  1. I agree a limited edition new crazy warscroll is absurd. However, there's no reason that they can't be more creative with their faction and unit choice than this... It could sound like we are being nitpicky but if you look at the last model release.... Seem familiar? Enough said with that pic, imo...
  2. The huge part simply says that players will be mad at points going up IF a battletome actually finally comes out, so instead they are completely ignoring that they are useless in the mean time. I don't mean to be rude or combative either, but it makes sense that the prior poster you are referring to wouldn't be satisfied with that as an option. Players are ALREADY "livid" that their faction has been dumped on for YEARS, so for those players these continued excuses are, well, inexcusable as GW has failed to meet expectations for those players as of yet (STD PLAYERS, RIP).
  3. At least they're still giving this faction updates
  4. Only in a compendium? The eldritch council / loremaster was in the latest GHB? If you're just talking about not being in a new battletome, that's something that needs to be fixed (and rumored to be fixed with 1.5 years).
  5. I guess for me it's less about games being perfect narratively- It's more that the general theme of these armies seemed violated when grand alliances are mixed to this degree. I look at it on the table and even if GW has reasonings and *some* lore behind it, my brain cannot compute it as anything other than a fanfic fantasy game- but that's just me it looks like!
  6. I definitely appreciate hearing a different take on this. It will certainly take some getting used to, to say the least!
  7. If the plastic Loremaster is a legacy model to you then what are resin bloodknights to you? This decision still makes zero sense to me thematically. The point was that I cannot bring in aelves outside of allies to play with the sylv but the sylvaneth are ok with hiring Chaos and bloodknights? Just does not make sense to me, at all.
  8. Anyone else find stuff like buffed deathrattle and bloodknights appearing in any army super immersion breaking...? Realizing that my Sylvaneth will be allowed to play with blood knights, but not a lore master....? The more I look at it, the more it seems like a cash grab...
  9. I would say 4 to 6 months for mass-point updates would be appropriate. The key thing to remember here is, points only change if there is something noticeably off in balance to the testers. So the more often they update points, the less things will need to be changed as they find balance. (Unless they plan to routinely release game-changing boxes and rules like they did with endless spell releases, then all bets on "finding balance" are permanently off).
  10. Anyone who saw the GHB video recall them mentioning anything noteworth that wasn't mentioned in the article?
  11. People hoping that GW would learn lesson from #2 😝
  12. Not to continue discussion on this matter but just to answer your question and I will stop there- Poisoned Wind Mortar Weapon team is one example of a warscroll missing from that set that you can’t find anywhere anymore at all and does not have points- even though sold in ‘AoS’ Spire of Dawn. If you still see it on your app you likely have not updated your app in a long time. Feel free to PM me if there’s still confusion. ——- Back on topic- if the Sylv June 29th rumour is true, it’s odd to me that GW wouldn’t announce the date at this point, if they’re actually sure. I mean, everything has been revealed and everyone is kind of awkwardly standing around since new Sylvaneth turned up as their official brick and mortar screen saver weeks ago. 😅
  13. Prime example of why I’ll always be a staunch defender of the position that, all factions and units that were sold in official “Age of Sigmar” boxes should be supported in Age of Sigmar. Anything less than that is pure misrepresentation at best, an outright scam at worst. Removing certain Spire of Dawn warscrolls completely from the game after so many people bought it.... Not good.
  14. I agree. I can’t help but feel GW does the “one at a time” drip feed to try to get people to buy into more factions to be honest. GW does however put a lot more into the battletomes than just rules, but that’s not an excuse to let the rules of certain factions fall off the planet for 50 years. Big company or not, they need a team dedicated to timely cross-faction updates. Not just for whoever they decide is the flavour of the month. GW is picking up their release schedule, but yet another GHB is being released where slaves, dwarves, elves, free peoples are in a completely neglected state, and even others like bonesplitterz and seraphon still need updates. Hopefully they’ll fix that in the coming year, but I’m obviously still skeptical based off choices I’ve seen made.
  15. While I totally respect people wanting their own tomes for their factions of choice, I hope I'm not alone in that I would rather see these factions finally viable and supported again regardless, rather than continue to be left without battletomes just because they're "outdated". Hopefully they will mostly keep the races in their specialized groupings, but some cross-over (for example sylvaneth and wanderers would have been great together) is totally acceptable to me. #SaveTheModels
  16. This appears true from what GW has confirmed so far. The only downside is that using 4-6 of the new trees is more flexible in shape than the equivalent of using 2 to 3 of the old citadel woods. That being said, 1 old tree base seems to be an exact match for 3 new trees.
  17. With all of the Egyptian-fitting forbidden power scenery, pyramids, etc, it is hardly a stretch of the imagination to see them trying to bring them in.
  18. What’s with this pretentious attitude and why is this community so toxic against those sharing their legitimate concerns? If you think they’re wrong, you can just explain why they shouldn’t be so worried without bashing and vitriol. The fact a post with this attitude was heavily “upvoted” is disappointing. GW isn’t bothering to update rules for factions without battletomes either, without releasing at least 1 new model now. I personally don’t believe that giving more support (at least rules and keeping warscrolls) for all factions sold under the AoS brand would be bad business. I think it would be a good business decision to support the health of the game as a whole, not just the popular/ recent bits and pieces. Just because you weren’t interested doesn’t mean other people were not. Again part of the issue could be things like mist-weaver saih have no factions and therefore cannot be allied without breaking allegiances. To some people, it is perfectly reasonable to suggest they are “not supported” if they were not tied to a faction. They are floating in limbo. People have different expectations of support. This wouldn’t necessarily even be a problem if GW didn’t routinely get rid of other things to “make room” His concern was that if these were just stand-alone for the boxed games only. Sure we have heard they may be “slaves” but GW hasn’t bothered to explain what’s really going to be happening. Will they actually be core to a new std battletome? Will they just be add-ons like underworlds warbands which are usually quite bad to use in AoS (most factions)? We don’t know. There’s no need to be so dismissive of someone’s concerns and labeling him just as “whining”. The thing is, actually agree with you on this part!
  19. How will taking an extra TLA give you more wyldwoods? Only one TLA can use silent communion
  20. Good point but you'd think that if LORE wise the head of the clan (TLA) is supposed to synergize with their fellow lore masters (other TLA) then they'd actually give them warscrolls too that synergize with multiple being on the same field, instead of literally getting in each others' way...
  21. So can someone explain... 1 ) What is the merit of ever running 2 TLA at 300 points each? Their spell as well as their silent communion do not stack.. So why would you? 2) Because of number 1, why the heck didn't they make Lords of the Clan 2-4 Treelords and 1-3 Treelord Ancients, instead of the other way around? All of a sudden that battalion would have actually been decent. Are you guys just forcing it into your lists because you want more artefacts?
  22. Those blood bowl elves do not even look like wood elves... Why tentacles and yellow? And yet GW completely removed the way more recent Poisoned Wind Mortar Weapon Team Warscroll.............
  23. I don't. 40k does. Forge World does. Forge World for Age of Sigmar even does. I'm not saying they should be key to the army or featured in battletomes, but there's no reason to remove the keyword. The most competitive things will always be the things featured in battletomes. Even if it's still competitive: A) GW can balance the points. Again, 40k and FW do it. B) Tournaments can make their own decisions about OOP rules C) The unit can be converted or obtained as a collector's item. Again, tournament decision on how to handle that but no reason for GW to get rid of the rules.
