  1. Not sure if this was discussed in the past, but how good of a deal is the Craven King box set to flesh out a Nighthaunt army is currently? I see a lot of builds with Spirit Hosts around, etc. I really like the King's model though and I was curious how you guys saw that box set (at least there's no Glaivewraith Stalkers in it)
  2. Good morning everyone, A while ago I bought myself some NH stuff to start an army and it was before all the recent book releases. I had bought enough models to create a nice 1000pts list as a starting point. I saw some nice 1k lists in previous posts that are drastically different than mine and was looking for some input on: 1. How to play generally with my list? 2. Who to make general? 3. How to deploy? (ex. should I go with KoSoES and Bladegheist in the underworld all the time?) 4 And finally Where should I go from there in terms of army building? Here's my list: Allegiance: NighthauntLeadersKnight of Shrouds on Ethereal Steed (120)- General- Trait: Ruler of the Spirit HostsGuardian of Souls with Nightmare Lantern (140)Spirit Torment (120)Battleline3 x Spirit Hosts (120)10 x Grimghast Reapers (160)20 x Chainrasp Horde (160)Units10 x Bladegheist Revenants (180)Total: 1000 / 1000Extra Command Points: 0Allies: 0 / 200Wounds: 65 If some of you more experienced ghost boys could take some time to enlighten me, I would greatly appreciate it. Meanwhile, I'm doing my homework and listening to AoS Coach Nighthaunt Faction Focus
  3. Hi guys, I'm new on the Nighthaunt forum, I have a question regarding Dreadscythe harridans. I do appologize if this has been answered in the past, I couldn't find it. The Murderous Bloodlust ability on their warscroll mentions that if an unmodified wound roll of 6 happens, then that attack does 2 damage. I am wondering how it works for the opponent when he rolls to save. Which of the ''wound attacks'' does he save when he makes a save? The single damage ones or the double damage ones? For example, I roll to hit and make 3 of those. I roll for wounds and I make 3 of those but I have 2 sixes. So my opponent must save 3 at -1 rend. Let's say he saves 2 wounds. Which of the ''wound rolls'' has he saved? How do we determine the damage that transfers from the successes? I hope this makes sense
  4. Has anyone noticed how much stuff is just Out of Order on the Mawtribes sections n of the website? Furthermore, they took out the Great Mawpot from the Ogor Mawtribes section as well. What's up with that?
  5. not sure what causes these double post issues on my phone. I clear out my cache etc. I'm really sorry about this.
  6. Thank you so much for suggesting this. I just found perfect alternatives for a butcher. But I get even more Ogors and Gnoblars for the same cost as a single finecast, old butcher model.
  7. YeahI'll probably get only one kit too. You think they will release a new box with cats? I mean that'd be amazing, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Have they done a similar thing in the past?
  8. Anyone getting several copies of Hrothgorn’s Mantrappers, the new Icebrow Hunter from Undervault, to get the bad ass cats and Gnoblars? Gotta say all the sculpts look amazing in there. Any point to get many of those?
  9. Found some answers in early pages of the thread.
  10. Very interesting, thank you for sharing your insight. A while ago, there were talks that Underguts might actually secretly be the most competitive build in the book. Is this still a thought that people are sharing after trying it out? I thought it had been fixed in the FAQ? at least the Rhinox attacks, that is. I guess if it is guarded by a large group of gnoblars in junkmob, they would still be useful?
  11. I'm about to build my Scraplaunchers or Ironblasters from my FoB kits and am unsure which to build. I was listening to Warhammer Weekly analysis of the Mawtribes time and they seemed pretty sold on Scraplaunchers, including a Junkmob and that it was really cheap. I guess Scraplaunchers are more useful when your meta is full of large low armor chaff and that the Ironblasters are more suited to one shot single targets? I'm looking at using those in and underguts. Thoughts?
  12. Hey, thanks so much for this detailed process. I'll try to get these products.. I have questions though regarding the process of glueing back the mini on the base, if you don't mind. I have never done complex bases like this and I'm wondering... - Do you paint the mini without a base? Or you glue it to something to paint and then snap off? - How do you make sure that the mini is solidly glued to the base when you put it back? Isn't the surface very uneven with all the added stuff rocks, etc? How do we make sure there's enough surface contact? Finally, what type of glue do you use for maximum adherence? I always use the plastic glue that melts plastic together as I don't want my stuff to break. Could you share a bit about that?
  13. The main one I follow is Doom & Darkness. Amazing content creator, amazing guy, longtime player of Ogors. I suggest everyone here to check him out on YouTube. He posts batreps, analyses, etc. Another guy is HeyWoah. Him and Doom are both longtime Ogor players. HeyWoah is more BCR though. Doom lately has been preparing for Cancon and posting batreps consistently.
  14. I find it interesting that after the book, every key content creators were saying that BCR kind of got shafted by the new book and Gutbusters got really improved. Yet, all the winning lists I see in tournaments are almost entirely consisted of BCR and huge beasts. I'm following a few channels as well on YouTube that are specialized in Ogors because they've been playing them for a long time and it really seems BCR is the way to go in the current meta. As a new comer who also really likes the foot Ogors, I wish the Gutbusters side would also be at least as competitive as the BCR. Would be curious to hear what are your thoughts on this? Maybe I'm totally wrong, I often am. That being said, it's really amazing to see a Mawtribes player win with 5-0. Really happy for him and us.
  15. Here's a question about Gnoblars, GW website says that they come with square bases. Have they been updated to have round bases?
  16. Looks so good, dude. Love the skin variations. I really like your bases. Could you share how you did them? I'd like to do some nice bases on my future Mawtribes army (2020 project)
  17. Amazing insights man, thank you so much.
  18. Really appreciate everyone jumping in and commenting on the list. I was trying to make sense of the FoB box I have with a start collecting Beastclaw. I guess it's not focused enough and has many flaws I felt like Skal is just really useful for the ambush threat. I was listening to podcasts on faction focus and the guys were saying that they basically take the hunter and some cats as mandatory in almost every build now because the threat and potential of it is excellent (since we lack any sort of teleport) I'm also understanding from your comments that the list doesn't really need a Gluttons screen because Leadbelchers are basically gluttons but with guns. And I need more ironblasters. I was under the assumptions that ironguts were almost mandatory for strong hammer. I guess it's 8 irontguts or nothing? (For the bonus MW on charge?). Finally, indeed I need some kind of caster for buffs. Butcher on Balewind? Since my list is more "static" than pure melee one.
  19. Thank you guys for all the constructive feedback.
  20. I was thinking if using Mournfangs as either shock troop (with Huskard) or backfield/objective holders. Why would you say they are out of place?
  21. Hi guys, I'm trying to think of a list that would have shooting, hunter as ambush in skal and some BCR as well. Does that list make sense at all? If not, could you point out some blatant mistakes?
