  1. Guys. Im slowly building a duardin heavy list with great joy. I am a bit perplex though about ironbreakers vs longbeards. Which ones do I use? Or a both staple in a 2k list? I can see the difference on paper ofc but not sure who performs best. Happy for all help!
  2. I see. Can I disembark first and then fly high?
  3. Would some kind soul explain the disembark rules to me? I feel a bit lost here honestly. Can I fly high and then disembark? Or do I have to stand still in the same movement phase to disembark? /D
  4. Excellent. Do you happen to know the tactics behind it?
  5. Hey you wise Masters of Destruction. More lists incoming. I have a tournament next saturday at have singled it down to the following two lists. Pros and cons on both of course. It's my first tournament and I'm not super competetive to be honest. But I want a well functioning list anyways. 1. Only Ogors. Gnoblars screen, Ironguts/Gluttons pile in 6" and wreck face. Slaughtermaster buffs and Butcher snipes heroes/wizards with curse and voracious maw. 2. Butcher snipes heroes/wizards with curse and maw. Slaughtermaster buffs. Ironguts kill stuff. Frostlords move up and get objectives, solo or together. What do you guys think?
  6. Thanks for the reply. Very interesting. Im just bot sure what to drop to fit tje Admiral in. Thunderers on foot may not be needed but I like the models. 😁 Ill tweak further and see where I end up. Thanks!
  7. My thoughts exactly. My idea is to dump the embarked arkanauts turn 2 anyways and shoot another day elsewhere with the ironclad. Besides the battalion gives battleshock immunity same as Admiral so thats a bit redundant aswell.
  8. Yeah, ive been thinking the same thing about the Khemist. We will be playing without realm artifacts though. I think to place him just after a screen of arkanauts and beside a thunderer fumigator. So that's -2.
  9. So, I have a tournament coming up and will be playing KOs. I have decided upon the follwing list. Mainly playing to hold 3 objectives at all times and fly shenanigans for extra. Khemist with khemist supreme leads 20x arkanauts and 10x thunderers on home objectives. 20x arkanauts + navigator with pistol in Ironclad. Gunhauler + balloonmaster + endrinriggers follow Ironclad in the beginning and then branch out on their own to melee-snipe turn 2-3. No idea if this will work, but I like 20x arkanauts more than Thunderers in Ironclad. To deploy them on objective and move on if needed. What do you guys think?
  10. I would also like the final standings with lists. Is it available somewhere?
  11. Excellent collection. I am also hooked on the plastic addiction but have managed to stay within two armies. Both with new books so great fun ahead. Ogor Mawtribes 3x Tyrants (one is the new model) 1x Butcher 1x Slaughtermaster 26x Gluttons 10x Ironguts 16x Leadbelchers 4x Ironblasters 20x Gnoblars 1x Hunter 10x Frost sabres (Old fantasy wolf models though) 3x Stonehorns 1x Thundertusk 8x Mournfang Kharadron Overlords 1x Ballonmaster 3x Endrinmaster 1x Brokk 2x Khemist 1x Navigator 1x Admiral 50x Arkanauts 15x Thunderers 12x Endrinriggers 3x Gunhaulers 2x Frigates 1x Ironclad 1x Thunderik Profiteers Lots of plastic indeed.
  12. Hiya! I have two questions before my first tournament next month: Eurlbad battalion: Does the 6s to hit count on ALL attacks from the units. So both gargant hackers AND tusks? Metalcruncher: Do I use this at both mine and my opponents combat phases? (It only says "at the start of the combat phase") Thanks y'all!
  13. Hiya! Where can I find the results for Cancon and LVO? My googling has lead me nowhere. /D
  14. Quick question guys. Svaregg-Stein Illuminator Flarepistol: The first time the bearer's Pistol hit something, reroll all hit rolls for Kharadron Overlords against that unit for rest of phase. Can I hold of from shooting, can I choose not to shoot, with the navigator until I really need it? So I don't trigger it instantly!
  15. Hey guys. I will be playing a game tomorrow to train for a tournament in couple of weeks. I thought id try out the list above. I will be playing against Fyreslayers with the ususal lodge and shenanigans. Does anyone have any tactical tips for playing against the Fire dwarves? When I've played with similar lists in the past I just rush into everything and kill stuff more or less. But that seems to be really bad against blobs of dwarves. What would you suggest?
  16. The list is not mine. I just copied it from Tabletop. The spelling is unfortunate indeed.
  17. The first tournament result are in for Kharadrons. Tempest 2020 ended with Kharadron 35/44. 1 win and 4 losses. Ofcourse I dont know the tactics behind the list and the general skill of the tournament. It is fun though to peruse. The list seem quite weird to me without any thunderers and arkanauts in a Zilfin list. What do you guys think. This was the list used:
  18. Thanks for writing that up mate. What heroes did you have garrisoned?
  19. I´ve written about my experience with the new tome before. I have now played about 25 games in total and starting to get a grip of what works and what doesnt. Underguts lists work good, but as I said earlier it is a bit clunky to position the 4 blasters in optimal places. But it's great fun. By far the best list in my experience is the following: I have mixed and matched with battalions but this is what ive found out works best. I choose Boulderhead for the extra wound on FloSH and the super powerful tribe command ability to fight at top bracket on FloSH. It's fantastic. Let the Frostlords loose early. Buff them with entrails. Slaughtermaster uses cauldron twice to fish for 3-4 +hit on gluttons/ironguts. Then just go nuts really. FloSH with Ethereal wont die. Ever. It's awesome. Make sure you get charges and you are in good shape to win. Hope this helps somewhat. I will keep working on Underguts but for now this works really well.
  20. I think 4 is needed. With all buffs and CAs you get 8 shots +3 (heroes/monsters) +2/-2/d6. Although I hate d6 damage the amount of shots outweigh that. The minus though is moving all the blasters together, so they are very dependent on choosing sides carefully to avoid to much terrain. They move 9" though and that's fantastic. I did miss the FloSH for sure in the second list. Underguts feels like a sniping list with a meat wall. I don't have any gnoblars yet otherwise I would have used about 40 of them. Keep your blasters away from the enemy for sure.
  21. Hey guys! I have now played a solid four games with Mawtribes. Trying out two different lists. I played against Fyreslayers and Orruks, two matches each. I won 3/4 with one loss against Fyreslayers because of failed charge in combination with a severe tactical error on my part. Bloodgullet list Slaughtermaster, Butcher, Firebelly, 12x gluttons, Flosh with ethereal, 2x4 ironguts, 4x leadbelchers, Goremand and Balewind Vortex. This list won 2/2. The Firebelly is magical. -1 to hit bubble from Billowing ash is HUGE. Hard to cast sure, but amazing. Butcher on Balewind casting Blood Feast and Greasy deluge. Greasy + Billowing equals -2 to hit. Excellent. The Gluttons with Blood Feast destroyed a unit of 20 Ardboys straight away for example. I felt this list to be very strong and flexible. But most of all, a blast to play. Underguts list Tyrant (trophy rack), 4x Ironblasters, 2x6 leadbelchers, 12x gluttons, slaughtermaster, firebelly, extra command point This list was a little harder to get the hang of. But the potential is very big. I one shotted a Magmadroth and a Priest on turn one with the cannons. The leadbelchers didn't do that much but I think I was to offensive with them. Firebelly excelled here aswell but with Fiery Whirlwind. The ironblasters are a bit of a pain to move in conjunction with the tyrants 12" plus shot aura. I didn't get a chance to use Blubbergrub stench at all in the two games played. No charges was available and plausible. So Im not sure about that spell yet, might be better to just go with blood feast which I did game 2. Got much more value from that. With this list I comfortably won one game and lost 19-16 on victory points on one game. (Mainly because of a tactical error). Will be adding a Burning head in this list next time. So, hope that inspires someone! Ogors are super fun to play and I will keep trimming the lists. /D
  22. Right now in Stockholm Sweden. Krigsluntan 2019, a tournament with 97 players are taking place. After the first day and 3/5 games played, Mawtribes is number 1. He plays Bloodgullet with 3x12 Gluttons. Check out his list and the standings here. Honest Wargamer is also streaming on Twitch tomorrow. https://tabletop.to/krigsluntans-grandiosa-turnering-2019
