  1. I still don't get how Grungni and the whole duardin underworld thing relates to Gazul getting beaten by Nagash though...the gazulzagaz people still adores him as "living" and Grungni never touched the "death aspect" of the pantheon as it was defended and mantained by Gazul...

About battletome:i really doubt we'll see the first two battletomes later this year...imho before the end of july.

Also, as someone who has been vocally anti-soup for the Dwarfs, I will admit that GW has been doing a good job planting the seeds story wise and I am so happy that we are getting some spotlight.

Now as long as Kharadron keep being a supported sub-faction with new models and lore, ill be eternally happy.

I'd say also Fyreslayers...they need badly new things.

Still i'm thinking i'm also accepting the inevitable souping begrudgingly.

Still let's see how it will be done.

To be honest the ancestor spirits could be reforge in a new body or encased in some runic golems...

Maybe gholemkind are made up by dead duardin souls?

Idk...i just hope this edition will be the greenskins vs dwarf one.

You misunderstood, Grungni refered to the spire fall caused by Lumineth and so the whole hysh was falling to chaos, thus duardin lived there also had to abandon their karaks while Lumineth themselves were in dire condition

Ah sorry i read it in a pinch and i misunderstood.

  4. If soup is the way to go at least i hope dispossessed will get the Kruleboyz treatment with new models and units.

@Clan's Cynici read a brief passage and seems that in Hysh the lumineth also destroyed some duardin fortress though the duardin wanted cooperation ...traitors as always.

  5. Considering that the piece of text talks of Kragnos entering the "story" and in the meanwhile Grungni returning i thing that the new army is just stormcasts.

Sure we already know that, but the text seems to "make a recap" of what's going on and the first thing he's doing (after defending that snake of Morathi unfortunately) is to create the new Stormcast armors.

So don't gets your hopes too up unfortunately....

    Ardboys

Kruelboyz have another 3 potential units in a calvary unit and two rumored beasts.

Both IJ and Bonesplitterz should have at least  2\3 new units each other than making plastic wurrgog\wardokk imho.
Kruleboyz having more units could unbalance big waagh style.
But who knows what GW is thinking...

  7. Nurgle vs death would make sense as they are opposite, and both are not alliances of Dominion.

Nurgle hates the stagnation of Nagash as it does not generate life like the nurgle cycle.

So Fec vs Nuigle would make sense?

You can always switch the head for a helmeted option. Sounds like Dominion will have a few options for heads. I really like that Stormcast seem to have gone for a somewhat standard build with additional heroic flair, as it makes kit-bashing them a lot simpler as sizes are generally pretty similar.

I personally really like the head but I am a true millennial hipster dirtbag. I think people will appreciate the sculpt more when they see different paint jobs though. Maybe you could trade someone for Astreia Solbright's head?

Iirc Yndrasta does not have the dual option for head, the sprue has the head locked with the shoulder some guys at the stores said.

@MothmanDrawsidk i don't have sisters so idk how much taller is still the heads seems pretty "humansized" it should go fine...but wait some comparison first.

  9. Seeing the models at the store made me think to not gives away the stormcasts.

The only model still don't like much is Yndrasta,i'd change the head with a sister of 40k.She's shorter than i thought also.

The Killabos is really huge,i thought otherwise but is a really gorgeous model.

They will look like the Total War: Warhammer 3 models CA and GW are working on right now and probably release for The Old World. I really doubt they will put ressources into a second army concept for AoS.

Perhaps they'll diversify to some degree.

Also i doubt we'll see them also in tow...unfortunately.

    Have even more hope!image.png.e18ae7407f3b30aac6013c92445821f4.png

    Praised be Hashut!
I like it also the  thing that are more "sort of swindlers\mercenaries"that just get paid by them than just slave overseer\lackeys, it gives some more personality (while i absolutely loved also the old style).
Hobgrots having an empirein the past is interesting though...
Interesting the mention of "clans" i don't remember the term used in the Dawi Zharr society....it seemed less "clan-based" and more composed of "social classes"(i can't explain exactly what i mean).
The love for explosives also is a nice touch.

Dawnbringer Crusades as a name for rebooted Cities doesn't sound all that friendly to inter species cooperation. It certainly doesn't fit Covens or Serpentis.

Maybe they dump all non-humans by then, or spread them across new books.

I'd rather have them dump the god's name entirely than intensify Catholic and Imperium similarities.

But then again, xenophobia sells, 40k proves.

Azyr contained dwarves, elves and humans for centuries and these crusaders are their continuation, i doubt they'll dump totally the interspecies units as ,opposed to the 40k imperium, gods are worshipped by various species(for example the Grungni forge-dimension in spear of shadows has some Ogors).

Serpentis and privateers have also faithful and loyal sigmarite in them, and even who do not worship sigmar find common causes in the cities civilization where they belonged for many years.

Still i find strange having Dok helping these efforts and not seen as traitors though.

Out of curiosity, why are the filthy elgi coming before the Dawi-Zhar? We actually have legit rumors about the latter.

Because this rumor is not true most probably.

Still i think Malerion will come first than Chaos dwarves though.

  14. So in the article they teased the sludgeraker,a winged monster and lesser gnawtooth hound pack-sort-of?

Considering the beast breakaz part i think that will be another subdivision of the themes of these kruleboyz.

I know they don't have unlimited resources but creating the "human" (going by CoS they might be a good mix) faction has been long overdue. Judging by the bits and pieces and minis we've seen, it will be good-looking to say the least. I also believe this "human" POV might make the world and other factions even more interesting as we get to see them from Average Joe's eyes. I'm excited for that.

It won't be a crusade without some sigmarite faith reinforcements though....like priests and witchunters :) .
Still the more grounded feel of "common men and inhabitants of the realms" could boost the already looming grimdark of the setting, but maybe more "noble"(striving to win against chaos and less hopelessness).
After all life is rampant and probably a new season of blooming civilizations and nations could define better the setting.

  16. @NeverchosenTo be honest some mammalian huge beasts could be really interesting...bulls,rhinos,elephants,giant elks and so on.

Maybe is my itch for the return of lammasuses and Chaos dwarves tauruses.

Still, as i already mentioned, neutral wandering monsters mechanics like endless spells could be great to explore the realms fauna and monsters.

Fw made the winds incarnates spirits so some monsters with the infused elements of the winds of magic could still be great (lava rhinos of Aqshy, quicksilver mesmerising drakes from chamon and so on).

@KingBroddKruleboyz definitively needs more Frogs and Crocs monsters...

  17. That mention about the crusades being lead by Daughters and Fyreslayers gives me doubt they'll end up in cities soup.

And it puzzles me even more than seeing them souped with other D.Elves of Malerion and Kharadron...

It would be utterly strange and worse than i thought imho...:p

Still interesting the part on the floating cities, while Kharadron does not seems mentioned while they are in the artwork (makes sense them wanting to pour money on the effort though as the opportunities and profits will increase).

I hope the monster they are teasing is for Kruleboyz because another troggoth unit could be great, still a preview for another army could be even more thrilling.

  18. I always liked that the Chaos dwarves Hobgoblins were clearly scythian and not mongolian differing them from Oglah Khan ones(and he did'nt have the same problems of Ghazak,he just had a goblinoid face if i recall correctly),as chaos dwarves were persians so taking from the same timeframe.
