Hi TGA.
Back in feb i gave a shout out for help to this amazing community which ultimately resulted in me being told the many varied and wonderful ways that you would all like to support the site.
The gist of this is that the site is getting very expensive to run (I’ve paid out over £3000 in the last 12 months) and as the community grows the costs are ever increasing.
I previously wrote about this in detail so I won’t go into it all again, but the response was just amazing!
Its taken me another 6+ months to get around to it, but over the next few weeks I will be introducing a 3 ways that will help cover the running costs of TGA.
I’ll talk here about how we will be doing this, and why I have chosen each of them.
- Advertising.
After thinking about this long and hard, I have decided that I WILL be including display ads on the site. I was initially very much against doing this as the last thing I want is for the site to look like many other places online where you get bombarded with Ads.
However, if done right I think it can work very well.
I will be finding advertisers that are relevant to our community and working with them to help their business, which in-turn will better the community. It will also be a way for to support the site without forcing anyone to pay.
The amount of ads will be tiered. Guests will get lots, Registered members less. There will also be an option to ‘turn ads off’ by joining one of the premium membership groups, which leads me nicely onto the next bit…
- Premium Membership.
Available right away is just a single membership group. I hope to expand this in future to offer higher and lower options for those that would like to give more and receive move value in return, and also for those who would like to support the site but are limited in what they can afford (or are willing) to pay. That is a further cost to get implemented so fo now we have a single membership group.

We are having a Saturday night party.

The Saturday Night at Blood and Glory is going to be amazing. We have some fantastic things planned for the event and hope everyone hangs out at the venue.
We will be closing the main gaming hall and have taken over the Engine Shed restaurant inside the Blood and Glory venue and will be having an after gaming party.
There is still gaming space available for those of you taking part in the Ironman event, Side Events and anyone wanting open gaming or to just hang out at chat at the gaming tables.
Food and drinks will be served all evening and you will have a chance to relax away from the main gaming hall while still staying on site and hanging out with fellow gamers and exchanging war stories.
Bar Menu
This year we have managed to get some fantastic bar prices and have a wide selection of food and drink. Our prices are cheaper than any of the local hotels and venues.
You can pre-book your evening meal and get over 15% saving at just £5.50 a meal.
Some highlights of the evening will be:
Warhammer Champions.
Play Fusion will be onsite Demoing the Warhammer Champions app and card games. take part in mini-tournaments, win exclusive game mats and have a chance to purchase event exclusive products.
The Element Games Charity Raffle
On Saturday evening at Blood and Glory we will be holding The Element Games charity raffle.Every person sticking around for the evening will get 1 free raffle ticket but we will also have the opportunity to purchase more tickets. Everything raised by the raffle will be donated to a local Children’s charity, Cartoon Heroes. Jess from Cartoon Heres will be at the event selling tickets and drawing the raffle. Already in the prize pot are copies of Titanucus, Kill Team, Night Vault, and lots more to be added in the run up to the event.
Many thanks to Element Games who have supported us by providing the prizes for the charity raffle.
Open Gaming
The smaller of our two gaming halls will remain open for the evening for out Saturday night events and open gaming. Take part in one of our fast and fun tournaments and chat to the Ironmen as they have their final attempt at getting points on the board!
Terrain Building Q+A
There will be a demo table of the terrain we have built for the event. Ben, Steve and Andy will be on hand to answer questions and give pointers on how we were able to build over 1000 bits of terrain across 3 games systems for Blood and Glory this year.

Its awesome the that the 3 main combat units in the faction are all a viable, and tough to call, addition to the lists.
I guess, there are lots of other options too, but the fact that these 3 are so close is great

I've played a fair bit with the Thrall Warhost. Its an excellent list that people really don't expect the combat power from. The dragon Sorceress is very resilient and tarpit even the best combat unit with the right spells and artefacts.
Running Black Guard and Executioners is a very good distraction as the triple threat with the dragon is often too much for an opponent to decide between which to try and take on.

The Blood and Glory Age of Sigmar rules pack is here.
This pack is 100% set in stone, there will however be an ADDITION to the pack to regarding TIEBREAKERS as a 200 player event with 5 rounds will result in a high number of players being on the same points totals for each bracket.
We are working on a secondary objective system that will be in play in each of the games in the AoS Championships.
These secondary objectives are still to be confirmed. This will not change the result of a game, the battle plan will still decide that, but they will be the difference in who will win the event when 2 players are on equal battlepoints.
I want to post these by the 1st October but we 'might' leave it until registration to ensure they are properly tested.

I've played around 30 games with a unit of 10. Love them. They do everything.

I get Marked for Death for Reroll HITS
Shar'tor Command makes all Bulls Reroll failed charge rolls and re-roll Hooves hit rolls of 1.
Taur'ruk gives +1 to hit rolls for the bulls.
Battle Standard gives reroll 1's to wound and moves 8"
It feels a bit like there is too much going on with buffing to hit rolls, and not enough
I also need to choose a 2nd artefact.
