  1. They just feel like such an important part of fantasy and world mythology. I think that the best use of Unicorns would actually be either as an incarnate or as a mount for Tyrion but I doubt that will be the case.
  2. Easy solution: Unicorns! Not in terms of the traditional smaller unicorns with deer hooves, goat beards and lion tails but modern horse with a spiral horn unicorns. Then give the option to build them with or without the horn. Boom high fantasy IP friendly AOS models that can be built as traditional cavalry. But in all seriousness I think that they will have traditional horses based on what I feel was likely part of the barding of a horse and the other more human appearance of the models we have seen thus far.
  3. I am really loving the rumours for the Cities Book. I was worried they'd loose the cosmopolitan approach to having different fantasy races. I think the loss of Wanderers is unfortonate but there was a ton of pre built redundancy and now you can run your wood elves as which ever Aevlen unit that fits the bill. It also gives me hopes of a Kurnothi expansion down the line. I hope that this initial wave covers all the pre-requisit free-guild/iron weld units that are needed for the book and future updates can tie the Aelves and Duardin into a slightly more unified aesthetic. I do not hope for the same armour or clothing but just for the ability to share iconography across the Aelves, Duardin and Humans. I assume in terms of waves it will be 1st Humans, 2nd Aelves and finally 3rd Duardin. As much as it would irk many Longbeards it would also let them continue to develop the Duardin lore and aesthetic before rushing them to print. Either way I am happy to see a coalition of different peoples united for the forces of order. It was always a little sad that the ostensible villains of the narrative were the most internally diverse faction(s) in the game. I cannot afford to even think about starting a Cities army but maybe a unit of Sisters of the Watch/Shadow Warriors plus a hero and Long Beards plus a hero as coalition allies to my Stormcast will give me a chance to have a fun painting project.
  4. I think in my experience Fyreslayers aren't unpopular they are simply somewhat divisive. Most people I know either really like them or dislike them. I personally really like them, although I do not love GW's choice of having them all have the same hair colour and skin tone as it does make them feel overall much more monotonous. I also wish they had more unit variety as the majority of the army consists of heroes that which cannot all be fielded at once. I still would like to see some expansions on the theme.
  5. Wow I am so impressed by that AOS cosplay! I think that more fan community material like that would help grow Age of Sigmar dramatically. Unfortunately I have a lack of confidence, ability, funds and looks to pull off a cosplay... Then again if they reintroduce Throgg the Troll King I already have the face for it!
  6. I am getting more an more worried about the Imperial Knight Box I am eyeing... It is already going to cost a pretty penny to toss a bunch of chains and spikes on them
  7. Actually a Stormkeep is a really obvious setting that I had not considered interestingly enough.
  8. Yeah that is my exact feeling, I am particularly interested in building boards for the interior decks of large wooden battleships, and fortress for some siege style narrative play.
  9. Sooo we are saying that the Seraphon Templeship crashed into Skaven city and that our campaign will take place in the corridors of a templeship leading into a massive cavernous skaven city? Sold!
  10. This is brilliant and I would love to see it. I can also totally imagine the Dawn Bringers and their Imperialist push into the realms resulting in some Temple Guard on an abandoned ship showing them that there is more than Chaos in the lands they are trying to claim.
  11. I have not strayed far outside of the Rulebook, Tomes and a few Campaign books. I feel like this upcoming Chaos black library novel might be my first.
  12. I could imagine this being a cool way to introduce Grombrindal into the game, like a heroic version of the Vashtorr the Arkifane reveal. This would also be a cool way of bringing Chaos Dwarfs into the lore. 🤩
  13. Hey folks, I have been really interested in the idea of Arks of Omen and how it could translate into Age of Sigmar. For those unfamiliar it is the upcoming narrative event in 40k with an emphasis of close quarters fighting on abandoned space vessels. The idea is for smaller scale 500 point battles and excluding larger scale vehicles and models. Each time a preview has been shared I have seen ideas swirling in the Rumour thread, and thought it might be fun to ponder what an Age of Sigmar equivalent might entail. Would you like to see an updated Mordheim with combat in abandoned and barricaded streets? Winding corridors of a Silver tower? The mines, caverns, caves or dungeons of duardin, skaven or gloomspite gitz? The decks of a mighty Arkanaut Battleship? What would you like to see for a similar system for AOS and what narrative event would best drive it?
  14. Don't get my hopes up Centigors are an absolute favourite of mine... I might grab them for Marauder Horsemen at the very least although I am still contemplating BoC for Oldworld.
  15. Chaos Ogors here we go! Now that I say that maybe a 'gutplate' or pauldron for a Shaggoth? I have a feeling it will likely be tied to Warcry or Arks of Omen as I can't think of much else Undivided in the pipeline. Do they use the Eightpointed star in 3OK?
  16. I thought the rumour was that Blood Angels were tied to the next edition? Has there been updates on that and are we too far off for a preview of 10th during the holiday season? I do not really follow 40K rumours beyond trying to find out if we will get Dark Mech before I shrug and go halves on 10th edition's starter set. I personally feel like this year's Advent Calendar will be a mix of stuff ,but there will be an emphasis on AOS as they build to 10th Edition. Of course that might simply mean a lot of teasers for single hero models unfortunately.
  17. I am now hoping that Morghur at least gets a Kragnos/Vashtorr Styled End of Edition release. But we also need a new Shaggoth. Between Ogroids and Kragnos I feel like GW was working on a massive Beast rework and then divided the units between other factions... 😢
  18. Between Yarrick and now Valten I am pretty happy with Chaos taking down the heavy hitters. Although it took a mighty demon prince to take down the man with the robot hand and an angry Goat to take down the Chosen of Sigmar 😆
  19. Fun preview but on the AOS side was nothing special unfortunately: The early hour is definitely impacting the quality of the presentation. 40k: Worldeaters: Eightbound are totally my jam, cool mutants with some cool weapon and cybernetic attachments. Jakhals are even cooler, I think they have a lot of appeal for showing off the non-marine side of chaos and for someone better than me can probably kit bash them for AOS. Lord on Juggernaught- Still cool and will work for AOS with the rider switched out. Still not my favourite Chaos faction but I am pretty darn impressed with the reveals. Arks of Omen: Cool artwork and love the concept of this event/campaign. Vashtorr is my homie and I really hope we get darkmech! I am really into this boarding action theme and hope we get dungeon crawler or city/siege rules. Unfortunately despite my excitement my new Knights don’t fit in and I will likely never play it Vashtorr: Will be Vashtorr in 40K and Hashut in AOS! I am still hoping for Darkmech. But I feel like my entry into a 40k infantry army will likely be Chaos Space Marines or a HH Fallen/Dark Angel Army. But I still hope we get Darkmech. AOS: Beasts of Chaos: Love the battle tome art! Utterly devastated at the single model but pleased by the new Beastlord and even greater video. The Beastlord will lead my Old World army and get some square based love in AOS! Should have been a Shaggoth or Morghur! Gloomspite Gitz: HYPE! So fantastic and better than I expected! I do not play Goblins but maybe I should! Might grab some for my Beastclaw army as some additional frost kitties for which I am already proxying Wolves. Battle tome road map: Not an exciting reveal but maybe the best one in the long run, many thanks! Underworlds: Grinkrak: Fun and favourable as always with Underworlds. I do not even begin to guess at how Gitz players pick their generals at this point! Was hoping for Spiders to be honest. Badmoon shields are great. Characterful and hilarious hard not to love! Necromunda: Cawdor: Classic these are the best models I have ever seen and will forget about by tomorrow. Overall:I am happy that I had my expectations in check and there were some awesome reveals although I doubt barring Darkmech getting a release through Vastorr that I will be grabbing anything. I look forward to the Gitz the most though and I am still excited by the Arks of Omen but hope AOS gets an equivalent.
  20. This was mentioned in the Rumour Thread but lost between the speculation of tonights reveals: Updates for Lumineth and Son's FAQ https://www.warhammer-community.com/faqs/#warhammer-age-of-sigmar Plus there should be tournament news from tonights event that I can imagine being important for GW's new approach to balance.
  21. Is it weird that I absolutely adore the idea of 40k Beasts? Like I would throw down for them 100 percent. Although I am starting to realize that if AOS and Old World are truly model compatible that I am almost 100 percent going to run Beasts in that system.
  22. Whitefang seems to agree, I must admit the new Necromunda stuff has been absolute aces. I wish that 40k was a little more punk rock like Necromunda or how it was in the early days. I do have a lot of hope that Dark Mech will take from Tetuso the Ironman or Tetsuo from Akira and be a really shockingly body horror influenced army (what is up with people named Tetsuo becoming cybernetic monsters). Or maybe I am still unconsciously working through the emotional rollercoster of Titane and need Dark Mech to help me through it. I think that we might get a new Beast hero and a Dual Box for Beasts and Gloomspite annonced. But I am still hopeful that they will get a larger updated release like Slaanesh got with Shadow and Pain.
  23. L-R: So flail user looks interesting and I cannot place it maybe Necromunda. The next one looks like our underworld Goblin, then the Arkifane and a Worldeater. The lack of Beasts of Chaos worries me.
