  1. I think a lot of that is plausible- the core game bit would be more like MiddleEarth rather than AoS- means them getting that little bit more support [especially in terms of plastic kits]. I expect they will be doing the same with the new Heresy [although that might just be Specialist Games getting more capacity]. The only thing that really stands out [other than the early release date which seems way too optimistic] is "they haven't decided" on the starter set armies - that will have been settled early on- Kislev vs Deamons certainly would work. What I would hope to be true from this is the game getting a decent level of support and resources, granted not at 40k/AoS levels but I think for it to be successful it would need more than BB/Necromunda etc.. Fingers crossed ... [still want some Norse Dwarf rumours!]
  2. I like the new dragons, they will be interesting to see in different colours. It will be interesting to see if dragons appear in other factions in this new form. [Thinking the new Blood dragons riding blue/black dragons..]. Also that rumour engine photo is likely 40k Eldar Avatar of Khaine- thats his bloody hand I think.
  3. Could be an Eldar Avatar model- the Bloody Hand.
  4. Nice dragons! They look to be a 2. model set. Not wild about that colour scheme and I'd love to see them with the new blood knights on their backs but they are fantastic models!
  5. Could they fit in a small and big release before Christmas? 40k Orks are soon, then Black Templar's, I'd Maggotkin would fit in there as a small release [especially after the Stormcast and Orruk Warclans releases then maybe something before Christmas before the December releases of paint sets/terrain/battleforces.
  6. I thought it was Maggotkin - thought was a solid assumption?
  7. Yeah it was seeing what they are doing with Killteam - dedicated model kits and terrain that made me think of Warcry being due a new wave .. probably not soon to clash with Killteam but maybe next year? The scale of both games is perfect for investigating odder elements of factions I can't wait to see what they bring out for both systems!
  8. I was thinking about Warcry - its gone very quiet after the shadow stalkers release.. we were hoping they heralded new faction specific war cry boxes.. and the map had different icons on it.. then nothing. Surely due some news soon? would love a duardin kit...
  9. Yeah I saw that re:cursed city, Mauler on Dakka/Bolter said they simply hadn't expected that level of demand [they had ordered 4 times the stock of Blackstone]. They have bought 2 new pieces of land beside their existing factories to expand further. Seems they are working flat out to try and meet demand - permanent nightshifts and weekend shifts.. Nice that all staff are getting a bonus too.
  10. I like the octopus idea- perhaps an Octo-sea serpent/dragon. I think the only reason Idoneth [like KO] won't get an update soon is just because other factions need models/are higher up in the design queue. Seraphon/Skaven/BoC/CoS need stuff for starters, there's new factions to add and Sylvaneth are due an update as they are from 1st Ed. Idoneth will probably get new models, just perhaps not this edition. Its frustrating but GW has limits to its production..
  11. I would love this! New dwarfs would be ace and getting a sneak peek at how the new Grungni faction might look would be cracking!
  12. Well in 3rd edition 20 models was a big unit, 30 was a horde- units of 50+ only became a thing in the later editions so huge units isn't necessarily a thing fixed within WFB. Blocks of troops very much is though. Really looking forward to what they might do with the older factions as sculpting has moved on so much in the last few years. seeing Wood Elves and Norse Dwarfs labeled so prominently in the maps is exciting but obviously the push will be new factions and some of the old kits still stand up. Exciting times ahead !
  13. Really delighted to hear about this -brilliant that we can dust off our old armies, I never rebased my dwarf army -I just never thought they truly belonged in AoS. I imagine they will maybe rerelease some of the old WFB kits that still hold up -much like how they did for Middle Earth. Really hoping for Norse Dwarfs at some point, they could replace the old core models ..but it all sounds cool. Might finish building that Goblobber I have ferreted away..
  14. Yeah I was thinking that- looks like a hammerhead, a wrapped blade/cleaver and a line of stakes. The frame of the figure looks human. Could be a Dawnbringer character I get the feeling of someone accompany a baggage train like a blacksmith or something.
  15. Seriously cool kit! Love both builds and they are teasing the Stormcast getting something equally big revealed next week- probably the new dragon.
  16. Tabletop world look like they do nice kits- I've not got any but I've always admired them. Not cheap mind!
  17. Yeah but they always seem to mess up - foiled from full victory due to their infighting.. Personally I despise Skaven and Chorfs - they are the perfect villains I want to fight as a long time dwarf player- Chorfs have turned to chaos and betrayed their heritage and Skaven are racial enemies of dwarfs [I have fought my mates Skaven for years and have a list of grudges against them as long as your arm]. The great thing about them appearing in AoS is dwarfs aren't a fading empire they are out to reclaim their realms - KO alone are a force to be reckoned with so those two factions certainly wouldn't have things their own way, very different from the old world. As factions they have. a lot to offer AoS I think with Chorfs and their evil furnace master heritage and the skaven and their dastardly technologies chemical/mechanical and biological = perfect to direct the wrath of the dwarfs against.
  18. Yeah it would be great if we got a roadmap for the next few. There are lots of candidates for the next tomes but I've no idea what might be coming when - personally eager to see new Dwarfs and Kurnothi, Chaos dwarfs are rumoured and I could see Skaven/Seraphon/BOC getting updates this edition. I'd say Dawnbringer Crusades to update CoS are likely as well and probably forgetting a few.
  19. Yeah that been rumoured for years, but I'm sure its their ultimate aim, they are certainly getting there with quite a few factions. Yes much as I'd love Nids soon im not expecting anything until Jan/Feb next year along with Octarius 2 book [presuming it comes out about 6 months after the first]. Not sure we will see much for AoS before Christmas beyond Kruelboyz, stormcast and the chaos Tome. Skaven would be great and they are due some new models but isn't the rumour for Maggotkin first?
  20. The dragons could be a separate faction like the Sons... or maybe they are pledging their friendship to a proper deity- Grungni... dwarf aircav getting a boost, you heard it here first! 😇
  21. Prow of a ship/warmachine . Might be dwarf or Dawnbringer.
  22. Well I was hoping for a teaser video at the end showing a peek at a grungni faction dwarf but impressive new things none the less. The Kruleboyz models are really disturbing - in a very good way. The Skumdrekk in particular is amazing and the Sloggoth will give me nightmares .. There must still be a few kit left to reveal though.. but very happy for green skin fans. More promising is the Octarius sector 40k hints.. hoping for a Nid or two... claws crossed...
  23. Could be a croc style creature standing upright.. there definitely looks like a lot of hanging gear...
  24. Could also be a reaction to all the slagging they get for hyping the reviews.. They do seem to be experimenting with the format a little to find the best mix. Hoping there is a little peek at what's coming beyond the Stormcast and Kruelboyz like they did with 40k.. just a glimpse of a new Grungni faction dwarf..🙏
