route for some?
  24. Hats off to you - I'm really impressed with those conversions. Pretty much getting to the point of starting to do some for my Bloodbound too so nice bit of inspiration. Much prefer the more armoured Bloodsecrator too
  25. Think it depends on what you are likely to play in 30k. Death Guard and Iron Warriors look weird in mk4 This box, like Calth, is intended to get the base plastic marines into production to ease FW's production so they can focus on the rest of the 30k minis.
