  1. His armour is almost identical and that's the main problem. The concept of foot hero for Ardboyz is good. Lore-wise, this guy can be almost-Brute with regard to his stature - but some visual distinction would be appreciated.
  2. With regard to Bonesplitterz this would probably mean dealing with anger of around dozen of people in the world.
  3. As the Ironjawz are clearly the sayians of the Mortal Realms, I really hope for the “full power” aesthetic for the Weirdbrutes…
  4. Fine, this sounds reasonable - but why would I need any Krule units for my IJ PtG?
  5. I am an Ironjawz player and I never even bothered to read the Krule part of the tome I own. You have four different armies in the book and GW is clearly aware of this. The question is - which direction will GW choose now. They can push the unification and a mixed Vanguard would support this approach. My guess would be that the idea is to strengthen the IJ and Krule part, give them separate Vanguard boxes but keep the single tome. And, sadly, eventually cut the Bonesplitterz.
  6. Still WIP, but I want to praise GW for their design of Seraphon. You can get really far with a relatively big brush and just contrasts, washes and drybrushing - and I love that.
  7. I do not know (or care, to be honest) much about CoS, but I try to spread such articles - mainly out of belief the form itself has a lot of value and is innately superior to any YouTube clips, podcasts etc. There is nothing like writing. Having said that - you can argue that Blissbarb spam is not the intended way of playing HoS and neither is Kroak/Slann/Incarnate a proper way of Seraphon. Yet here we are…
  8. Have you already seen this? Looks like an in-depth analysis. Cities of Sigmar: Top Three Power Combos – Plastic Craic
  9. I’ve played two PtG games today (600 pts) and devastated my friends twice. In such small games the Starborne Slann domination wraps the game around him. If you can kill the Slann fast, you win - if not, the MW output and the summoning kills you. Also, the Salamander (aka Spawn) is surprisingly good in melee. I think I will have to switch to Coalesced to keep the PtG fun for everyone 🤔
  10. Cosmic Skinks freshly delivered from the Temple-Ship.
  11. With such perspective I would stick to the new AoS ranges only. At first sight of Malerion Druchii are doomed to share the fate of their noble cousins. We may only hope that GW spares them weird helmets and cow- demons that skipped leg days.
  12. For August I plan to finish a unit of 10 Skinks, then paint 5 Saurus Warriors and the Realmshaper Engine. Luckily, all of this stuff is already assembled & primed and I've already made some good progress with the Skinks.
  13. Very nice box. With Carnosaur being dual-build its easy to buy two.
  14. Full Salamander squad. I’ve also done two test regular Skinks.
  15. A myriad of ways to break the game. You are asking for a balance nightmare.
  16. Salamander’s handlers, painted by the seaside.
  17. How is that better? That basically said that magic is integral to the game so they decided to remove the magic phase in order to “liberate” spellcasting. This is corporate nonsense level. Magic is supposed to be different on mechanical level - otherwise you end with fireball treated as another shooting attack profile, which makes it bland.
  18. I used “shelves” more metaphorically 😄 Anyway, can you imagine the reaction of someone interested in TOW being told that they should move to this other side of the shop and pick AoS kits (but only some of them, the ones that are cross compatible) and a handful of square bases? GW can use new models, sure - but they should, at the very least, use different boxes (maybe with different numbers of models, but I suppose that would be very difficult). What I find ridiculous is the idea of publishing a miniature tabletop game with its own (strong) brand and then telling people to buy minis for a different game. And I think they went with squares and started with Bretonnia and Tomb Kings to avoid this particular issue- at least for now.
  19. I disagree. If TOW is to succeed alongside AoS, both games need their separate shelves with separate kits. This is in consumers’ best interest - in the long run. Otherwise, TOW will at best become this side game you can play with AoS models, but must use square bases.
  20. On the contrary. They will take old models and sell them at premium price. "Ridiculous" is a good word to describe the strategy of selling one kit for two games when you can easily sell two. My approach would be to put a separate, glorified TOW shelf in every GW shop with old models only and explain every customer that these are original, elite, old-school, hardcore kits for the true WHFB aficionados.
  21. I will go even further with this. If they really want to sell TOW (and not just protect the IP), then from a business perspective all interchangeability of models should be removed ASAP. All kits must be assigned to only one system and if that is not possible (Seraphon, Skaven, Beastmen) then such problematic factions should never become the focus of TOW. That is me in GW CEO shoes.
  22. I was looking at this from the other end. But still… the HE’s core models (infantry, cavalry) are almost 1:1 compatible with Lumineth. The once you listed - I see them more as ornaments.
  23. But you can easily proxy almost the entire Lumineth range with High Elves… what’s the problem?
  24. People are happy about models being removed as it opens up new opportunities. Contrary to some folks beliefs, GW's design, productions and logistics resources are limited and some rotation is inevitable.
  25. Good luck! I have the Lumineth big box somewhere in the basement, so... maybe, someday. But not the cowboys, never.
