Whitefang already gave a confused reaction to the idea of a renamed unit. A version of vindictors with different weapons sounds much more likely.

Well my new hobby is checking Whitefang's likes. When someone suggested new ranged unit or renamed hunters they got all confused, but someone else suggested new agressive melee unit, their heart was full of joy so I'm going to go with that.

I'm hoping it's a warclans subfaction full of Kragnos's followers.

Anyone else notice that Kragnos gained some new keywords? That second one is particularly interesting. Edit it's not very be clear in the pic but it's Drogrukh. He's also a totem now.

Surely you do a register of interest if your financials are tight. It does suggest that the new box isn't doing great, but they sold out in a matter of hours at the new price so perhaps they overreacted.

I really think that part of the reason why the hype for this box isn’t as high as expected is because we haven’t seen the rest of the models yet. I’m waiting to see what a full Kruleboyz army looks like. I’m sure there are plenty of people like me who want to see whether the two armies have a cool centrepiece model. I’m sure the leak of the Necron monolith and Void Dragon made people more interested in the Indomitus box not less.

The Stormcast and Nighthaunt battletomes came out the week after second edition but they'd already shown off most of the new ranges at warhammerfest in May. Even the black coach was there. They only things they held off on were Lady Olynder and the Tauralon. The fact that we have heard hardly anything about the new ranges makes me think they aren't coming that soon. Every day I check the community site for something new and maybe today will be the day.

After Indomitus launched gw had a week of just Titanicus, a week of just black library, starter boxes, then a week of Necromunda and a week of Underworlds. They could easily have condensed some of those if they wanted to get the codexes out earlier. The ETB kits are deliberately designed to be stopgaps until the main release and I would be very surprised if we see the battletomes before the starters and the new scenery. I'd love to be wrong but I expect we'll see some new models in a launch day preview, but I think it will be a minimum of 4 weeks after launch until we see the new battletomes go on pre-order.

So far the rollout for AoS3 has echoed 40k very closely. The box preview for both games even ended with two ETB kits for each faction. I think we'll see those kits and the starter sets before we see the new battletomes. On the 40k side it was more than two months between the Indomitus and codex pre-orders. Gw have said the Ork box will go on pre-order in July and we still have the second half of the sisters release to go. My guess is we will see those and maybe Aeronautica in July. The starters will come in August and we will see the battletomes at the end of August or the beginning of September after more 40k Ork minis.

I'm very happy to see Nurgle are on the way. Finally my wallet will have a rest.

My apologies. I will be absolutely delighted if they can come up with a compelling offering on Wednesday. Gamepass and Audible are both great services which I'm happy to subscribe to. I hope GW can come up with something similar. With their wide range of digital media in the form of novels, audiobooks, battletomes and Codexes, they could do something very interesting.

Fair enough. I buy about 6 books a year and I prefer digital so that would make it worth it for me. One the other hand if they introduce a 40k style app for AoS and drop digital battletomes, there's no price I would pay.

If it was £10 a month and I got access to full digital versions of every battletome and codex, I would subscribe.

Maybe, but if I was going to make a blind guess at the third AoS3 battletome it would be Maggotkin. It is the oldest battletome.

The ICv2 data is particularly accurate when it comes to gw. It doesn't include gw stores or gw's online store which account for a big chunk of gw sales. It does show the relative popularity of AoS and 40k in North America though.

No sign whatsoever. GW has been mysteriously silent on this front. They haven't mentioned the app once. My worry is that it might tie in to the the Warhammer+ announcement on June 23rd.

I got all the way to check out with no trouble but then decided not to order. I will wait to see if I can get the core book digitally. I still haven't finished reading the second edition book simply because its a big heavy book that I can't easily take to work with me. Even though the minis will be more expensive I will be able to get them later and not buying now I can wait to see how both full armies turn out. I really hope we get a new preview soon. I want to see giant crocodiles and dragons, not to mention potential new cities stuff.

I just checked now. I was in a 1 minute queue. On the New Zealand site it hasn't sold out yet after 30 minutes. Maybe it won't be that bad.

This is very interesting. Courtesy of the BoC WhatsApp group via twitter. Sons of Behemat definitely seem to be the big winners. Most of the top armies got hit pretty hard. KO escaped but the triumphs change is a pretty big nerf for them. Alongside Slaanesh, Khorne, Sylvaneth and Beasts of Chaos stand out as getting bigger increases than they needed.

Honestly I don't expect Hedonites to get any real attention until the next ghb. A year or so to fix a problem is fairly typical for them. I'd love be to be proven wrong though.

What are you talking about? Teclis went up 80 points. Wardens went up a lot. The fox went up a lot. The wind chargers went up a lot. Lumineth were pretty much the only faction (except Slaanesh) to see increases across the board on an army that was already pretty elite.
