  1. I see... so at least we'll be spared at least one unit of 40 of them. That is certainly something. :-) What are your thoughts regarding Changehost. I'm seeing a resurgence of this list (which I hate with a passion) and I'm trying to think of ways to face them in a tournament..
  2. You hit the right spot with the remark on Namarto bases. If they were on 25mm bases they would have worked fine, but as it stands they can only be used in units of 10 and even then they can't perfrom all that well. Regarding Reavers I think they need to be even more cheap to make them count. At 110 pts I would see them be good cost efficient unit. And thei range is also problematic. If it was 10/20 instead of 9/18 you could see them used with Sourscryers to flank shoot and charge which would be great since they are scouts afterall..
  3. I'm afraid that the points raise on the monks is not enough and with the nerf to their powerful magic/4 Verminlords lists we may see more Skaventide players opt to play the safer "Sea of Plague Monks" lists...
  4. The repeater is still legal. For another year at least..
  5. What I find weird myself is the lack from a response from GW on the battletome... There are people who have it and have bought it so I thought we would get at least a response...
  6. The difference between a Lord Celestant on Stardrake and a Drakesworn Templar is 100pts not 160pts
  7. Or 2 inches range with their (long two handed) melee weapons at least...
  8. My two cents are that the way most battle plans work now if you want to go competitive you need bodies to capture objectives. Therefore I think that you must begin the list with at least two 10man units of Eternal Guard. You'll need them for objectives and you'll need them for screen. Your list is good but will lose many games due to very low body count.
  9. Thralls only needed 25mm bases. Without any other change they would be golden and very much viable as a unit to build an army around in my opinion.
  10. I believe this will be a campaign, like the 40k one we had in the summer...
  11. I fear that we'll end up with auto-include city abilities with no real drawback. And I doubt these rules have been thoroughly playtested...
  12. I believe that there are more chances to get AoS releases as there is planty of space between the codexes and have in mind that most of them will get few to no new released models at all...
  13. This. In 40k with the ammount of firepower and the range of the weapons it is much more crucial to land the first turn initiative. In the past (and to an extent even now) games could be decided just by who got to play first and it wasn't nice...
  14. I feel a bit down because the way I see the releases it feels to me that with the exception of the General's Handbook MKII the August will be 40k dominated. On top of that if they plan to release Death Guard soon (which seems logical) September may also be dedicated to 40k... ... This leaves the rumoured new Aelves in the back as it was said that they were coming this summer. I know this is a rant but I want my new damned elves!! With the exception of the two characters from Silver Tower we haven't got a new elven model since before the freaking End Times... Again sorry for the rant but I had to let off some steam...
  15. I wonder if they will incorporate some of the existing "Dark Elf" models in the new range... for example I recently bought 30 Witch Aelves and a Cauldron of Blood. It seems to me that they have great agile and wild poses and look much better in the round bases than the old square ones. I also compared them with the two Silver Tower aelven heroes and thei design shared similarities with both the Tenebrae Shard and the Mistweaver Saih. On top of that they have the exact same scale size-wise. They are really excellent models and I believe they would fit perfectly with a new release wave of Shadowkin...
  16. Sooooo.... the new stunties are out.... Do we have any idea what's next down the line?
  17. Fyreslayers are mainly close combat oriented. Have also in mind that there may be an inclusion of some dispossed units in the battletome...
  18. Well we still have another week with releases for Stormcast Eternals and after that a new Triumvirate? So we may be looking at mid March for other new stuff...
  19. In my opinion he is already expensive at 200pts for a one-trick pony character, if he was even more expensive I wouldn't be able to justify his inclusion...
  20. After seeing the Knight Azyros warscroll and the fact he is cheaper, my gut tells me that the Vexillor will most likely have kept only the meteor banner as an option...
  21. Yep. He has done a great job with these conversions. I almost wanted to buy the General on Griffon and make such a conversion myself.
  22. I think that their usefulness will depend a lot on their points and whether they will be battleline. Other than that they seem to be good at taking care of warmachines, shooting units and weak characters such as wizards.
  23. I have seen the repackaged unit of Judicators, but I see no options for the long range crossbows we've seen in some of the leaked pictures. I was of the impression that in that image we were seeing new Judicator options. Could it be I was wrong and there will be a whole new unit of these long crossbow-wielding stormcasts?? If so I may want to hold on pre-ordering the 10 Judicator box...
  24. The box-set that has 10 of the Vanguard Hunters costs 50 euros. If the same trend continues with the repackaging of Liberators and Judicators it will be a great deal as if I recall correctly at the moment 5 Liberators/judicators cost 30 euros or something...
