  1. Hey sorry I've been on holiday! Ok so its tough to remember the exact recipe since they were done so long ago but to my best recollection: Black Undercoat Codex Grey/Bleached bone 50/50 base Druchii Violet shade More grey/bone as a highlight, adding in more bone depending on the skin tone desired. Final hightlight (very minor) - dead white
  2. It could count as the number of models as its current wounds to keep the degrading effectiveness theme. I am sure there are other methods but these feel like easy fixes
  3. The terrain is plastic see the sprue here
  4. No Regal vision for me, those ploy slots are so contested! I've played 3 games this week and 2 occasions I was able to score it. One was a Great Strength Grimnir and the other being an Inspired Maegrim and Tefk charge into a model.
  5. Running this a few times and I found that it is unlikely to gain the upgrades in the order you need (Spirit bond then War Song) and if you need to ditch your opening hand you could lose one or the other and neuter the effectiveness of the combo. Particularly if Spirit bond is discarded as War Song is essentially a junk card. Blazing soul is great, alongside Upper hand (if Upper Hand can break 0 - 0 success ties). Spike is easily scored with great strength on Grmnir or Concealed weapon/other damage boosts on Tefk.
  6. Will Champions all be considered similarly to Massive assault and other score immediately cards that you can score if you met the condition prior to drawing that card in the round? Looking at the others that do, they all are accumulating type score immediately types (e.g. Mas.Assault - 7 damage, Slayer - 3 enemies killed etc...) and not condition type (i.e Strong Start - 1st kill)??
  7. Thanks, its actually this conversation with you that has stopped me straying into the Dankhold caves.... So I ran some numbers through Warband odds and it does seem that Inspired Spirit of War Fjul would have the same odds of succeeding vs 1 dice shield opponent as Inspired Potion of Rage (PoR) Fjul would (85%). PoR Fjul would of course have a greater chance of getting a crit. Ordinarily Inspired Fjul hits 1 shield opponents 65% of the time. Either option gives a straight up boost of 20% (I'm not factoring any rerolls into this) Spirit of War Fjul vs 2 dice dodge looks like a 66% success rate vs PoR Fjul's 72%. Without these options our Inspired Fjul is only likely to hit 2 dodge opponents 47% of the time so these boosts look very useful. I imagine upgrade slots/objectives will swing it whether either/both PoR and Spiritbond/all three upgrades make it into your deck. For completeness: Spiritbond Inspired Fjul vs 1 Shield: 77%, up 12% Spiritbond Inspired Fjul vs 2 Dodge: 57%, up 10% Disclaimer - I play against Skaven a lot so I just used their stats (My entry into the book of grudges is long on the topic of Lurking Skaven...)
  8. Chosen Axe's secret tech? Combining Spiritbond with War Song. Grimnir equips Spiritbond and chooses Vol. Vol equips War Song which makes him count as 2 supporting fighters. This could see some use as spirit bond is helpful for Grmnir who is often out numbered (but never outgunned 💪 😎) and War Song, while never making it into a single deck I've built could be a nice bonus depending on how free you are with the upgrade slots. Does the fusion of the two turn Fjul Grimnir into the Spirit of War? or is it more of a Song bond, shared between two drunks reminiscing over the 'Good ole days' before waggling fingers was considered a skill.
  9. Please say that Archer's focus is to re-roll a success to aim for a failure 🤣 Its one way to mitigate the slowness of the Fyreslayers, but I'd rather leave that nonsense to the cogboys.
  10. Its almost like it wants us to play Dark Darts!
  11. Definite seasonal vibe going on there, was that intentional?
  12. Very interesting takes @WathLab thank you for sharing! Totally agree on the Fjul risk, missing that 2 dice first attack is a game clogger! I find myself trying to load up on ploys to allow re-rolls/extra dice and hoping they appear in the first 2 hands. As I practise opening hand plays I found myself ditching 3+ Upgrade hands almost instantly because I feel the Axes need the ploys so much more than other cards in order to start the game well. You don't have to reveal your deck but I'm curious which defensive cards you take? I currently run Rebound, Ur-Gold boon, Vamp. Weapon , +1 Fjul defence and debating on adding a Great Fortitude in to help vs Gloryseekers.
  13. I understand that option C is correct as Sourtongue does push three hexes in his own Loony way, but what about option A if the opposing fighter only gets pushed once/first time. The push has completed (for that fighter). The question is.... Is a push, within a push, a push? Thanks for this brain teaser Mirror Move, thanks a lot 🤣🤣
  14. Can mirror move be used to counteract the Fanatic? Mirror move Reaction: Play this after an opponent pushes a fighter. Choose a different fighter and push them the same number of hexes Sourtongue action states that you scatter 4 and push 3 hexes along the chain. If he pushes into an occupied hex you first deal one damage to the fighter and then push them hex one away. So can you play Mirror Move when: a) The Fighter is pushed away, but before Sourtongue moves into the hex (i.e. you can choose another goblin as the' different fighter' and push them around) Pushing Sourtongue is an option wouldn't he end up in the hex he intended to go? What happens if you push Sourtongue back one? b) When Sourtongue pushes into the now empty hex (i.e. you can now pick the fighter as the 'different fighter' and push him one hex out of the likely path of Sourtongue) c) Once all pushes have completed, and pick one fighter (other than Sourtongue) and move them 3 hexes as per Sourtongue's total push
  15. Presenting the Blue-Skinned Gary and his Reavers! Keeping up the High Fantasy look to my different crews (plus everyone loves Skeletor) has helped my motivation to paint these. Even if I never game with them.
  16. Welcome to the best faction! Farstriders - Inspiration Strikes. Required card to get Fjul going prior to the start of turn 2. I like Spectral Wings too which is also in the Farstrider pack. Eyes of the Nine - Fired Up, Great Gains, What Armour: 3 objectives I like for my Axes. Also the upgrade Sudden Growth can be found in this deck Spiteclaw - Escalation objective and Awakened Weapon upgrade Steelheart Expansion - Strong Start, Regal Vision (a ploy to inspire when on an objective but before your opponent can push you off), and Champion's fortitude upgrade
  17. My Orruks painted with Blood Axe colours. Wanted to do something a little different with the skin. They miss their Vitamin D since its never sunny in the Underworld (that, and they can never die)
