  1. I'm surprised they weren't compensated more for losing Channeled Pink Fire. We got the Fate points it provided from the new Icon Bearer, but sad that they only hit on 5+ now. Forces us to use All-Out-Attack to get them to a 4+ to hit - and they're hitting on 6+ instead of 5+ if you Unleash Hell. Not that the pinks were ever much of a damage dealer anyways.

  3. It used to be 2 battleline for 1500, but in the new GHB it's bracketed differently. Anything below 1k points needs 2 battleline, anything above needs 3. They unfortunately don't give any other army sizes, such as 1500 or 2500.
  4. Gottcha - just making sure I hadn't missed something, thanks. With the Imperatant it's pretty much a guarantee on that initial charge.
  5. Does Gavriel's charge ability work for Annihilators (besides ensuring the charge on a roll of 4)? I thought you rolled dice equal to the unmodified charge roll from the Annihilators. Or does Gavriel's +3 not count as a modifier for some reason?

  7. Thanks for the tips! Amulet is a good shout, protects against MWs too. Any thoughts on Winterleaf vs. Gnarlroot? Also, at lower point levels, do you think Drycha might be better than the TLA? I realised his command ability won't hit as many units as at lower points, especially considering my Tree Revs will probably be porting out of range anyways.
  8. Quick question - does the new "9.2 Remaining Stationary" section in the Core Rules mean that units dropping down from Scions of the Storm don't count as remaining stationary? Or do they have to have been on board beforehand to 'remain stationary', and therefore did not move in the movement phase? Mainly curious because of units like the Vanguard Raptors and their Rapid Fire.
  9. Going to play a casual 2v2 game at 1250 points per player soon to learn 3.0 (teammate will just have to deal with my trees!) Annoyingly the battleline requirement increase to 3 above 1k points now… Curious about your thoughts on this list: Allegiance: Sylvaneth - Glade: Winterleaf LEADERS Branchwraith (95) in Warlord - Deepwood Spell: Throne of Vines Treelord Ancient (295) in Warlord - General - Command Trait: My Heart Is Ice - Artefact: The Oaken Armour - Deepwood Spell: Regrowth Arch-Revenant (105) in Warlord - Artefact: Frozen Kernel UNITS 10 x Dryads (95) in Warlord 5 x Tree-Revenants (80) in Hunters of the Heartlands 5 x Tree-Revenants (80) in Hunters of the Heartlands 6 x Kurnoth Hunters with Kurnoth Scythes (430) in Hunters of the Heartlands ENDLESS SPELLS & INVOCATIONS Spiteswarm Hive (40) Total: 1220/1250 Other options I’m considering are ditching the dryads, endless spell and arch-revenant for a third unit of Tree-Revenants and a standard Treelord (lands me at 1250 on the dot). Or going Gnarlroot, with bow hunters instead. Not sure what my teammate would be yet, so keeping it quite open. I’ve got most models except Alarielle, so happy for any recommendations
  10. Doesn't necessarily indicate anything officially, but if it has been intentionally changed recently, I'm guessing it's for a reason. Back to Regrowth on Drycha for now!
  11. Playing around on Warscroll builder - not sure if it was recently updated, but Drycha can't seem to pick Universal spells anymore. I'm pretty sure she could pick it a few days ago (correct me if I'm wrong)? Might seem to indicate uniques are unable to pick them after all - seeing as my Treelord Ancient appears able to.
  12. I see a lot of talk about Wyldwoods still being a Wyldwood after being destroyed by a monster due to it retaining their keywords (which makes perfect sense to me). But looking back at all the new endless spells and faction terrain warscrolls, I don't see any keywords anywhere. Have they just not included keywords for the FAQs, or have they been removed?
  13. Seems flamers were hit yet again. Lost the +2 to 20 models which is fine and expected. But losing the +1 from the exalted flamer feels like a punch to the gut, considering together they went up by 75 points.
  14. Something I've noticed in the wording of normal moves and retreats (8.1/2). You can't make a normal move with a unit if it is within 3" of an enemy - our Tree Revenants teleport works instead of a normal move. Retreating no longer makes a 'normal move'. Does this mean our Tree Revs are stuck in combat (besides a normal retreat)? Obviously FAQ might clarify this, but even so, I'm hoping it doesn't mean our teleport eventually turns into a retreat and we can't charge after teleporting...
