  1. Kharadron playing Warhammer? Seems fitting that only the richest army can afford the Hobby! But I honestly love the model and can't wait to see what the future holds for our capitalistic, atheist, steam punk'd, power armoured, high fantasy squats! I feel like GW loves Kharadron but also like all the other Duardin seem apprehensive of where to take the force going forward.
  2. Happy New Year may Grungni/Hashut Forge us all a fantastic set of models and safe and fortunate year ahead. Did we get a Middle Earth Strategy game reveal? Maybe that will get a preivew tomorrow with an Amazon tie in? Either way here is hoping for a Slann Mage Priest reveal tomorrow:
  3. Welcome to the forums friend... this is a solid theory and I think could hold weight. But on the other hand...
  4. My hope is a compilation of the videos but with at least one silhouette revealed per system
  5. I have to say whatever this vile thing is it is beautiful 😍
  6. Here are some rules previews for the new Boarding Action rules. I can't dive to deeply but it does seem like there are some movement rules which are the things most likely adaptable for AOS. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/12/29/warhammer-40000-boarding-actions-how-does-this-tense-new-game-mode-play/
  7. It is strange as it feels simultaneously very plausible with a Gitmob hero and potential Khorne hero and a potential Slaanesh hero being teased. The timeline and specific armies also seem very plausible. But there are some red flags such as the Seraphon release being a little light with models and not necessarily matching what was previewed. Also I am not convinced the model in the preview was for Slaanesh. Also as you mention there seems to be a lack of reveals for the Gitmob and there has been no news on the Spider Incarnate at this time and it should be released/revealed soon. I think we need either the Spider or the Chariot for evidence to really get a sense of what is true here.
  8. I think the scale is thrown by not knowing if the rider is a skink or saurus. Personally I feel like it is a Skink nibly astride a feathered Dino and it is maybe around the scale of the newer Mortal Seeker models in Slannesh? Unfortunately I have only seen the video once and I am still trying to find stills lol
  9. Eek I am at work and tried to discretly watch the video. Can anyone get screen grabs of the silhouettes... are we actually getting Malerion's overdue entry to the setting, Kurnothi Aleves, or better yet more Lumineth with an updated battle tome?
  10. Khorne hero? All I see is a sci-fi Blood Bowl player!
  11. I think that is the goal of my idea of incorporating some Hobgrot Troggoth riders is the hopes of making the more desperate elements feel coherent. For me it also establishes the Brekerboss as likely the one that deals with the Chaos Dwarves and considering how cruel/kruel that model appears it would make a cool way of tying together elements of the lore. Of course I am happy with Krruel Boyz simply getting any new unit support going forward.
  12. It is starting to feel more and more like we will see Chaos Squats, Exodites and Asdrubael Vect before we see Chaos Dwarves, Kurnothi or Malerion. This feels very 40k I could see it being tied to Vashtorr and Arks of Omen maybe new Darkmech? I do hope we see more Hobgrots. I keep on not understanding why we get thees awesome Goblin support units like hobgrots and gnoblars without dedicated hero support. Also I am still hoping that Hobgrots get an additional Chaos Dwarf/Hashut keyword in the future. I also still think a cavalry equivilant of them riding Trogoths to be supported by the Brekkaboss on Mirebrute would be an outstandingly unique unit choice that would differentiate Kruelboyz cavalry from the Pig riders and wolf riders of their fellow destruction warbands, while better integrating Trogoths into Kruel Boy Ranks.
  13. When all the ale has been guzzled by the King of the Ale Guzzlers!
  14. Many thanks all for the Holiday wishes and same to you. Hope that Santa has been generous to all the hobbyists and if you do not celebrate you either have the day off or are making bank and getting time and a half or overtime and that everyone is warm happy and healthy. Turns out my 'realistic' Space Marine prediction was all too accurate. Bah Humbug! At the very least I like Dark Angels knightly aesthetician and the little cloacked fellow is perfect for Cosmic Critters and Keycards. So at the very least it is a rare Space Marine character that I can easily tell holds some significance by looking at the model. If I ever do make my Rose Marines, I feel ol' Azrael might make a fitting commander.
  15. Oh I am really hoping for Morghur and plastic Centigors and a few plastic updates for resin heroes. I also hope that we get some of the rumoured grot releases. Then a bit of a preview for the next new army... maybe a Chaos Dwarf teaser or Malerion hint. Of course Old World, 40k, HH and Middle Earth Strategy Game Reveals Oh... 😒 I guess we will see some space marines... 😢
  16. Our Youtube Algorithms have different tastes.
  17. For me it is that plastic is just more forgiving, others have expressed why but I can just say I am barely good enough to handle the plastics. I see this claim about the price difference come up every so often and I am a little perplexed but it might be related to location? But even using Pounds Roboute Guilliman from forge world is roughly twice the cost of his GW equivalent. Forgeworld does have some cheaper options but whenever I see an approximate equivalent between FW and GW the FW model always seems way pricier to me... but I have not seen these models in person and clearly the FW Guilliman has a much more grandiose base... but each time I read that I look for a cool model for a hero or general and always leave feeling very poor.
  18. I think there is a fine balance to be had with expanding the keywords. Namely is it something that the majority of armies have. For example most armies contain some form of at least two of the following unit types Archers, Cavalry, Warmachines, Infantry, and Monsters. And is it general enough to cover enough unit types and situations while also not upsetting balance. For example can you introduce a Warmachine key word and still keep K.O. Balanced if their sky ships gain that key word? The issue is when Keywords get so granular that the game grinds to a halt as players debate if rules contradict or overlap... for example a buff allowing one keyword to attack first and a debuff forcing units with a keyword to attack last are simultaneously at play. With relatively few keywords such rulings are easier but when you have to contend with a dozen keywords things will get overlooked or just plain messy.
  19. To be honest I think that the AOS team is playing with the idea of having more keywords for AOS and testing it out with these rules. Namely they are distinguishing between elites and hordes, infantry and cavalry, unmounted and mounted heroes and so on with each generals handbook. I can imagine the next iteration of Age of Sigmar's rules distinguishing more between these various battlefield roles than they do currently.
  20. If not a second wave of Votann maybe a Kill Team that has an upgrade sprue
  21. James Workshop's reaction to Xmas automation rumours:
  22. I'd be honoured, I have attempted a number of schemes but also wanted to develop something to contrast my red and white Slaves to Darkness.
  23. Some times you gotta have things fall to chaos the old fashioned way... by gluing on a ton of spikes! But the sad truth is that it is kind of the only chance I will be able to afford a second army and i love having an additional army to play with friends. I would much prefer whatever else is in the box but my cousin who I play against most has leagues of Votann and doesn't want to double down on power armour. It is also how I have my backlog of Stormcast but I actually like those models a lot more. Here are my nerdy photoshop mock ups for both projects. Just imagine both painted much, much worse: If my finances dictate my army choices I just like the idea of doing my own take on the theme. If I get my current work contract renewed then I am going to go with a different plan though 🤑
  24. I keep thinking of how amazing it would be for sisters to get the push for tenth. Still power armoured heroes and they are really pushing them to the fore lately. Sisters vs Tyranids would be such a cool and fun box! They can even go back to Space Marines in the future but just for the 10th edition doing something special would be great! I also think that Chaos Space Marines should be the Space Marine side of a starter set one day. Then they could feature another Imperium faction in the starter set. But I am inclined to believe the rumours and think it will be even more Space Marines this time fighting bugs. I think that they are doing it as a cross promotion with the Space Marine game knowing it will bring more interest to the hobby. I have even discussed with a friend that I might be willing to split the next Starter Set and finally play my least favourite faction so he can get some bugs... but I at least came up with a paint scheme I like for them and lore wise I will 100 percent make them the villains.
  25. This poses an interesting dilemma as they claimed folks would be able to use their old WHFB armies in the new game but I guess that won't apply to named characters?
