  1. Oh my, I seriously hate Fyreslayers. I hate them like Nagash hates the spring. I hate them like Duncan Roades hate thick paint! I hate them like Lummineth Realm Lords hate tiny doorways! Thats how much I dislike the annoying little circus freaks! Anyway this is probably due to the fact that they have beaten me so many times that I have started to sound like a villian from the Inspector Gadget or a Scooby Doo cartoon, leaving the battlefield in tears crying stuff like: “Next time Slayers... Next Time...”. or “I would’ve got away with it if it wasn’t for you pesky Hearthguard weirdoes”. So please help me out my spooky fellows. Heres the thing. My local Midget handler (aka Fyreslayer player), is actually a good guy and in my area the meta isn’t totally competitive. So usually I fight something like: 1 x Magmadroth 1 x Runelord (for unbinding) 2-3 foolish but similarlooking hatwearing heroes (to keep the HBG nearly immortal) 20 x HGB 20 x Vulkite Lately Iv’e got a bit dellusional and had tried to go hard at the HGB with a strong Emerald Host led by a Kos on steed. 🥵 Not gonna do that again. So this new list I made to try to avoid combat and tie up his HGB with spells and chainrasps while only hitting vulnerable units like Vulkite, single heroes and maybe the magmadroth scum! However I have tried something similar before but this has all fallen apart whenever we roll a battleplan in which his HGB can easily reach important objectives. Like it happend in our last game of relocation orb. The wannabe vikings simply just hunkered down on the orb and I was forced to go at them with slim to no chance for most of the game, since the orb kept hanging out close to his HGB. So yeah any advise when building a list against the stuff mentioned above, are much welcome.
  2. I dread that if they increase Morteks or Stalkers Nagash lists will be send to the ropes.
  3. Don’t really know but it has Olynder on the cover and hence the title I assume that they will finally put a bit more personallity into her. There have been made a ton of novels about Manfred Arkhan & Nefereta I just think/hope that Olynder turns out to be interesting like them. Love the model and the background lore hope to read more.
  4. So far I like the new take on Realm rules a lot. Sure gonna be interessting to see what Ghur is gonna be all about?! Probably less bannanas than the current version. Also very eager to see if alligeance abilities will take up any space of the book and in what form.
  5. Wuhuu the Novel, Lady of Sorrows will be on preorder next week. This is the book I have been waiting for since the beginning of Soulwars. This is just plain awesomeness😆
  6. How does the Bonereapers stop Fyreslayers? I will soon be having my first reapers vs Slayers game against one of my friends and I find it hard to figure out how OBR stop the usual bunch of 20+ Hearthguard Psychoes, plus a Magma droth and whatsnot. - We are (sort of) slow, so forget outmanuvering the harrylittle monsters. - Don’t have any effective chaff against the barrage of mortal wounds thats bound to hit from their funny looking hammers. - Have way too little shooting to take down the 3-4 heroes needed to soften up the bearded toddlers. My army so far is build around Nagash, because im a huge fan boy.
  7. Oh but it is. It’s called Captain Hook’s Syndrome🥁
  8. Im litterally this close to getting a Combat Gauge tattoed on my hand. I keep misplacing and forgetting where I put it!
  9. Hi all New to OBR here, so I have a quick question. Dread Falchions for your Stalkers? 1. yes. 2. No. 3. It depends on the situation (please explain). thanks.
  10. Sure. I think the horse robes are even more Simple. Though Hexwraith might do the trick also, I suspect these were painted before the Hexwraith Flame were released so I think they did something like this: undercoat: Corax White then just glazing itup Building layers using green glaze thinned down with Lahmian medium.maybe they gave the robes a basecoat of White (maybe even White scar). finallalize it with some edge highlights using White Scar.
  11. Feel you. In no way do they match the Nighthaunt design. Really did a lot of work on my own bunch when I did the Emerald Host.
  12. If your aiming to match the book image. I think you need to throw in some green glaze for the flames and kabalite green, and Coelia Greenshade for the robe. You also need some White Scar to make the ghostly part more glowy in its brightest highlights. My guess for the robe would be something like: base: incubi darkness highlight: Kabalite green Highlight: Gauseblaster green Glaze: Coelia Greenshade. then maybe redo highlights.
  13. Wait what now? Care to explain. I don’t know a thing about 40K.
  14. Sure thing. Quite easy did the table last summer in a few effective days work. undercoat: molotow spray think it was called deep sea blue or something like that. I went for a tone as close to stegadon scale green as I could get. earth soil dry brush1: Russ grey dry2: fenrisian grey dry 3: blue Horror Green non rift parts was done after the blue/grey stuff. first i hit up all areas with another Molotow green tone (don’t remember its name though). then it was drybrushing time again. dry1: kabalite green dry2: sybarite green dry3: Gauseblaster Green. The rifts was done similarly, except that I wetblended ulthuan Grey into the Gauseblaster to make the ghostly bright green glow. metal: Seriously watered down Warplock Bronze. Then drybrushed with a wee bit of baltazars gold and Stormhost Silver. thats more or less it.
  15. They look really cool. Does all of your ghosts look like this? Share some pics🙂
  16. Nope, during the first couple of weeks of lockdown I finished my remaining ghosts. So now my army has reached the 4000pts and until we get some new rules add ons or something it makes no more sense to buy more Nighthaunts. So currently Im dooing my Frostbitten Blightking Warband for Warcry and then I will go back to doing more scenery for my Shyish table. Have about 5-6 pieces for the table and in my mind I dream about being able to play on different Shyish settings.
  17. Cool idea you got going here. IMHO the horns are fine for the leader. But if all of them had them it would be too much. Please keep us updated on this project.
  18. Really hope that they preview even just a vague glimps of the future of Warcry as we do not know anything about what will happen to it. Sure Scions are coming out and they look great but we all knew they were coming at some point. But where will Warcry be going? Deeper narratives? Expanded main rules? New realms? Or simply just more warbands and a new ToC? or have they started the process of putting the game on the dusty shelves in the back of the store next to WHQ? Spill the beans Ben Johnson🙂
  19. Indeed.. Wonder if we will get a Wrath of the Everchosen kinda upgrade, when or if they do provide a new tome, though the last one probably won’t happend anytime soon. Love the Glaivewraith model, would be awesome if they made just a wee bit sense to paint up and play with.
  20. Actually our local WH store confirmed that just a few days ago.
  21. So Im almost done painting my kitbashed Mourngul and the Deathcastish ghost is supposed to look like a dark parody of a Celestant Prime or some other über stormcast in a Nagashfriendly version. However it caries a large sign on its breastplate thats supposed to show som Sigmar mocking symbol. But what?? Any inspiration will be much appreciated.
  22. So rumour inspectors. What’s next? Sereaphon being up for preorder kinda wraps up AOS for now I guess. Next thing will be Teclis’ Aelven boys n girls and at some point we probably should hear something official on SOB. But is that anytime soon? Or are we in for a couple of months without news for AOS? What’s your thoughts?
  23. Just added Emarald Host, in case anyones still following😉
