  1. So after play testing I found that I usually field one of these 4 lists each having their ups and downs. A few thoughts on the 2 greywater lists: - I think a smaller greywater battalion has it's place as it can threathen stuff even if you are forced to take a defensive turn 1, Had the 2 cannons and longrifles take out key pieces in my opponents force such as a slann/astrolith/skink priests in seraphon or battlesmith/other characters in fyrelayers. I do not think investing in an ordinator / more cannons is really worth it ...also stay away from the helblaster. - if you play the flamespyre as you would a frostheart you are going to have a bad time. However, it still has the tankyness and is able to hold character objectives quite nicely, disrupt enemy formations and snipe with it's wake of flames... yes if I had the 20 points to spare in the list I would change it to a frost in a heartbeat. I do like the flamespyre phoenix though and might try and play 2-3 riderless ones in a list. - Gotrek is such a great defensive tool for a gunline... Friend of mine made an image to describe a game he saw when I played a really fighty fyreslayer list which I'll paste in this post that describes his use far better than I could. however I do miss the turn one greywater welcome of the other greywater list, also having a phoenix is super strong for character objectives and relocation orb. I also included 2 hammerhall lists that is a similar build as my greywater that also works real well. The celestant prime buffed by twinstones fighting twice is great, however you don't have the luxury of using CMD on your shooty stuff which lowers their shootyness(no drillmaster or hiutting 2+ with irondrakes) but it lets your melee element to preform better. the other list is basically the same list... but with 2 phoenixes... Those buggers are so tough to kill and just fly around being ******, they are starved for command points at times though. I will try them out as tempest eye next up with the Celestial Hurricanum hawkeyed general (think I might be stubborn fielding a freeguild general... but I like the playstyle), I also like the idea of running double Gunhauler for doing pretty much the same job as shadow warrior flying high and going for undefended objectives (rather run them than pistoliers etc) Gotrek use in a Shooty list:
  2. Looks like Kieslev flesh With a shade of reikland flesh shade.
  3. Ghur mage to accompany Grombrindal! those +2 movement on run and charge be real important. DSC_1637.NEF
  4. Thank you! Alot of love, hate and general grumbling went into sculpting him.
  5. Ggur battlemage to movement buff gotrek...enjoy!
  6. Decided to channel another legendary wanderer that tends to show up when he is needed as my counts as gotrek. Grombrimdal the white dwarf: VID_25350907_191207_510.mp4
  7. I have been playing abit on Tabletop simulator (Great in covid 19 times!) It has preformed exceptionally well against lists that depends alot on their monsters such as keepers of secrets or terrorgheist heavy buillds as it can take apart the infrastructure of their list without having to fight em. (Eye of hysh Terrorgheist? Eat 1+ to hit handgun bullets!) The list has the damage to outgrind some of the tankier builds such as Warclans, Daugthers, Ossiarchs and Fyreslayers, although I can't pick a fair fight against em. Use the bridge only to fight parts of the army at the time... Divide et impera and all that. (irondrakes are deffo a MVP vs ossiarchs) ...Seraphon with a good caster is a bad time... Board wide dispell with +2 or +3 dispell roll is a sad time for the bridge, however cannons are a silver lining as they can potentially take out something important in the seraphon list turn 1... But yea... in a team tourney I'd beg my team to match me vs something else than seraphon. Listwise it has really good management around CMD usage, and even with bad adjutant rolls you have CMD to spend. The cannons preformed a role I was not expecting. Even though it has alot of drops my opponents usually takes the first turn not to get alpha striked. The sorceress + bleakswords is absolutely vital for getting thr bridge cast... This list would never work with a mage without + to casts... However this could be achived in Hallowheart aswell. ...A larger screen of guard would be nice as Handgunners are bittersweet using as a screen, and I really, really, really wanna find 20p for a frostheart instead of a flamespyre. also considering to make the general general instead of the sorceress as she is hard to snipe and doesn't really have to live past turn 1 ... maybe the runelord so irondrakes become battleline aswell for some hidden objectives? List and army (on tabletop simulator!)
  8. Bleakswords and shadow warriors all done! Only 20 handgunners to go and base 2000p is complete
  9. And I guess we have a winner... Looking forward to the next^^
  10. And that's another sorceress done. Might reward myself with making the various realm battlemages inbetween handgunners... Tried a new skincolour, hope ya'll like it.
  11. All good painters so far. However flameon has this nmm style that...well see for yourself. Another one is dave colwell... He just has an amazing skill using subtle light and colour. There are other several unique styles I like like bohun and kaha kataryna gorska(really hope i spelled that right...) But those 2 are my overall favorites.
  12. It is mainly the sustained fire power you get without using magic and drillmaster being a super reliable command trait if you can get your units down to hitting on +2. Say for example I ran tempest eye I would have to spend 3 cmd points a turn on rerolls alone to reach the same amount as drillmaster which is not sustainable. The tempest eye version of this list would prolly be a hurricanum with the trait that gave nearby shooting +1 to wound, however I do feel that build is too much 'all eggs in one basket' as if someone kills your hurricanum you are done for as far it comes to multiplying the effectiveness of your units. (Also temest eye bonus are not really that impactful as the movement will not be used on the infantry core or the shadow warriors and alot of the army only goes down to a 5+ save) Thematically i went for a feel of having dakka themed infantry kept in order by their officers, sorta a ww1 but if magic had been a thing. Sure I would need a cannon or four to really sell the greywater theme. But they are just inexcusably bad compared to what you can get instead of them and the main purpose of this list is to be competative while still sticking to the shooty theme. And the greywater cmd ability lets you bring your irondrakes down to 2+ and your hangunners down to 2+ or even +1 if you are going for -to hit stuff. Something romantic about a gunline of infantry hitting almost every shot... The shadow warriors are kitbashed to look like some blackpowder themed ranger to sell the whole ghoulmere theme. And the annointed is there due to me having to have some tankier character for threeplaces of arcane power/duality etc Picked choking fumes as the sorceress already has a built in debuff spell and it is more impactful that eroding blast the times I've tried them out... Also one of my sorceresses is smoking...^^ Link to my shadow warriors:
  13. Thank you, he is my counts as lord ordinator. He is infact 100% gw and sculpting putty ^^ there is a nurgle blightlord knight somewhere beneth it all.
  14. Feels like the topic to post in. Been wanting to make a cities army that makes heavy use of the greywater theme and looking for c&c as I find discussing a list the best way of finding its flaw. So that's the list. Idea is that sorceress the general for the durability as if she died alot of the army tech stops working. She basically deploys 30" away from enemy deployment to avoid turn 1 dispells and runelord deploys upfront so I can still dispell, Turn 1-2 Bridge cast and a heavy shooting alpha from mid field. Drillmaster since you can easily get 2+ to hit on most the shooty stuff . Freeguild general babysits handgunner blocks who will act as screen for the rest of the army. Runelord babysits the irondrakes giving em extra rend(real good tool to deal with petrifex and the like) 2 shadow warrior units to give me some units that can act independent from the rest of the army for grabbing objectives/deal with the backline support. Frostheart phoenix...Cuz Frostheart phoenix. Steam piston mail to make it even more tankier. So eventual changes I thought about: Dropping steam piston mail and taking the macroscope for an additional cmd point as this list will be spending lots. Another change in the same theme would be dropping 10 bleakswords for an extra CMD and some spell or something. So what do ya'll think? Army characters as tribute.
  15. ... Brought dragon to tabletop ready...so bloody tired of it ^^ Hope ya'll like it anyways.
  16. Decided to remake my bleakswords, Even though I really like the previous build I think the new version fits my army theme alot better where the old one is more "old world dark elf"
  17. Today I wanted to share a build alot of people seemed to like and have taken some inspiration from; my take on gotrek.
  18. Shadow warriors are starting to look like a unit. C&C always appreciated
  19. Hi, Here is my entry to the contest. And here is the link to my instagram post. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-M9CwgHMjL/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  20. Started working on my shadow warriors. C& C always appreciated!
  21. A soulscream Bridge counts as and a few Covid-19 painted handgunners. Enjoy! C&c always appreciated.
  22. Character time! as ya'll might have noticed I love making character for my army, An armies theme usually starts with a concept character and builds of it. For my wolves it was that one beastlord, For my stormcast it was my gavriel, for my cities it was the general and for these spartans it was my eternity warden who is not holding the hammer above his head. Left to right: Sunblood/oldblood, Astrolith bearer, Skink Priest, Slann starmaster, Star priest, Eternity wardens x2 ...Yes, I did watch alot of 300 while making these.
  23. These lads sorta lost their theme with the new seraphon book! Still love the build (theme was that aslong as they "kept their formation" they were borderline imortal with d3 damage per attack due to the eternal starhost...Sure 2wound guard are probably better, but I liked running em as a phalanxs :D) Also I am aware that these are borderline as to what people would accept at Wysiwyg conversions, but it has never been an issue while playing games.
