  1. I'm interpreting the "usual goodies - including more new miniatures!" as still being under the "In Warhammer Age of Sigmar" umbrella. If I'm right it can only be a Dawnbringer Preview. Otherwise, I'm dreading a Necromunday/Blood Bowl mini
  2. You select the text you want to spoiler-ify then press the spoiler button. On desktop it's the little eye icon on the top bar. Don't know how to do it on mobile but posting there is pretty hard to begin with 😛
  3. I mean, it's only like 10 guys and only one of them is actually in relatively "good health". Sounds to be the kind of tiny, ill equipped, low morale outpost garrison to be easy prey to stuff like this. Not to mention the new FeC Harbringer's ability to magically manipulate how they and their followers are perceived by those of weak will (mentioned in the initial Dawnbringers book series reveal).
  4. I think that more gritty/grimdark aesthetics can still coexist with a hopeful faction identity. Also, I think there might be more hope in Freeguild armies now that it seems everyone has shoes.
  5. Alas, seems like by-weekly Cities reveals were too good to be true. It's still my most anticipated release of the year, but damn they are dragging this one out 😛
  6. Imo it's still too early for that. Next SM/Tyranid mini is most probably coming in Fall alongside their Codices. Specialist Games or Cities is far more likely, especially if they follow the pattern they've had for Seraphon and Votann.
  7. I'm still thinking we'll see the next Cities mini tomorrow (they usually don't specify which game system is getting mini on Sundays 😛). I really hope we aren't going back to Necromundays.
  8. All these new miniature reveals have got me thinking about general "Sigmarite" aesthetics. Let't take newer Stormcast for example Their armour and equipment is sleek, incredibly well-made, and, amongst many other influences, has a slight "art-deco"/high(er) fantasy feel to it, which is shared with the new terrain pieces and artistic depictions of Cities, the latter of which often incorporating steampunk tech and being of grand scale. In contrast, The new range of CoS sigmar minis have, at least so far, followed a more down-to-earth, medieval fantasy aesthetic, more fitting for an army venturing out on a Crusade, whilst still somehow fitting in with the Stormcast's and large cities architectural style and offering a nice contrast, at least imo (especially with some of the more elaborate "floral" patterns on some of the minis). I am curious to see if some of the more "elite" units we might see in the future will see us getting some of that "art-deco" aesthetic represented in the army (veterans emulating Stormcast? Azyrite War-Altar? Higher ranking officers?), or if that will be relegated to only terrain and Stormcast. Or maybe for a potential 2nd wave of releases to represent the "established city" part of the army compared to the "basic troops"/"Dawnbringer forces" we are seeing now?
  9. Where did you see the AoS Q&A results? Afaik it's lost eldritch lore.
  10. Living City when there are no wood aelves but the writers still want it to be aelf focused: Privateers and Sylvaneth it is List seems plausible, bit more meat to it than the last "City themed leak", so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. If it's real it's an incredibly nice and complete feeling release (albeit surprisingly without Warrior Priest and Wizard kits, although with the hopes of a second wave soon!), but as always, it needs to be taken with that bit of salt.
  11. I'm thinking Cities reveals will follow a similar pattern to Squats last year, with them putting out a reveal every 2 weeks/other specific span of time leading up to a reveal show to show off the Army Set/rest of the kits. Also, this is the most hyped I've been for a release in forever. Every mini they've shown so far has been absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to see what else we'll be getting. Especially excited for the potential center-piece big artillery and war altar!
  12. I really hope we get some DLC factions down the line. Just imagine Freeguild Cavaliers charging down the filthy Orruks! Granted, the game would probably have to be succesful (and hopefully good) for that.
  13. I love how they said gameplay in June but then had like a full 20 seconds in the interview trailer afterwards. Game looks surprisingly potentially good. Can't wait to see how it ends up being!
  14. Looking at the Marshal variants again... Could the yellow ones be showing us our first glimpse of the Greywater colour scheme? The other ones imo clearly look to be from Hammerhal Aqshy, with the red and orange colours and iconography on the shield, but these guys are different. Their outfits themselves have the signature "vibrant industrial yellow", and cogwheel-like black pattern, with the Marshal's cape looking more like a water resistant poncho than a general's regal robe. And of course, he has two pistols, blackpowder weaponry being the specialty of the Fastness. Their basing (more visible in the reveal video) also looks more "swampy", with yellowish grass and mossy looking ground. If this is the "new" Greywater scheme (yellow and black), I might even reconsider my move away from the city for army theming (and if we get ample amounts of guns and artillery 😛) Am I just being too hopeful or does any else see this in them?
  15. Also, another sighting of the "complete Dawnbringer building" terrain in this frankly just awesome image.
  16. Compilation Image 2.0 "Aw yeah, it's all coming together" Yeah, I think that's especially apparent with the Cavaliers' heraldry. I'm just expecting a Handgunner squad and a Bombard. Of course, a Border Walker or small Cogfort would be a welcome surprise! Also, speaking of command structure, are we thinking that this is the new General equivalent, or that the Marshal is a lower/higher rank? I personally think we'll still get a higher ranking officer on mount with named character option (or maybe a "Freeguild Marshal on Demigryph/Horse?").
  17. OH MY SIGMAR I LOVE THEM! I was wondering how they were going to have single human officers, and the Relic Envoy is a really good compromise between single guy and command squad imo. Like to see that the Marshal has plenty of weapon and cosmetic options, including awesome helmet that will only ever be in someone's hand with no hope of putting it on their head no. 23 that's a really nice evolution of the standard Freeguild Guard bucket. My only criticism would be that the double pistol pose looks a little funky, but I think him looking the way the pistols are pointing would improve that by a lot (and also not dual wielding them 😛). Pistols size-wise are really nice imo, I think it's fitting that it looks like it could blow right through a Chaos Warrior's chestplate. Did I say how much I love this and the entire refresh already?
  18. Those are probably 2024's Event Exclusives. This year's were revealed just 3 months ago.
  19. Plot twist: it's just the generic Witch Hunter kit 😛 Iirc they said the Warscroll Cards were exclusive to the Army Set Probably mainly because in the reveal show they said it was coming in the "next few of weeks"
  20. Now that we're kinda focused on the topic of video games (especially Souls-like)... I'd absolutely love a series (trilogy?) of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom style games where you are a Stormcast (Vanguard?) sent to scout out and prepare an area for the founding of a new city, with the map becoming more and more built up and having more and more NPCs with each new game. Sorta like from this: To this: Ramblings: Of course this'd never happen, but at least we do have BOTW and TOTK, which imo already give off vibes of Dawnbringer crusade-y resettlement stuff 😛
  21. Yeah, I don't see how this Is somehow more plasticy/bad looking than this Or this Yes, the metal is shinier (could be because it's "perfect" Stormcast armour), but I don't think the colours look any more cartoony/plastic than DOW or TWW, especially for a location that most likely looks to be a swamp in Ghyran/Ghur. Perhaps a map in Shyish or a volcano interior in Aqshy could be darker? Also, not to get my hopes up, but how often does Frontier release DLCs for their games? I'd love to get more than 3-4 factions in an AoS game for once (maybe even Cities 😛?)
  22. I also hope it has more than 3-4 factions total in it's lifespan...
