Not knocking anyones opinion but I LOVE those new Ogroids. They seem to have a few subtle nods to the old Chaos Ogres which is cool - I think they look awesome!

Fantastic stuff, especially that gorgeous Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount!
I think the very busy looking Daemon Prince would paint up quickly using contrast. I think I'd prefer to go to town on the old one. It's sweeping, open surfaces really shine with a careful layer/edge/glaze paint job. Might see if I can get the old one before it's gone...
... Although, I do have a tendency to not really appreciate how good new models are at first glance. Maybe I need to give it a few days to see if my opinion changes?

My initial thoughts of the Incarnate was that it was just okay but the more I look at it the more I like it. I would love to paint one up but I have heaps of ruined buildings and two Ghurish Heartland game boards already. Hopefully, the Incarnate will get an individual release later. I am very tempted to get the scenery pack but I think it will be just the book for now.

This new book is absolutely astonishing for me. I've been playing ALL my games in Thondia since I started playing Age of Sigmar. I was playing in Thondia before it was called Thondia! Hell, we even finished a skirmish campaign set in the ruins of Dovgarak, a ruined city of my own in the foothills of the Khrondspine Mountains, which finished with an ancient king releasing a primordial magical entity into the realms!
It's as if Phil Kelly and Ben Johnson turned up at my house to watch our games so they could decide what the studio needed to do next.
To finish, here is the moment just before the Krondspine Incarnate first appeared in the Mortal Realms! (According to my gaming group!)

As much as I think it would be awesome to see the return of our much loved space bikers...
This is GW's annual April Fools Day joke.
Please note, I am not trying to upset anyone. I get the wanting to believe. (I personally think the whole thing was freaking hilarious though - sorry!)

I think that Skink model is just breathtaking. Congratulations to Gavin on his incredible work.

Yes, the box guides were very basic. I find the citadel app, which is the same as the website I think, to be much more useful too. The paint by model guides are also helpful but they clearly aren’t the method used to achieve the displayed ‘Eavy Metal painted models shown which is a little annoying.

I am also sad to see the painting advice on the boxes go. I recall the ones on the night haunt boxes were helpful. It's a little bit of encouragement to the purchaser to get in there and give painting a go.

Indeed I hope the Battletome painting tips stay. Painting is a core part of the hobby and I think deserves at least a few pages. I found the ones in the Ogor Mawtribes and Cities of Sigmar book really helpful.

As all my games take place in Thondia, I feel like this new book is made for me. Do like the new scenery, especially the big dragon skeleton. I recently saw some nicely painted up statues and domicile shells in the flesh and they do look really good.

I am not annoyed - I can’t see myself actually using this Battlescroll after all, but I am concerned it isn’t good PR for the game. Hopefully, the General’s handbook will get things back on track.

Was a bit dubious about this being a negative winging thread but your follow up comment @Battlefury and the high quality of responses has been a good read. I think some people forget that not all of us are super competitive gamers. Most of the things on the list here are pretty irrelevant to my enjoyment because of how I play. I make and plan lists to give good exciting games with my regular opponents rather than to play the meta game for example.
The price rise is disappointing, especially with GW making record profits. A more modest, gradual price rise would have been better for everyone.
I've been spending the last month slowly painting up a unit of five Blightkings and I am getting heaps of enjoyment painting these fantastic models. I am loving the hobby right now.- 1

Dominion by Darius Hinks may be my favourite. Also could be The Silver Shard or Cities of Secrets by Nick Horth. I'm reading CL Werner at the moment which I am enjoying too.

This new Yhetee looks a bit too generic fantasy for me - although this is just fine for Blood Bowl. I hope any new Yhetee for Age of Sigmar keeps the lanky-fast look. (As an aside, I rebased my old unit of Yhetees last month. Reminded me how much charm they have!).

I have started with foam in boxes as well for storage (mostly buying from KR multicase) but it takes a lot of space. So I switched to using study cardboard boxes (kind of shoebox size and height appropriate to the minis I need to store) with metal sheets or tape at the bottom to hold the magnetised bases of my miniatures.
That's pretty much my journey with storage. I have found this the way works best for me.

For me it's the new Nighthaunt with crossbows, they are sensational.

There is a risk that only people who feel this is an issue are going to post here. So... I LOVE the turn mechanic as it stands. Games can play out really differently depending on the priority roll and I think that's great! Also, I know alternating activation is really popular at the moment but I hope the game stays as is in this regard. I love that sweet down time to socialise and chill.

I'm not going to clog the thread with my bitter tears, but I will say one last thing...
Take heart that the Idoneth have an exisiting range of absolutely glorious models. (I have a Tidecaster coming up soon in my paint queue and I can’t wait!)

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and have a great new year! 🙂

I have been painting Shadows over Hammerhal on and off again this year and I nearly passed on Cursed City the first time it came out. I didn’t want to spend big cash on the expansions at the time. With my wallet somewhat replenished I won’t feel so bad collecting them, even if it is a long time until it is all painted up and being played.

I am planing on cutting out all the Allegiance Abilities to make introducing players to 3rd Edition simpler. Will keep all the new monster and command abilities though.

Games Workshop have said the release schedule for the Dominion tie in releases was delayed, had those releases arrived on time I think their would have been more interest. I recall them saying in a Warhammer Community article that they produced ALOT of Dominion. Agree, with your comment @Bosskelot, Kragnos comes across as a bit meh. Perhaps if I saw the actual model I might like it more. For some reason, photographs don’t seem to convey his huge scale. He looks like a regular Centigor on the box cover.

Yes, most of the endless spells are pretty awful looking. There are some really good ones though - the original set of spells are pretty great and I do really like the Beastmen's Direflock one too.

I've have really enjoyed the reveals so far. I never have high expectations about them so I they don't ever really disappoint me. It's got me in the mood for more painting! I liked everything, particularly:
- New Skaven character (gorgeous model!)
- The new Daemon Prince images - I now think it will be really cool.
- The Cities of Sigmar announcement. As a Freeguild player, this gives me a bit of time to finish my army before the next wave and if it takes it's queues off the wonderful Cursed City and Ven Denst characters then the army is in good hands.
- The awesomely awesome Ogroid models
Looking forward to the upcoming Underworlds and Warcry announcements.
