  2. Skyborne Slayers can be fun, the fact that you're going to drop everything at 5" of them makes people do some weir stuff, like when you say you've got the Prime in reserves :D. I used a combination of LCoSD, Celestant Prime and 6desolators. It was really fun and powerful. Most of the time I play around 1500/1750 though for I play in a GW. Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals Mortal Realm: Aqshy Leaders Celestant-Prime (340) Lord-Celestant on Stardrake (500) - General - Celestine Hammer - Command Trait: Staunch Defender - Artefact: Ignax's Scales - Mount Trait: Storm-winged Lord-Castellant (120) Knight-Incantor (140) Battleline 5 x Liberators (100) - Warhammer & Shield 5 x Liberators (100) - Warhammer & Shield 5 x Liberators (100) - Warhammer & Shield Units 6 x Desolators (600) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 95 You can swap 4 fulminators instead of the desolators if you want. You can remove the Knight and take an azyros, remove the LCosD and take a Drake templar, lots of variations
  4. It is viable. Yes it's expensive. But you need to play your SCE like the American Army fights a war : Attack massively on one point. Submerge your opponent with everything you've got. Make that Sob regret bringing his crappy army on the table, mwahahahaha. That's how I play

  8. @Turragor Always wanted to play that list, but felt it lacked in defensive capabilities :). Sure the wave is nice but it feels udnerwhelming compared to the never dying LCoSD
  9. But a Shootcast would have an easier time. 4 balistas + LO isn't fun when you're on the receiving end. The biggest problem with Stormcast for me is our inability to go first if we want to. We'll always end up deploying last, unless you play a 2000pts Skyborne slayers with no other units besides those of the batallion.
  10. Staunch Defender is usually a very good trait, but its useless on the charge. Depending on what yout play beside the Skyborne, Anvile stormhost Can bé very good. Or celestial vindicators
  11. To be honest, we can't really expect a 100 points hero to survive very long. If you can afford, an Errant Questor could to the trick ? Artifact wise, it's not really interesting to theorycraft, since the GHB will erase all of those we had in Malign sorcery. The pure SCE ones are garbage imho but I would use the armor of silvered steel if I had to. The mirror shield is nice but if you play it right, no shooting units should be able to be effective against him, especially when you combien LOS + protectors
  12. Skyborne slayers can be very effective though, when played by a skillfull general, but yeah, past the initial alpha, it's a slow grind that often doesn't go our way. I usually won because of abuse of terrain for better saves and good artifact seletion. Roark was using a complement of aetherwings and longstrikes to great effect.

  15. It's a pain in the ass though that Malign sorceries artifacts are being removed.
  16. It functions like the +1 to cast to friendly wizards of the drakes, instead that's for all friendly's with teclis. Also, using LRL battlelines + Teclis + a Drake would be fun, they would get + 2 to cast, + 1 to dispell.
  17. Yes you're right. I missed that. Ordered the box but still haven't received it. I feel like Teclis signature's spell are too powerful to pass up though . A 5++ on a drake (especially if we can still combine it with Ignax scales)and Eltharion ? Yes please.   18. Honestly, Teclis is way too strong to not take in a list. His MW splash spell does it in 18" around the caster. Imagine through a portal the damages it can do! Eltharion is also very good : cheap, tanky, Great MW output at distance. Great in melee. Almost an auto include. The problem I see is the Stormcast caster + meteore. IF we don't bring drakes, it's harder to cast. But if we do not bring another caster than Teclis, then drakes lose quite a bit of their utility. @Marcvs Why did you say that the Drakes ability is wasted on Teclis ? He can still benefit from their ability, albeit, when you already cast for sure at 10+ is there really a need to bring something that will give you 1+ ? Portal. SPLASHMW EVERYWHEEEEERE and then 5+ save around him. LE goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Comet. Drakes goes "I'm Raining meeen er shooting stars". Eltharion goes : I'm a ninja with shurikens. No more heroes in front of you. You win in 1Turn goodbye.
  19. Prblem is our troops are not efficient compared to what we can find elsewhere. Starplash is the new Starcast!
  20. You should try to Squeeze a regular Lord Celestant! He's also got a MW output at distance. Or a Knight Vexillor/Heraldor. They also got a MW output. I don't know for you guys, but to me, the most important thing is to get rid of heroes asap. If turn 1 you destroyed all enemy support heroes and damaged big monsters, it's almost over for the opponent.
