  1. This is unfortunately the most common outcome. People switch to other God's books because STD simply don't cut it. So yeah, you will be better of player BoK
  2. It's written in the StD book and counts for all heroes or abilities where you could have all marks. Pg.67 to be exact under Aura of Chaos
  3. This is not how it works. The reason for Archaeon is seen as overpriced and useless is that he has to chose a mark before the battle. He doesn't have all marks throughout the battle
  4. Are you guys sure you played it right? The plus 1 sv is played on Nurgle units. The +1 attack banner is in the Khorne allegiance.
  5. Just out of curiosity, how do you make an Archaeon list op???? I have never seen anything remotely to that
  6. Nope, sadly not. It actually got worse. People realized you have to play the marauders, one trick pony and even then you are basically helpless against most stuff. Looking at the new books of Bonereapers already hurt but the new Lumineth book just broke peoples spirit completely. Those books have a great flow of lore influencing abilities and strong units with multiple list builds. We have a book where one half is not playable with the other half, paired with weak abilities and useless but way overpriced units. If someone would ask me i would think this book was written a long time ago for AOS 1.0 It's just no fun to play against AOS 2.0, not to mention the AOS 2.5 armies. But with that said, it's a long time since someone had something positive to say, so step forward and lift our spirits.
  7. What has all that to do with AOS guys? Don't you have a 40k forum somewhere?
  8. uhmmm.... after reading the Bonereapers and now the Lumineth i seriously question who wrote the Slaves to Darkness Book. I guess the Janitor had some time to kill. This book feels more and more like an insult
  9. You can mark every unit that has the ability to be marked. If every unit is marked Tzeench, you can use the Tzeench book. As soon as you mark them tzeench they don't count as allies anymore.
  10. Nope you can't stack effects from the same source. If you find something else, causing -1 to hit you can stack.

    Nurgle help

Wait for the new book, which comes at some point. Right now Nurgle isn't really an option, especially Tamurkhan
  12. I absolutely agree. They started to use these things in my club. The battlefields are now full with 6", 12" markers with personal flavor prints. At this point we might even remove the battlemats and play on a flat black surface. It must be really difficult to measure 6" from a centerpoint
  13. You sure can. Only condition is that an enemy is within 3"
  14. You got it buddy, as long as we had a successful charge, we can pile to our hearts desire. 🙂
  15. ^ This Most people play it wrong. You can have pile in of 392 inches and it doesn't matter if you are not already within 3" To pile in you need to check one of those 2 conditions. - Successfully charged (end the movement within 1/2 inch) - Being within 3"
  16. You may ask the chaos players what they think of lance charges. Be carefull what you wish for.
  17. All those little factions in that book count as an allegiance of their own. So we can only choose from the list they provide us. The whole army gets the Knights of the empty Throne allegiance and the books states you can have only 1 allegiance. Same thing why you can't play Ravagers and Cabalists. IMO opinion the new books is as useless as it comes.
  18. At this point you are better with playing the Tzeench Book
  19. Really looks like Nurgle to me. The Plaquebearers play bone flutes and they have 3 fingers and a thumb. Also the flute looks exactly like the one they have.
  20. To play Nurgle, everything else has to be Nurgle. Furies can't be marked. Maybe declare them as allies if possible
  21. The main reason for the bad review is that they are priced like an ultra elite army point wise but perform way below mediocre units. Also the limited selections of units that are playable is very annoying. Either you play a blob of 40 marauders with your beam around gimmick or you go home. Having a huge chunk of the featured units unplayable is not well received. That brings me to the next topic. Most of the even remotely useful skills are randomly applied or connected to very high casting values. If you meet a magic heavy army, you can forget about your one trick pony marauder beaming and you are toast. And there are people who care about the lore and highly question the unit strength. By lore, the guys getting stronger as much they raise in the ranks. For any reason, Marauders are the strongest and as more you move up, as weaker the units get. IMO they are perfect for non competitive, themed role play. If you create god sworn warbands rampaging the country you will love them.
  22. I am not too concerned about being a T1 book. It's more that newcomers and some regulars are just swept off the table if the opponents knows what he/she is doing. I am able to win as well but mostly because my opponents are not used to StD in their current state. My concern is if i play against StD with all 3 of my other armies i table the StD guys in my club in round 3 and people already refuse to play me when they bring StD. It's not that i am the 2nd coming, i just know the army well and if you deny their already sparse shenanigans, it's like baby seal clubbing. I just wish, 90% of the book weren't useless and it would stick more to the lore
  23. Not sure we are playing the same game here. I won tournaments with Warriors of Chaos. And yes i used the heavy armored units. Giving every unit a mark and pay with points was the best thing in that army.
  24. Well, StD are supposed to be that heavy armored forces. If i like bunch of naked guys i play Khorne, if i want strong magic, i play Tzeench. So yes, people want to play warriors, knights and chariots. It's like telling a Tzeench player, your army is stronger without magic and treachery and if you don't like it play another army. This is you guys only and ever repeating argument. Go play another army. But you know what? People play the warriors since 10+ years and don't want to play another army, they want their gaming experience, they had since forever. So please spare me this, go play another army. If i want to ignore facts and look away if something is wrong, i would join a church. But i want to play warhammer like i used to the last 10+ years. And yes, this book sucks epic, doesn't matter how you look at it.
