  1. I'm being cautious as this seems to be a throwaway, but a pre-order on the 26th (27 is a Sunday...) seems believable.
  2. The releases being swapped would be the dream, although I'm not sure GW would want to do that. Imho Cities boxes are probably all already in warehouses/ready for release, so technically it maybe could probably be kinda feasible?
  3. Sergeant is on a 25mm. Don't know where the 32 came from. And of course Steam Tanks. And maybe that converted Pontifex 😛
  4. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/08/11/the-hammerhal-herald-the-cities-of-sigmar-need-you/ And that's 4 out of 5 days with a Cities article. They've really gone full throttle with these, huh. Nice to see the Hammerhal Herald return too, although I hope we don't end up with a fully wheelless army once they get around to deciding what to do with the Steam Tank/Hurricanum in a few months/years/decades. (Please be on pre-order next week, please be on pre-order next week...)
  5. My problem with the Castelite idea is that it is something I'd get like 2-3 of and not have any other kits and I don't want that to happen because I actually want some variety 😛
  6. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/08/10/tour-the-cities-of-sigmar-and-see-the-wonders-of-the-mortal-realms/ And that's 3 out of 4 days with a CoS article. I really feel the Army Set could be out this month. Or maybe not, who knows? 😛
  7. I know it's not numbers crunching or rules analysis, but It kinda defeats the purpose of the Cult of the Wheel, but I really want a big massive War Altar that looks like it can trudge through a swamp in an armoured column with Steam Tanks (and 1 Hurricanum/Luminark with unglued top is plenty enough for me from the Broken Realms box). Maybe use the carriers for something else Devoted related as an objective marker/thematic extra (Statue Bearers? Holy Grail "artillery"?).
  8. Okay, now my hope is rekindled for an August release! Even more so if we keep getting articles every day 😛 And that artwork is just something else... I think I want to do a Castelite formation even more now.
  9. Still think Chorfs are going to be the big reveal at the end of Dawnbringers/just before 4th comes like World Eaters/Soulblight.
  10. Swamp trees are perfect for fueling steam boilers, Especially when running the only city that can't ally with Sylvaneth 😛
  11. I agree with the Steam Tank and Gyrocopter part, but Sylvaneth? Won't somebody think of the manufacturing in Greywater? Battletome looks about what I expected, but now I'm once again unsure of how to paint my army... I'll probably set aside a squad of Steelhelms from the Army Set to test out some schemes (I'm thinking Greywater, Lethis, Settler's Gain or Vindicarum, and trying to homebrew a Azyrheim/Azyrite scheme with azure, gold, yellow and white for my Hurricanum's escort). Definitely doing at least one Castelite Formation with 2 Fusiliers, 1 Steelhelms, 2 Fusil-Majors and a Cannon. And hopefully finally finishing my dream of a Steam Tank squadron with a Commander and two regulars.
  12. Greywater my beloved. Settler's Gain would look incredible with some Lumineth. I'd love Lethis with a darker purple, and the cyan on Vindicarum looks really good. Might have to do some allied detachments if I ever get bored of painting black and yellow.
  13. Interesting. I still think army set is coming in early-mid September/hoping for mid-late August 😛 Now that we "know" that Epic most likely got delayed because of something with the core book (most likely poor proof-reading/rules quality as that's what I've mostly heard), do we think this might bring some early Fall releases forward to fill the large, enormous, gaping, etc. hole left by it? I am in no way theorizing about this due to my terminal hype for the Cities release which has slowly been wracking my body both physically and mentally since the announcement last May, and thus hoping for the Army Set to release before Summer's over and life picks up again.
  14. Ok, now I know what to do for the basing on my Gyrobomber!
  15. She is a centerpiece, but she's also Hammerhal Aqsha specific. I really hope the warscroll doesn't have the city keyword (like the Cursed City heroes and Ulfenkarn...)
  16. Also, now that we've had everything revealed... What are we thinking in terms of Army Set release dates? Imho I'd say anything from mid August (2-3 weeks from now) to mid September is likely, although I don't know if Epic getting delayed effects this in any way (bringing it forward or pushing it back). Might they just want this out of the way before we go back to tiny Space Marine and regular Space Marine release madness? Or keep it until early September like they presumably planned?
  17. Now that I've had a bit of a think about it, this release (even though I love it and think it's the best range refresh we've had ever) really feels like it has a case of first wave syndrome, with it missing a generic big centerpiece and the amount of old non-human/human kits left. I wouldn't be surprised to see a wave 2 either with a later Dawnbringer book ala Lumineth, or for their 4th Edition Battletome. However, I'm fully satisfied if this (and maybe some Underworlds/more Warcry later) is all we'll get for the time being.
  18. The skeleton piper is just the best! Command Corps are currently my number 1 kit to get after the Launch Set! Now to see all this in Greywater colours...
  19. The Great Herald holds a banner, accompanied by Mascot Gargoylians. You might have spotted smaller Gargoylians on the bases of other Cities of Sigmar units – we’ll have more information on these peculiar creatures soon! MORE INFO ON THE LITTLE SNAIL MEN COMING SOON!
  20. For the ultimate balance, I will take the on foot marshal and glue it on behind the mounted Marshal so they share a horse. And give everyone else a fully armoured and decorated horse. And little snail creature. And apply at least 5 purity seals to every mini. And make a double decker cannon. And put a helmet on everyone's helmet. They'll make a really nice display by the time my coffin goes under.
  21. This is the new Greywater scheme. Everything else we've seen has been for Hammerhal Aqsha so far.
  22. Although I agree that the Stormcast range can plug in holes, I don't want the faction to become dependent on them. Imho Cities (and every other faction) should be able to stand on it's own.
