    Eel riders, jetbikes, gryphon riders, mournfang cavalry et al are all just cavalry with different mounts. I don’t get why the eels and sharks are suddenly not original because they also have a flying base? How many cavalry models do we have riding some kind of 4 legged beast of burden? Lazy

    I don’t know how Alarielles giant beetle is more original than the giant turtle. They’re both just big versions of existing animals.

    I’d love to be a miniatures designer. Sadly I don’t have much experience with CAD software (past 2d engineering drawings or simple 3D stuff), and if I’m honest with myself I’m possibly not creative enough. But it would be really cool.

    It’s a different approach. All the AoS battletomes this year have been proper releases with new models. The vast majority of the 40k codexes are just codexes - to get them all out quickly for 8th. It’s quicker to write a codex than create a model line, hence why there’s so many codexes coming out so quickly.

    We have had some Idoneth teasers, and maybe we were meant to get one at the open day that was postponed.

    Yeah most people seem to play faction armies, not alliance armies, from what I’ve seen. And with the campaign not being tied to alliances, I’m not sure it matters either. Either you like the selves or you don’t, doesn’t matter if you play order armies or not.
