Total noob here, but given that you bring a corpse cart, wouldn't it be better to field a horde of 60 zombies to go along it than the grave guard? It's 40 points less and fits well with the theme

That makes total sense, and in fact this morning I wrote Salvat asking how the delivery was going to be, and they just answered just that. From now on, we'll get 4 issues per package. And the tool, yup, definitely are side snips. I missed the name. I'm not profficient on english tool names apart from the usual ones 😄

My package for march just arrived here in Spain. 3 issues, numbers 6, 7 and 8, bringing the Thorns of the briar queen, the Celestar ballista and some paints. Also they have sent the first special gift, consisting in tweezers, glue and mold line remover. Strange, I expected 4 issues....

This month i'll relax and procastinate a bit, but first things first, I must finish the 3 Myrmourn Banshees I left half finished in february. After that, I will paint Xandria Azurebolt from the Mortal Realms magazine collection, with extra effort and care. Every now and then I'll dedicate some time to a Treelord Ancient that was too much for my 9 year old kid and is unfinished (and a bit dirty painted, poor kid 😅). I'll probably combine that with a pack of 4 Glaivewraith Stalkers, wich i'm pretty sure I won't finish this month. Lastly I plan to build and prime a Mortis Engine. Also I'll build and prime the next figures from the Mortal Realms collection, Thorns of the Briar Queen and some 8 stormcast something so my kid can play with them. So to recap, that's finishing 3 unfinished minis, painting a mini with extra detail, advancing or hopefully finishing an unfinished behemoth, building and priming 15 minis and another behemoth... 😱 Probably I'll leave the Glaivewraith Stalkers for april, that way I may finish the Treelord so my kid has it finished to play 🤣

Which issues? (just to compare the pace) Here in Spain we have received issues 1, 2, and 3 in january, 4 and 5 in february and is spected that, from now on, they come in packs of four, delivering on the middle of the month. That would mean issues 6 to 9 in march (15 minis and 3 paints)

I clearly underestimated the pain that are the details of the sculpted bases of the banshees (compared to "nothing" of the regular ones) so I've only completed one banshee, with the rest half done. But on the bright side, I changed how I do my bases (the sand part) and it's quicker with even better results, so I've based not only all chainrasps, the hexwraiths and the corpse cart, but also Arkham and 16 dryads I painted with my kid several months ago and lacked basing. So i've painted 11 minis and based a total of 43 (not counting the painted banshee). That's a win for me 😁 Now, the photos. This month I'm going to be more ambitious, so I have already started. I've got 10 Chainrasps and 4 Myrmourn banshees already built and primed. I will try to paint and base all that, and also base the work from last two months, meaning a corpse cart, 5 hexwraiths and another 10 Chainrasps. That means painting 14 models and "finishing" a total of 30. Crossing fingers! 🤞

I like your base and how it poses in the end on it. I did a similar project with Mannfred, after mounting Arkham on the Abyssal Terror, for a vampire lord on foot. I plan to, at some point, buy a second Start Collecting to mount the vampire mortarchs (magnetized to be able to mount both) and will use Arkham as a wight king, doing what you did (or maybe finding him a proper mount 😊) Great work!! 🙌

I managed to complete my plegde again, even tho with Xmas i've had less time 😅 Finished the hexwraiths and painted a unit of 10 Chainrasps from the Mortal Realms collection. I managed to get a total of 8 issues from several shops (not more than 2 at a time, to not dry any, even on one that had around 30 in a box) so I have 70 more chainrasps to paint, for two blobs of 40. Sorry for the quality of the photo. Not a very good phone 😓

Yesterday I got the first package of my premium subscription (in Spain). Perfectly packaged. Sprues are well protected (same plastic cover as number 1) and the brush (issue 2) has a cap, tho it looks a bit crappy.

This year’s activity in the painting hobby is going to be guided by Mortal Realms collection, for which i have subscribed (including the premium subscription available here), so I have some days to finish off the hexwraiths I already started last month before I buy some number 1 kits (want 4 for a full unit of 40 chainrasps). Out of them I’d like to finish a first 10 chainrasp horde unit in addition to the hexwraiths. I wont be able to keep up with the collection, for sure, even focusing on the nighthaunt units. I’ll leave the Stormcasts for now 😓

Right on time, just before the month ends (I have been painting this morning) I completed the promised corpse cart and 3/5 hexwraiths (horses not finished, but riders are). I started with those before doing also the black knight parts. These are the photos of the corpse cart (even one guiding the boys). And these are the semi-completed hexwraiths. December is going to be tought because of family events, but i want to end the corpse cart an 3 to 5 black knights, magnetized to be able to use them as hexwraiths. The mortis engine from the malignants set will have to wait, because in january the Mortal Realms collection starts...

Ok, I completed the objectives in the contract. Spirit Hosts finished, and the corpse load of the cart is done (photos of this not ok because my phone is bad 😁). The cart itself is only primed with brown spray paint from Vallejo.

Anyway, we can run Legion of Grief instead of Nighthaunt with all this, right?

True. I thought the Mortis Engine was nighthaunt. Probably. Otherwise, it would make no sense.

Hi, I'm still new to this, with only 1070 points in AoS Death painted, but I find this thread funny and interesting. Apart from those 1070 points, I'm now almost halfway of a box of Dire Wolves, wich I plan to finish across october. I've got 6 and a half wolves to go.
