  1. So I finished the most recent addition to my warband, the Daughters of Khorne. This is Gallu, the Maimed. A super fun project that I'll think up some lore or stories for later on. I'll touch up small details on him as the week goes by, but for now I'm happy with how he turned out.
  2. Thanks!! I'm not entirely sure which miniature it is. He's mostly comprised of random parts I received in a grab bag from Mierce Miniatures from the Infernii range. And yeah I've always drawn a lot of influence from Frazetta! He was such a fantastically talented artist!!
  3. This is the newest member of my Daughters of Khorne warband that I'm working on. I'm really excited to get back to working on this project as I've been sidetracked with painting other things recently. Here's the progress so far...
  4. @Moldek Thanks mate! I finished the fourth member of my Daughters of Khorne Warband...
  5. So I haven't posted an update in a while, I've been out of the country for a month and busy with school and what not, but here is the current state of my Daughters of Khorne warband. I haven't had a ton of time to write lore for them unfortunately as I've poured all my free time into building and painting recently, but fear not for the stories explaining the histories of this merry troupe of Khornate chicks are on their way! The fourth member is well under way and I'll be putting up pictures of her WIP this week. If you're interested in more pictures the link to my website is at the bottom of all my posts and as always I appreciate any comments and criticism! Being so new to painting I'm always eager to learn anything I can from the more experienced painters here!
  6. So just a little update on my Daughters of Khorne warband; I have unfortunately not been writing anything lately (I had a 17 page Archaeological Sciences term paper to write which drained me of any interest in writing for the time being haha) so the stories for my characters have been put on a temporary hiatus, but I have had a little bit of free time to paint and my second character is coming along pretty well. She is the most skilled warrior of the band and the Executioner is what I've nicknamed her until I manage to think of names for my characters. So here are pictures of her current state of progress, still a lot of details to fix and all. And @Hagen, as always, fantastic work mate! I love the color palette and the general feel of the minis for your Alluminarchate series. They're very reminiscent of John Howe, I love them!
  7. @Galas Thanks, the head is one of the Sisters of the Thorn heads, I sculpted the face mask and hood and added the tusks. Good female heads are difficult to find. The model is comprised of parts from four or five different kits.
  8. I have absolutely fallen in love with this project! There are so many awesome models for this project so far and I can't believe how much fantastic talent there is here! This is just the beginning of my contribution, but the general idea is what I'm calling the Daughters of Khorne (hopefully around 6-8 models). I'm working on literature in addition to the models, and the only character I have really fleshed out thus far is the leader. She's the eldest of the warband and is in essence the spiritual leader/matriarch. She's blind and is tasked with carrying a massive bell, which she wields as a weapon. She keeps the rhythm of battle. She is still very much in the WIP stage at the moment, both the model and her story, but the model should be finished this weekend! Here's a link to my instagram if anyone is interested in following my work more closely, and I am also launching a blog/website very soon to host HD pictures of my work and post updates on my projects. A snippet of writing for her... "Pungent and foul was the aroma, though it bothered her not. The stench of corpses freshly slain and the steam that rose from the earth as the warm blood cooled in the chill of the early morning air was no foreign invader to her senses. She relished the bitter taste the thick smells left on her tongue as she stalked among the ruined bodies of her fallen enemies. A familiar scene to those who served the god of bloodshed and war as she did..."
