  1. It's not just that...they should compress all the contents from the two battletomes cutting in half for each army and compressing in one unified book, having less background and lore for each dwarf people, considering they have two different stories in the mortal realms and two entirely different cultures. But i'll stop on the matter, i don't want to derail further the thread and i'd prefer to talk about those Kroolboyz. @novakaiProbably they want something to "impress" and a new army always generates hype of some sort considering we still don't know anything of them. Also destruction is severely lacking in number of armies so they want to add something first i think.
  2. Considering the 3rd edition is starting with a new destruction army and there's no trace in latest books i'd say is dubious (by contrast Lumineth while taking more time than expected has'nt changed the idea of having two books). Also Iirc it was the "fake, not fake rumor". Let's see though, more IJ shoud arrive in this new edition if destruction takes the stage i think.
  3. @Muttonseeing warclans just seems a cheap way to add options to the rooster without improving neither, as the ironjawz still have'nt got anything.Seeing also how GW sometimes operates does'nt help. The duardrazhal seems more an alliance to retake the holds helping the dispossessed (perhaps even giving them a shot as being a single army). Still of course gw could do what he wants, but again, it would be a bad thing to do, even more when we already got "species" with multiple variations.
  4. I talk about mostly army aesthetic and gameplay. While i can see an allegiance of mixed dwarf in a campaign book, taking 2 new armies of aos and fuse them without motive is bad game design. Also the two dwarven cultures have already a background motive for being separated, we can't ignoŕe that. While i don't like to complain too much we can't be always ok with everything. Also if gw will fuse the two dwarf armies while still having the 5/6 armies of elves untouched would be utter insulting.
  5. An united dwarf army would be the worst idea possible. Ko and Fyreslayers are too different, even with a dispossesed revamp to "link them".
  6. @Public Universal DuardinOk i just mixed two different rumors, the one of the box by Grimdark seems genuinely more probable. The one i mentioned, that whitefang called "fake, not fake" was a rumors with many things for the aos 3rd edition like "Cos becoming aos imperial guard or an united dwarf army".
  7. Sorry i read Grimdark as the concept and not the channel. I thought he meant the "grimdark" in aos was coming back...lol. @Public Universal Duardinstill that rumors talked about so many things that is'nt automatically all of them confirmed. Hoping that the united dwarf part is the fake one. Unless i'm mixing them up perhaps?
  8. It never went off though. Still makes sense being little sized considering a snotling is stirring it.
  9. One novel mentioned Orruks mercenaries, a thing that already existed in 40k. About the rumor engine:so this is one of the true part in that "Fake, not fake" rumor?
  10. Was already post some days ago, should there also be the link to the video.
  11. @Hosemani think it's the dubious one posted some days ago with some added things (little centaurs?). Still chaos dwarves already exists in the lore of aos so i doubt they'll be antthing other than chaos aligned.
  12. The idea of firebellies wanting to consume the sun gives a great background to expand upon. Maybe giving them a more "religious side" to attack Hysh in a eating frenzy. Still i love the idea to give them an anatomous army.
  13. Fyreslayers problem is that different kits are nearly identical, at least ironjawz got more difference. They should have used some other elements like pants, scarves and some other jewelry. Imho a monk style infantry with shaved heads and some clothes between the jewels could do the trick. Kharadron can adds some subtheme like the guilds and the type of ships/works:whalers, pirates, forecadtinator guild heroes that uses maths to buff units and so on. Also some subtheme could be their army expanded like goblin spiders or deadwalker...unlike lumineth who haves "real subthemes" still with a singular cultural and aesthetic characterization.
  14. The firebelly mask ha some asian elements though,it make me think about early chinese bronzes and similar things. Imho should be a perfect ideas for firebellies artstyle to contrast the mongolian classic gutbuster.
  15. Mmm seems similar to Lotr orcs and goblins the icon. Idk...i don't like the idea of a greenskin race too different from Grots and orruks. Let's see the "people" and not only the art of them. Still this is the first of a series of RE for the box/starting faction as it's named "part1".
  16. Sorry i remembered wrong i fused Snorri Whitebeard with Gotrek starbreaker... Please be free to mark a grudge to this dawi XD. Still i meant that Grombrindal is more than just that, ofc all the dwarf gods are on the same side (but in aos there's something still obscure about traitors?) but seems a little "downsizing" saying that Grombrindal is just "Grungni's champion".
  17. @EccentricCirclethe ancestor gods have a problem reading some recent piece of lore, we know that a "betrayal" (the Thagduegi) broke the Dwarf Pantheon, and in soulbound is mentioned that the chain that bound Grimnir and Grungni were built by Grungni for a "dark purpose" or something similar. Still means that ancestors other than Valaya, Gazul,Grimnir and Grungni are all alive and perhaps someone even got some problem. Still i think Grombrdondal is more an hero for all the dwarfdom and not a "simple" Grungni's Champion(while still they work together). Iirc there was a lorepiece that said that Gotrek starbreaker became grombrindal because he was so stubborn that he overcome death. Also i'd like to see him talk again with Malekith, as they were friends in the old world before the war of the beard.
  18. I think that theme will be used by Grotbag(ramshackle airships with grots using broken fake wings like doom divers and pump powered copters).
  19. White i agree that sort of Basic orc form should return to better unites warclans(but would be better to expand ironjawz)i love the idea of branching greenskins species because was a lore part not expanded much in whfb(they should have had the elvish numbers treatment). For the same reason i don't like much the ideas of destruction armies not greenskins/ogors/troggoth/giants (unlike some ideas like Human worshipping Gorkamorka,),the GA has some sort of thematic cohesion.
  20. 2 waves with just some months of difference for armies would be the worst idea possible If it will became the standard for GW releases.
  21. Hold on a sec....boyz is the term used for orcs usually. Not even Hobgoblin does iirc. What If it is a complete armi with all the type of greenskins? @HollowHillsi'd say the other day round about nobledark...whfb had always the grimdark tone of "chaos will win in the end",aos intsead ha more brightness.
  22. I think the major problems is that malice is difficult to convey visually. Old world greenskins,40k ones and also aos ones have malicious and crafty sides, still this is mostly a lore piece not reflected in the models. Orks in 40k have books full of the kultural side of the lore that you can't see normally for example. Also i'd sy that orcs at least have the real raw power done in the best way, Khorne servants are still slaves to him and corrupt as chaos does in a way, destruction is the purest form of "survival of the fittest" we could see that even Uruks can't convey imho, because after all they're still servants of another power.
  23. The options to add some of these new ladz in Warclans is really interesting. Maybe we're getting some orruks other than Hobgobz\grots. @sandlemadso i'm not the only one that thought about him XD.
