That is amazing. I hope to find something equivalent for my Slaves to Darkness (still leaning towards creature caster). But if I ever start an undead army I may have to follow suit. I will also recommend it to my cousin who just started Legions of Nagash. As for the rumour engine. I keep posting about it but I want Oxyotl in AOS!

I am thinking I might bite on one of the creature caster demons as possible Chaos proxy. They also have a Nagash looking thing but I am not 100 percent on the scale of their models. If I find anything else I will let you know. 😄

More than anything I am hoping the Mega Gargants come with a clearly mutated Chaotic head and a zombified or partial skull head. I just adore the idea of running these guys as both a part of other alliances and also their own army. I think the current heads look great for both Order and Destruction I would just like something to fit the other two allegiances. I know some people are not fond of the salvaged icons (such as the Khorne emblem), but I love the idea of the giants selling their services and even identifying with their employers only to meet up with other Gargants and wrecking house.

As fun as more terrain would be, I assume whenever the Idoneth get an update (wether in 2nd edition or further afield) it will likely drop the references to other Etheric vortex terrain. I would be happy to be proven wrong as I think there are lots of cool terrain pieces that would fit the army but I do not see that level of support going forward. As of right now, I think that we will likely see an update through Warcry and eventually in Underworlds. I also think when AOS gets through all the planned armies we will have some kind of Psychic Awakening style expansions and the books that came out just prior to or right after second edition will be first to be updated.

What I see: New Idoneth crab model. As someone that just got into the faction this will be impossible as that is not how my luck works. What it will be: 40K monster throw back like the Zoat. Or misc. detail on Kraken Eater. What I hope: New Lumineth crab hat!

I just hope that if the Lumineth have all been revealed that we haven't seen all the different hat options have yet. We can have hats corresponding to all the elements and Tyrion is just Teclis in a different hat. They will be like an army of Malibu Stacy!

As an Idoneth player I love this idea and may have to steal it, for financial reasons. I also think that undead could do the classic digging out of the ground look. A massive zombie breaching the soil would look so cool. Although, I am sad that the chest seems to be one of the reused pieces of the Gargant. As it seems like the natural place for it to wade through water, lava, nurgle filth.

It looks to be a trophy in the form of a rather large shield. There is mixed iconography strapped to most of these guys. I do hope that there is enough of such pieces to help these giants fit into various factions. But at this point it seems pretty extraneous to the giants lore.

Initial Thoughts: this was the best online preview of the three. AOS/Warcry/Bloodbowl:: The Giants look amazing, I might have to build a Gate-Smasher for my Slaves to Darkness and a Kraken Eater for my Idoneth. Then I will be halfway to a full Sons of Behemat army. It would be a waste of money not to do this 😇. The new Khaine models are amazing I cannot even begin to contain my excitement for Malerion's eventual release. The new Luminth model is fantastic but so much of the model has been leaked that it felt like a let down after the awesome Sons and Khaine models. Snotling team is weird... but I like them. If I ever play Ogor Mawtribes I might mix a few of them in with the Gnoblars. 40K/Blackstone Fortress/Horus Heresy:: That Necron model is the coolest thing they showed off. I also quite like the inquisitor but nothing can compete to the utter madness of a spider robot tearing someone's psychic powers from their body. I love the Sisters of Battle aesthetic and so the cartoon and new model appeal to me but as someone that likes 40k from the outside not as tempting as the Necron. The terminator librarian looks so disproportionate and weird so my least favourite reveal. I was just thinking of getting into the Blackstone Fortress and this release seems pretty neat. I doubt I would get it personally but those models are awesome. Horus Heresy is just some dude... neat if you like that dude I guess? Overall I really liked everything and I am excited to learn more about the Sons, the Khaine warband and hopefully see more Necrons.

I want those Daughters/Dark Elf models so badly. Might convert them to chaos...

They look fantastic, way better than I expected. I am deathly tempted by this army... Luckily, I am dissuaded as I doubt I am good enough to paint these SoBs!

Although it is possible that this rumour engine portends a new chamber or devotees, could it not also signal some individual release which Stormcast seem to get with such great frequency?

Henry Cavill for Thanquol!!! I would like him to play a villain such as Horus or Abaddon. He is so often cast as the handsome broody hero lets see him stretch a little.

I want the remaining High Elves in the Cities range to be useable with the Luminith. However, I would like the Idoneth and Lumineth to have special allegiance rules with one another.

Between the name Warstomper and the Ale-Guzzler's Stuff ’Em In Me Bag rule. I think it would be interesting if this army had various rules about killing specific targets within units and disrupting unit cohesion. I doubt that would be their sole play-style but I do think it would be specific and different. I have a feeling that the idea of fleeing villagers will not be a proper unit. If they get rules as some suggested I think they would be more like a bloat toad. An additional model that will have added effects but is built into the points cost of the giant itself. Maybe they will have a negative impact on the enemies leadership as they run in terror from the giants... Also will the Sons have any form of magic/magical support?

@CDM Hahaha, clearly my influence for wanting varied sizes for the Sons of Behemat range was more obvious than I had hoped.

I hope that we get three new kits out of this: The smallest one will be the equivalent of the Sons of Behemat Armigers. The Aleguzzler would be mid sized and a second kit around the same size (hopefully larger) will be released. Finally, a massive centre piece which I want to tower above giants will be available. I think it would add some visual dynamism to the army.

Thoughts on the preview: Lumineth Box: Looks fantastic but I must resist having just bought into their Souless Sea cousins. I will say that it was disapointing to have a portion of the reveal spent on models that I have already seen but the associated artwork is fantastic. Horus Heresy: Look neat but I have little frame of reference so they look like angry red Space Marines. Blood Bowl: Again no context, but I hope to encounter these tree dudes as proxies in some Sylvaneth armies. LOTR: Man I love those rangers and the Quest of the Ringbearer sounds cool but I keep promising myself to resist. Angels of Death: It looks really cool but when it wasn't Battlefleet Gothic I was immediately saddened Sons of Behemat: Finally! I was disappointed by the lack of models but that one image of a giant using a tower as a weapon makes me very excited for this range. Psychic Awakening Pariah: Sounds cool and has some of the more interesting 40k armies attached to it. I love the new character models and look forward to hearing about the expansion. Overall: I think this week had bigger news but was less impact for me personally. This comes from the fact that many of the reveals were not tied directly to new models but simply cool animation clips and campaign books. I am glad that they said there is more to be revealed as I am hankering for new whilst being bored stiff during this period of isolation.

I would be slightly less annoyed with a Psychic Awakening type deal with AOS as the warscrolls are online and it would hopefully not invalidate our current books and rules. If it were simply a supplement updating warscrolls and point costs, I would be less worried about losing out on potential new battalions and artifacts as long as I could incorporate any new units or changes to old ones into my existing armies without feeling pressured to buy the new book.

Once again thanks for the suggestions. I think that I will at the very least try this idea out as a Warcry Warband before expanding it to a full fledged army.

@xking @Deepkin I am loving these suggestions, I might even make an army of converted highlander Destruction Dwarves! I have my Chaos and Order armies already so this could be my next project waaay down the line. Also I will use the Fyreslayers, as a base but I might try and remove their Ur-Gold Runes... 🤔

I think the aesthetic of Berserker dwarves lends itself to destruction but you are right that it would require a lot of narrative reshuffling and explanation. Maybe we could have an off shoot of the Fyreslayers that began to worship Gorkamorka.

Ever since I started following this game I have wanted dwarves for each grand alliance: Order already has them, Destruction dwarves might be to close to Fyerslayers so I say switch their grand alliance, Chaos dwarves with an emphasis on demon bound artillery like the hellcannon, then an army of undead dwarves could be something novel and interesting.

Much to everyones chagrin, I keep on pushing forward the idea that Malerion is being corrupted by Slaanesh. I think that it would be an interesting narrative to have him think that he could supplant Slaanesh and bring order to chaos, while actually playing into Slaanesh's hand. Furthermore, it would cause tension with his former allies particularly his mother.
