I can‘t imagine iconic units like plague monks won‘t return with a new kit. I mean, I can technically imagine it and they might think it‘s too close to Nurgle but it would be a real shame! I‘m too lazy to play bingo but I‘m keeping my fingers crossed for all Skaven fans. The new edition will have to do right by them and a couple of other forces.

I dunno, it's hard to decide between these guys with comically huge weapons and models where one gal dances on top of a dude for me. But they certainly overshoot what updated Devastators should've been.

Looking at those new sculpts, I'd go full cuck. it's understandable at that point.

I‘d like them to go to that place you‘ve painted such a nice picture of and add some more abominations to them. BoC could be so cool if done right. While I find their basic kits quite good for their age, we all know that BoC could truly shine with a bit of love.

Yeah, I'd also like them to be their own thing. More mutated, more variety. Give the semi-vanilla ones to the 4 Gods but make the true children of Chaos scary as FEC (😇)!

I dunno, it's less about Khul per se (just read his backstory, kinda reminded me of Kratos in a broad sense), it's just that he has a decent model and we got new DPs recently...

I think that it's not something you can count on in most cases - an update of an existing kit is still the exception for the most part, despite some cool upgrades in recent times. We'll definitely get them one day but it might still be years before any particular unit gets said update. The bad looking ones will probably go first. Not that I find them bad but Grots would in theory qualify for an update as many people collect them.

I‘ve got pretty much everything I need for my Tzeentch armies (I‘ve got enough StD to run them as their own too in theory), so I‘m currently not really buying much for any of them. Basically almost nothing - if GW wants my money, they need to release something for me. 😂 I‘d be interested in a second army but with my slow speed that feels really dumb for the time being. If I had more time, I‘d love to have Flesheaters, Skaven, Seraphon, Gravelords, Nighthaunt…. so many cool armies are out there! Perhaps I‘ll get one in the future but right now I should paint more of my stuff.

It’s really dependent on how much time I have for it… I‘d like to paint more but life finds a way to stop me from doing more in that regard. I try find at least a „monthly“ window to have some fun so that I‘m at least productive for a few days in a month, I wish I‘d get to have that weekly. As a teen I painted more or less daily (it’s like meditation for me) and I love painting, truly, but there‘s work (and I tend to reserve a lot of my headspace and perfectionism for that, trying to do good design work), then I‘m often lazy, working out, social life… video games, tv….so yeah, I got a ton of lame excuses. 😆 Oh yeah, and no chance to paint when our dog stays with me, she‘s still young (with insane amounts of energy) and I rather make her happy when I get her than do other stuff. I think my biggest problem is that I like being able to really concentrate on it, so I don‘t really start any new project when I know I can‘t put in lots of time in that period. It‘s a self-defeating stance actually now that I think of it, I guess I should really work on that but it‘s difficult getting outta your own skin even if you know the problem. 😅😇

One is a great little model, like GW Geralt in heavy armor, the other looks like someone stuck random ****** from his bits box onto the figure to make it look like some Ultramarine Honor Guard in a fantasy setting. Definitely shows how far those designers have come and refined the look. Like Mies van der Rohe famously said: „less is more“, at least in some cases! 👌 So yeah, I think GW needs to think about the overall composition/the basic design way more than worrying about adding even more details onto the sculpts. We‘re currently at a really spot in regards to that anyways. The latest designs usually really show earlier stuff who‘s boss… I‘m not just talking about ancient plastic kits that suck now but even more recent, over-designed stuff like Archaon (what a tragedy the new one is compared to Napoleon) or those End Times Death things that kinda influenced Bonereapers.

Well, it would certainly go down easier for NON-SC players. I'd like a mix out of SC and CoS personally as well but I like mixed armies in general, nothing is more boring than something that looks the same to me. Others prefer the exact opposite though (some of us had that discussion a while back in this very thread I think), so hard to say what the consensus would be. What I'd really prefer however is them not making easy to build SC minis of units for the starter box and then release a stand-alone version a bit later. With SC looking so similar there's really no benefit to that and those resources could be a totally new kit for someone else and literally every single other force needs it more than SCE. But I guess I'm delusional there. Anyways, my biggest hope is that the next edition will fill some (big) gaps for most forces, especially those that basically got nothing so far.

Yeah, plus the AoS rules are extremely lacking too when it comes to terrain. I mean just basic stuff like swamps (less movement) etc. aren't in there, it's just take dmg or something. Thankfully it's really easy to remedy that but a table without hills and other cool stuff that isn't just a building is boring. GW makes amazing buildings visually, so I'm cool with them being not ideal gameplay-wise but I don't understand why they can't do both.
