Yeah cool mini but… he does look a lot like a brute. There’s some mention about discipline in the article text but I’m interested in seeing the line ardboys.

If they’re trying to align their armour style to the wider ironjaws beaten-metal aesthetic, cool, but I hope they do actually keep some meaningful distinction (in both looks and background) so it’s not just “brutes” and “brutes with masks”. Would certainly be interested in seeing a size comparison.

Exactly my thoughts, im totally fine to give a uniform aesthetics to an army but like this is too much: they are literally two units (brutes and ardboys) wearing identical armor and weapons... they are greenskin for god sake, not a smurf army, make units different a bit 😓. Size and a mask is not enough IMHO.

  2. Actually i very like the mix of Ironjawz and bonesplitterz aesthetically speaking.. i always seen the ironjawz as a mix of black orc and savage ones!

In fact i always planned my army to be this sort of mix (had one savage box untouched, maybe its time to build them :D) but never done  it seriously cause the mix didnt worked well in gaming... hopefully now will be much more convenient!!

  3. I pretty like the "union" of  IJ and bonesplitterz, i always wanted to play a mixed army with them i feel they are very cool togheter (speaking in aesthetic matter). And honestly i dont ever liked the division in too much battletome (at least i would like it if there will be a lot of units, but we all know the fact XD)

    New ogre meanwhile....  😍😍

  4. Here my steelheart's champions, nothing special for this time i simply follow the gw ones without any sort of customization (one of the few since i started the hobby looong ago, usually i always think to personal color scheme and background!)

New White Dwarf has dropped through this morning. I'm sure someone will be along to add pictures, but Shadespire is coming in at £40 / 50 EUR / $60 USD / $70 CAN.

It's launching alongside Stormcast/Bloodbound themed card sleeves, which are £5 / $8 USD.

    Pre-order 14th for release on the 21st.

Sepulchral Guard and Ironskull's Boyz look to be the first two expansions, as they're both advertised later on (no price given). Each box also contains 29 faction specific cards, and 31 universal cards, split between upgrades, ploys & objectives.

  6. @Gavroche I like him a lot, remember some sort of ancient and old king! The only thing i would change is the axe, an hammer or a spear suit better for me!

@AlexRasmussen @nicromancer love both of your conversion, some great characters you have made! The pantjob on Imcyra is awesome really "blanchitsu" style!

Ive also try in these days to paint the first of my dreg in a style more blanchitsu than my standard  (if you have seen my orruks they are clean and smooth mostly); I've test a lot on his surface, at the end the final result it's better than i tought during the painting sessions where i was a bit demoralized.

I dont know if i will continue to try and paint the rest of warband with this style, let me know if you like him:

(the head have different skin tone due to the many tries i talked about but i left it because remind me leather face, so imagine him like its wearing a leather mask :D!)

@MorghotI love him. For a coincidence, maybe is he inspired in Havel the Rock from Dark Souls?  I just love the Blithkings armor desings, but I don't like Nurgle T.T I will copy the trick of fulling the corrosion holes with greenstuff!

@Galas It's him :D! Love Dark Souls and i think there is a lot of inspiration to be taken from it especially for aos28!

Anyway I thought i'd posted it before but i was wrong, must remove his photo from the spoiler <.<!

Always a lot of great work here,  all of you, your lady @nicromancer is outstanding!

@Hagen Wow i love your work and also your painted stormcast posted in the first pages! Amazing it's how i always want to make stormcast, marble style! Amazing fit super well with the aos universe and at the same time with this project! And i noticed from your scatch you are italian , like me!xD

ps: non sei iscritto su forumgwtilea? Proprio da poco si è aperto un topic su aos28 e sarebbe fantastico vedere le tue opere anche lì, meritano troppo!!

  9. Wonderful topic and project! Im thinking about a lot of things to do but for now im working on update my ex-mordheim warband of undead and move them into this new aos realms, so here some of my wip and finished models! Sorry for the lack of explanation about them (conversions and bg) but im not  english and it would take too much time to write all (in a bad english anyway xD).

2 dreg, Gogol (the hunchbacked) and Messer Sottile, these are the only two  already done time ago for the mordheim warband

Cheers bro! That's a great compliment. Glad the passion and enthusiasm comes through. Tbh all the hours painting at the moment is a little draining at times, so pleased to hear that's not the overriding emotion I'm projecting.

Nice spot on the Megaboss conversion. It's quite understated and I don't think a lot of people pick up on it!! Have you got a pic of yours?

Yep it's in the topic of my orruks army in the painting and modelling section! But it's not complete im changing it after have seen the megaboss of @Aaron Schmidt that give me a super input to re-pose him a little!

The mawcrusha is wonderful, really cool the details on the tail!
