    My full 15 protectors are now finished and based (barring cleaning up the rims) these mark the last of my prepped Stormcast being painted until I can replace my compressor to start on the next load!

    Cheers, if you trim down the back of the neckguard you can situate the helmet fine. I tend to remove the neck piece of the helmet itself so that I can replace it with grenstuff as the ball of the head for marines is marginally larger than the stormcast sockets.

    Finally sat down to start basing all of my Stormcast, slow effort and I need to tidy literally every bases edges but more colour on them!

    First ten of my fifteen Protectors finished barring basing for my growing Anvils host. Slow progress but I'm burning through my backlog slowly and happy with how they're shaping up.

    I'd say thats part of a terrain piece, relatively few details, large flat ieces with little definition. To my eye that isnt part of a figure but a larger terrain feature.

    Cheers guys, having dug through my vault of photos here's the key heroes from my last Stormcast army! If anyone has ideas for as yet unmade hero roles in a Stormcast army or unit types let me know and I'll get building!

    I sold all my old Stormcast so I just have historic pictures of the old heroes sadly. Always a depressing moment looking back at a 3k army sold that I'm essentially building again

    Four of my fifteen Protectors are underway, slowly progress but I'm happy with the work!

    That would mostly be down to batch building at 3 am In all 5 of my 10 ended up on the wrong bases, which will be corrected once I do armywide basing so they just got left as they are for now as when painting it didnt cause huge impact.

    The base comes with Lorgar, the joy of forgeworld primarchs is the sheer amount resin display base that comes with it, he lifts out onto a 40mm gaming base that is just the round bit under him

    The Lord is mostly Lorgar, he's the most slight of the primarch models so seemed like the best fit though I fully intend to use Corax to make a Celestant prime at some stage. And I'm not sold on my basing scheme for the Raptors currently, it'll either be that or a dead earth and bones style base to go better with the Anvils background

    I've been working on my Stormcast host on and off now for nearly a year, with the majority of what I'd call "bulk" units completed or in the final stages of painting (5 more vanguard hunters are finished but not pictured, I have 15 protectors and 5 decimators along with two Concussor conversions to paint) which frees me up to do the most enjoyable part of the army. Characterful Conversions! I've just about finished the modelling on my Lord Commander for the host (Unique model, first of the host, general) who is in dire need of a name so suggestions are more than welcome. But most of all I'd love suggestions of characters, artillery pieces or monsters that people would like to see converted up that fit the theme of stormcast so that I can add them to the host! C&C Welcome as always!
