So I noticed that the mortek guards on the app have a picture of a unit of 20. While all the other units on the app seem to have a pic with their minimum squad size... I wonder if that lends some credence to the idea that their boxes being 20 models?

I'm more all in on the looks for them, and their neat synergies. How do you think they will compare to LoN or other death factions?

Hey all, I know it's a bit premature but I wanted to go ahead and start this up ahead of time. Mainly to give me motivation to paint and continue to paint this boney boys once I have them. The inspiration I had for this army's scheme came from, unsurprisingly, Lord Marrowgar of Icecrown Citadel fame. I always loved the ethereal blue glow coming out of the bones. And since @Sception made a mock-up of the crematorium scheme, but blue instead it really made me desperately want to try and create that. I'll either be trying the black bones, with the blue inner glow or standard bones with the blue glow. I'll do a test model of either to see which I would prefer to kill myself over doing for all of them. For the base, i'm thinking a rocks and snow. And the weapons, most likely am going to try xerus minis iceblade recipe. Unless that might be a bit too much on the blue side?

Yeah, I'm pretty glad that I went half on two boxes with someone else in my area.

That's so crazy to me that the battleline is so expensive. Unless there somehow more than ten in that box.

Like fantasy necrons? Honestly, yeah I think they would look pretty cool! I'm still struggling with my scheme ideas too. Trying to decide if blue glowing bone color skeletons would look good, or if i should go with that black bone and blue. I'm a big fan of oxidated bronze

I can't watch duncan's video at work, but would something like nuln oil work to darken the colors down? Or do you think that would mute the fire too much?

Oh wow!!! I really like this look, I was originally going to go with a regular bone color instead of black bones but I also really like this! Thanks a ton for doing the mock-up! Do you think regular bone would still look good?

I see your point about it being tedious. I've thought about maybe just doing the eyes. Once i get my hands on them i'll try a test model, see how much of a hate i'll have for it lol. I really dig your red/black tomb king scheme though, I think it'd look very good on the reaper models!

I'm thinking of something like the Crematorian scheme. But with ivory bones, maybe the dark grey (or black) trim bones, navy armor (like the mortis armor), and a very icy blue glow instead of the fire. Along with ice weapons. Though i hope that wont be TOO much blue going on haha.
