Admittedly not an IDK player but I'm not sure that Thralls actually are as bad as their reputation would suggest. Fix the range issue
well that seems like a pretty big problem dont it??? maybe that's why they have a reputation of being bad???

They might be in Lore however ingame both armies do not represent what they are supposed to be AT ALL. Well, at least some consistency with Chaos
Let's be real, very few armies represent what they're supposed to be in totality on the tabletop
At most some 30% if you're lucky

Didn't std and chaos space Marines just get a big narrative push last edition? Theyve always been the baddy poster boys
Even in the necron focused 9th edition chaos was front and center on the cover at least

Skaven are a weird one. According to Steam achievements, more people have finished a Tomb Kings (a DLC) campaign than Skaven one. It doesn't help they were even less played until the Prophet and the Warlock DLC added in most of their missing 'iconic' units and mechanics. I think a lot of Skavendom is largely memes.
As far as tww skaven go, to complete a skaven campaign pre auto resolve update you'd have to play through every. Single. Battle. as skaven or lose your army because their auto resolve was so bad. This changed with dlc but it was mostly painful

According to Rumors GW switched to another Poster-Boy faction for AoS.
Which faction might it be? I am assuming Lumineth, however Soulblight appears to be a bestseller.
from whom?

So you are saying Colonialism is fine when used against subhuman heathens?
Its not about hope either, repeatedly going over just how grimderp suicidal the whole thing is is wasting word count that could be used for literally anything else like talking about how the different Order factions organise or support their crusades which is sorely lacking imho.
Hell, a two page spread describing different ways of moving the floaty rocks instead of just raw manpower? Wind spirits, clanking steam wagons, harnessed hydras, Ironclads etc etc the potential is pretty limitless.it's a holy war, not colonialism, and gw isn't interested in detailing logistics in their wargame, every time they've attempted it's always sounded goofy

Someone come drop a credible rumor please the natives are getting restless and posting paragraphs of word vomit

What brings me some joy is that "female duardin please" seems to be much more common position, at least on these boards, than I thought!
GW may yet surprise us, but I don't expect anything but a single tome coming to FS (well...for a duardin faction, at least). We'll see soon.
Female duradin would be cool. Female skaven.... God help us. Searching social media for skaven is a mine field as it is

God, I hate Malerion... Got thrust into the Mortal Realms, granted Godhood just because. Morathi is a manipulator, but she had to work for everything she has in the Mortal Realms and fought the followers of Chaos and of Nagash, and also Kragnos. While Malerion did nothing after helping to chain Slaanesh. And he - I will never tire to criticize that - sl@tshamed his mother in that short story.
bizarre standards to hold a evil elf to. As we all know elves are just naturally written as the best at anything so an evil elf would be the most evil being in the universe

I found a list that claims that Nightrunners came out in 2002 and so they are nearly 20 years old. The average brown rat lives 2 years meaning that it has taken roughly ten lifetimes for the worst looking unit in the game to get updated. Even the legendary Rodney the rat would not have lived to see the release. 😢
So what does this mean in terms of rumours... 20 year anniversary special for Night runners? I sure hope so!
For all of the new folks wondering if the booster shot is impacting my mental state? No, this is how I normally am, also how did you know I just got the booster? They came out in 1999 with mordheim I believe

Skaven are so comically out of date that any of the major clans could get an update and it'd make sense

Why would it? It‘s changing a string in an array/list/database entry.
I would not be surprised if the app is some eldritch abomination of duct tape where the data is stored nonsensically.

Virgin 40k fan? How cruel to forget the important part of it - proper virgin 40k fan! Before GW got more kid-friendly and simple in their storytelling and wrote stuff in a more black and white manner, Magnus perhaps didn't do everything right (he was still hella foolish) but he was an actual victim pretty much, and not just of circumstance. No Horus intercepting and messing with the message, the Emperor was simply wrong about the TS which in turn made the TS way more tragic and more interesting villains than how things are now. I'm still offended by the decision to dumb down so many cool plot points. I guess that's why I believe everyone should know that the Imperium (and the God-Emperor) are just as trashy as all the others.

I'm hoping this has something to do with Fyreslayers. We're REALLY due for more models (and not just one on foot battlebox hero). I know about the battlebox rumours, but if it's just one model per army it'll be pretty disappointing for both Idoneth and Fyreslayers.
I hope they properly support the armies that need expansion first (Idoneth, Fyreslayers, Ironjawz, all ranges with resin, etc.) before they add too many new armies again. Chaos Duardin could be cool, but there are already 2 (3 if you include CoS) pretty neglected Duardin ranges out there which deserve a lot better than being forgotten or getting souped.they need to properly support the armies with mismatched size metal battleline, not that i'm biased or anything

@KingBrodd @Enoby

@Gothmaug I agree with so much of the sentiment. Hell I reckon I spend more time on Third party manufacturers, etsy and Instagram looking at upcoming cool non gw kits to see what cool miniatures are out there to use for Warhammer and AoS. And that makes me a little sad. I’m also wracked with conflicting emotions when I see companies do blatant versions (different designs not recasts) of GW’S IP. Where partly I think “ How dare they” followed by “cool I’ll get one”.
As for yall complaining about tumour engines being posted. Maybe we should say “could be a Chaos Dwarf Chainsword or an Umbraneth boot”. It may turn your disapproval. We post the rumour engine regardless of content weekly. If mods aren't happy with it cool. But I personally don’t agree with ignoring a whole side of the hobby just because we aren’t personally interested in it.
Again, I’ll leave it to the Mods to decide for us.
this is age of sigmar discussions - rumor thread not games workshop discussions- rumor thread, it's beyond obvious that none of the rumor engines so far involve age of sigmar at all so why take up the space on the page
I could go full hopium and say ah it's clearly some advanced tech for something interesting in aos but we all know that's not going to be true
