  1. I think it would be cool if Foot Heroes would have a built in bodyguard rule if within 3 inches of a battleline unit and can shrug off wounds to that unit. Would give them more survivability and I think it would fit thematically to have them close to the troops. Another thing I dislike is that most Foot Heroes have about the same statline regardless of the race etc. Compare, for instance, a loonboss to a killaboss. 5w vs 6w 4+/6+ vs 3+ 5atk/3+/3+/-1/d3 vs 4atk/3+/3+/-1/2 Same point cost, 90. In my mind, the killaboss should be twice as strong as a loonboss, but now they're the same. And similar examples can be found everywhere.
  2. My 5 cents: Heroic Actions and Monstrous Rampage I feel that these just add unnecessary mental load without adding enough to the game. Essentially they're an additional hidden system for activated special abilites, and we already have command abilities for that. Grand Strategies and Battle Tactics I think Battle Tactics in particular gets way too much attention during a game of AoS. IMO, the game should be about holding objectives and preventing your opponent from holding objectives. Either make BT be worth less points or change so you can only complete 2 per game. Way too much time is spent on deciding on what BT to choose, and it makes the games suffer a lot, especially for new players. Grand Strategies are generally fine imo. Command abilities This system is generally fine to me. But I would remove Rally and change All Out Defence to -1 to hit for attacking unit. Core Battallions I think Battallions should be more about listbuilding and have less affect in game. I would like to see Battle Regiment removed, It's a boring default option and deploying an army should be an important tactical element of a game and a valuable skill test. I would prefer battallions to, for example, unlock battleline options or allow more monsters/heroes/artillery/reinforcements/enhancements. GHB Seasons Keep it as 1 year, but add/switch battleplans after ~6 months. I would also like to include some narrative section and have the GHB tell more of a story and push the storyline. I also think they generally add too many special rules in the GHB. Battletomes I think that the Battletome Battletactics shouldn't be allowed in Matched Play, keep them to narrative or something. For 4th ed I would like to see a few things * Actual good terrain rules * Less mortal wounds * Less save stacking Just these three things I think would improve the game a lot. And personally I would remove priority roll, but I can live with it remaining hehe. Edit: One more thing I think need revisiting is battleshock. It generally just produces feel bad-moments. Sorry if I come off as too negative here. I actually enjoy AoS and think it's a good game. But it has room for improvement!
  3. Rumour has it that it's new Mandrakes for 40K/Killteam. But I sure would love some new dark elves!
  4. I'm only about 1/3 through the book, but I think she's a quite boring and stale character. I understand that Stormcasts are supposed to be cold and emotionless, so maybe that's just uninteresting to me.

  7. Finished 10 warriors. Pretty pleased considering its a speedpaint job.
  8. I would also like a tOW-section, and tbh I wouldn’t mind a 40K-section either!
  9. My goal for this month is to paint 10 necron warriors and some jungle woods. Have already painted some scarabs and started on the woods.
  10. As a person who plays maybe 10 games per year, having one year seasons is much better. But, they could add a couple battleplans every six months to spice things up.

  12. I'm an old school dark elves player, and I think it will be very interesting to see what GW decide to do with them, both in AoS and in OW. Imo they are in an awkward position. In AoS ~80% of the old DE-roster is split between two factions. One of which is mixed with humans and dwarfs, which doesn't feel very "Dark Elfy". In tOW they are a PDF-faction that won't receive any support in the near future. I doubt they'll expand on the DE/Umbraneth any more under the CoS-banner. As I see it they have a couple different options: 1. They might move the DE-units over to DoK (With a faction namechange). Something I'd welcome. 2. They could add a new faction for Malerion, who's rumoured to be introduced in the future, and move the DE-units there. But I think it would be weird to have a new faction with old models, I think it's more likely that Malerion comes with his own breed of elves. 3. They could also create a new faction that includes DoK, old DE-models and Malerion. (And also future Malerion-elves). 4. Remove the old DE-units from AoS completely, which makes them fully available for tOW. In the same move they can add Malerion and new units and include it all in DoK (maybe with a namechange). I personally like option 4 the most, as I will be playing both AoS and tOW. But the other options sounds alright too. I just hope we got some hints or informations about what thay're planning to do. Because right now it feels like there's no way to play a true Dark Elves-army in either format, which really sucks IMO. I hope they reveal what's going on in Har Kuron soon, haven't heard anything about that city since Broken Realms AFAIK.
  13. Are there any plans on creating a sub-forum or sub-section for Old World-discussions here on TGA? I think it would be good, because having all TOW-related discussions in this thread could be problematic and making several threads in an AoS-section is problematic too.
  14. Didn’t officially set a goal for this month. But painted up some praetors. Really fun unit to paint! Pretty pleased with the colour scheme. Could see stormcast becoming a slow-growing army for me.
  15. Personally, I'm not sure I like the new webstore layout. I mostly browse it on my desktop, and everything just feels a bit clunky. Maybe it's better on the phone though.

  18. Finished up my shaman. Not 100% complete but good enough for now. Also did a test model for my Stormcast color scheme. Pretty pleased with how it looks, but the paint job could’ve been better. For character models I might push it a bit further.
  19. Fair point. Maybe they could've given them the Hobgrot-treatment? 1 BL for every Gutrippa-unit. Or maybe make them slightly less killy than Gutrippaz, the anti monster tech would've been enough to consider them. I do like the anti-treelord thing, as a regular gaming buddy of mine is starting Sylvaneth

In my opinion they sound pretty good against monsters, but that's about it Many attacks per model and 2 inch range which is good for venom I guess. If they were battleline I might've used them, but now I feel like I won't ever use them.
  21. Sometimes I get the feeling that people imagine that GW has infinite resources and decide not to make big expansions/updates for factions just to anger us 😄
  22. This month my goal is to paint one swampcalla shaman. That would complete my 2000pts kruleboyz army.
  23. Finished painting 20 Gutrippaz and 6 Boltboyz, and with them finished my goal for this month! Not my best painted minis, but for the time it took I really think it turned out alright! First time trying ”slapchop” and I must say it’s really effective. Made my own ”contrast paint” by mixing normal citadel paints and contrast medium, which worked better than expected!
  24. Update: 20 rippaz and 6 boltaz assembled, based, primed and bases painted. Now the fun begins, hopefully I can finish them before the month is over!
