  1. We’ve got what is quite possibly the biggest and best Studio Preview ever planned for AdeptiCon – and last year, we announced the new edition of Warhammer 40,000! To make sure you don’t miss out, we’ll be wrapping up the Studio Preview on Facebook Live on Wednesday at 9:00 pm (US Central Time). Make sure to like the Warhammer TV Facebook page to check it out. I don't think it is possible to be any more hyped for a GW event. 11 hours 35 minutes to go!
  2. Nope. Just hopes and dreams. Realistic possibilities are imperial Knights, adeptus Titanicus, orks or Slaanesh. For AoS Deepkin are pretty much guaranteed with a possibility of new starter set or a new death faction. There is a very small chance we will hear about warhammer underworlds season two. GW said at lvo that there would be three new things at Adepticon. The question is whether Deepkin was part of the three or was added due to the cancellation of the aos open day. Either way I will be happy to finally see the new Deepkin. Anything else is a bonus.
  3. Just 24 hours till the adepticon seminar starts. Hoping for a full Idoneth reveal, a hint at the new starter and Eldar exodites for 40k.
  4. I wonder if we will get another teaser before the reveal. The daughters of Khaine got two animated teasers before their big reveal at LVO. Another little drip of info at the weekend would keep the hype boat afloat until the reveal next week.
  5. I like both sets partly because they are not too unique. With both stormcast and khorne you can buy the two warbands, add a hero each and you have two pretty decent skirmsih warbands.
  6. Interesting. Is this online? What is the bloodbowl team?
  7. The exhibitor area opens in an hour. After some earlier optimism I am starting to suspect we won't hear anything.
  8. I still think we will see some stuff from Gama. Cancelling was open day unfortunate but promising reveals at Gama then showing nothing would be pretty bad form.
  9. Gw explicitly said there would be reveals at gama. I took this pic from the event guide pdf. This does not look like a situation to make reveals. The exhibitor booths will be open tomorrow and Thursday afternoon. It seems likely that this will be the way the new reveals will be shown. The recent reveals of Forgebane and space marine adventures first game from products being shown in event booths.
  10. From tga to the Internet to tga. It was first posted right here in the Idoneth Deepkin thread.
  11. In the recent white dwarf there was a letter with someone asking about a stand-alone Inquistion game and gw answered with REDACTED! So whatever they were hinting at will likely be at one of these events. There is also Adeptus titanicus which was delayed into this year, new bloodbowl teams, shadespire and Necromunda gangs, the rest of the imperial knights, the new orks etc. There is an awful lot of non AOS stuff they could be showing. Having said that Gw presumably intending to show something at the AOS open day. That content will be added to whatever they already had planned for AOS at these two events so it is possible we will see a lot of stuff in the next couple of weeks.
  12. Just realised that we are at an interesting point for AoS. As of today every model that has been previewed for AoS or Shadespire has been released. This is the first time that releases have caught up with previews since at least March last year when Ko and Shadespire was unveiled. The future of Aos minis is currently a complete mystery. We know Deepkin are coming but noone can agree on what the aesthetic will be. We don't even know what the next bloodbowl team will look like. This makes me quite convinced that we will see some news from Gama next Tuesday if not over the weekend.
  13. I wouldn't read too much into this. Releases does not necessarily mean new minis. Last year they had tzeentch in January, Stormcast in February, Khorne in March, Ko in April and may, skirmish in June, path to glory in July, ghb 2 and blight war in August, firestorm in September, and I forget the rest. I think six or seven waves of minis this year is likely plus additional stuff like ghb2019, start collecting, battleforces etc.
  14. 1 is not Ko. GW themselves updated a lot of the old pictures when their models came out. Also several people have checked every kit. It is definitely a 40k. Another rule they have is never doing a rumour engine of something that has already been previewed and the Skaven got shown well before 20. In terms of what we know the list on page 400 is pretty definitive. Incidentally. I was looking back at the news years open day which had exactly the same format as this weekend's event (no seminars). At that event the custodes range, legions of Nagash and Codex thousand sons were all announced. So I am hopeful that we will see a few more of these images solved on Saturday.
  15. I’m not 100% sure but Number 7 looks a lot like the weapons on the khinerai. They are called barbed sickles after all.
  16. I am pretty sure we will see them in April, probably with a preview at the open day next week. Exciting times!
  17. Personally I would rather avoid banner ads, but a subscription for a pound or two a month is something I would happily pay. This site has done a great job of growing the community in a positive way and has largely avoided the toxicity that many other forums suffer from. Thank you.
  18. Skarbrands total carnage will work against her. I am sure there will be other warscrolls in the future that will work in this way.
  19. Only Morathi will be up this weekend. The other units will come in the following weeks.
  20. Disagree with @BURF1. Order are empire builders pure and simple. This is not the same as good. They believe in the development and progress of their ideals. These ideals vary widely from faction to faction. Destruction believe in tearing down, not building. Death wants an end to progress. Chaos believes in the abolition of structure, in unfettered emotion. Look at the roman empire. They believed simultaneously in art, architecture and Blood sports. Their armies are famously ruthless. 'the made a desert and called it peace ' The stormcast are the roman legions. The fyreslayers are mercenaries they employ. The Daughters of Khaine could be compared to the gladiators. The dispossessed are the architects and builders. The Ko are the traders. By taking these concepts into high fantasy and pushing them to 11 we have the aos grand alliance order.
  21. Very happy that my guesses about the release date were correct. Gw really seems to give us a drought or a flood when it comes to AOS releases. Morathi is fantastic and the whole daughters of Khaine release is shaping up very well. Just one or two more heroes would really give us a pretty compelling army. The cauldron of blood kit has become even better value, giving you the war machine a hero and a monster whichever build you choose. That said with an ironclad to finish and 3 Shadespire warbands still to paint I will probably wait to see the sea Aelves before deciding which army to build. Hopefully the AOS open day, which is less than 2 weeks away, will give us another peek.
  22. This is a quote from tomouloun from 4 months ago. Given how accurate that has turned out to be, I absolutely believe that this rumour is true. Very very excited for this release. Also isn't it crazy that in mid February we are already getting our fourth battletome of the year teased.
  23. Indeed. From out of blackness they come... suggests a new faction. We have the year old rumour of deepone Aelves from Hastings. We have the November rumour of two Aelf factions. We have gw saying at LVO that more Aelves are coming and we have the same person who accurately predicted Morathi in two forms saying we would get Aelves on seahorses. This all points quite strongly towards this being the next Aelf faction. We also have this rumour engine pic which seems to fit.
  24. Looking forward to seeing the seahorses. Honestly this is my most anticipated faction. The Daughters of Khaine look fantastic but they are an extension of the existing witch elves and Medusa. This look like it will be something completely new in the vein of the kharadron Overlords; my favourite faction so far.
  25. So we have start collecting and Neave this weekend. Next weekend is the first week not covered and will have the white dwarf preorder. The info about upcoming preorders is shared on the community site the Sunday before these days. So the big question is whether this is the week for Daughters of Khaine or something else. I'm going for Daughters of Khaine preorder and white dwarf cover. Perhaps they will hold back Morathi herself for the following week.
