  1. I gotta be honest, I find them posting the least interesting and most vague shots of upcoming models almost as bad as simply posting nothing. Oh wait, that should go in the unpopular opinion thread, my home.
  2. If Tzeentch for once took his meds, Teclis would get swatted like the fly he is by a proper god of magic. Teclis is the kid in the playground proclaiming himself to be the king of something he can never truly be. 😎 At least Magnus is reasonable enough to understand who is superior.
  3. Your command of internet memes is certainly much better than mine. I don't even know what your new reply references. I'm back to being a learner and even more 😕 now. I'm just saying that there was a time where "Magnus was right" and other variations held absolutely true. And I liked how grey (let's say dark grey, cause they were all quite horrible) all the different figures/factions were. Just be nice to the fishy kind of Aelves, those poor souls guys got enough problems already.😅
  4. I got that sinking feeling that you've attributed yourself the genius part of your nickname! 🤔 You got a sad trombone for yourself in that collection of tiny instruments of yours? I'd love to listen but I gotta modify my Castellax roombas, they're smearing the Space Puppy droppings all over my carpet again. Toodles!
  5. Virgin 40k fan? How cruel to forget the important part of it - proper virgin 40k fan! Before GW got more kid-friendly and simple in their storytelling and wrote stuff in a more black and white manner, Magnus perhaps didn't do everything right (he was still hella foolish) but he was an actual victim pretty much, and not just of circumstance. No Horus intercepting and messing with the message, the Emperor was simply wrong about the TS which in turn made the TS way more tragic and more interesting villains than how things are now. I'm still offended by the decision to dumb down so many cool plot points. I guess that's why I believe everyone should know that the Imperium (and the God-Emperor) are just as trashy as all the others.
  6. I think you might be referring to Kranon. Makes sense that we‘ll get something similar to the Chosen (and their leader) from Dark Vengeance for the new Chosen, GW loves reusing 3d stuff. I still find it strange that the new CSM release is seemingly a bigger release, not just Chosen, since they got so many kits in recent years. Would‘ve made more sense to bring out Khorne or Slaaneshi stuff at this point… well, despite being a bit unhappy with AoS not getting much, this release is important. Some of the Eldar figures were already there when I started or were new releases back then…
  7. Oh, I love that! I'd pay good money for dead Aelfs, especially Lumineth! I'd have a whole army of those. Maybe two. 😎 Casualties in general would be awesome (there were like 3 models for 40k ages ago) and I'd love some grim stuff for scenery. Like mutilated corpses from some chaotic rituals, body parts, skewered people, etc. Or even better, I've always loved the stories about Praag, when people got fused with the walls... I'd totally pay for something like that. Too bad GW themselves will never venture into such a gruesome direction.... and 3rd party stuff usually has a very different style that wouldn't mix well... or gigantic ****** or something. 😄
  8. All good now, we're done I think "Psychic Assault"... as Tzeentch and Lumineth, that's very fitting. I feel honored.
  9. I'm simply allergic to a lack of common sense. Doesn't have anything to do with left and right. Yes, politically I'm middle-right but that is irrelevant to these topics mostly. Please re-read my above post as I've added to it but you're "sad" the new trailer portrays Marines (or the empire) as great (or not the horrible clusterbeep it is) after GW acknowledges the Imperium isn't great. A) Give them some time to act on this, B) the trailer was done by others, not GW directly, C) narratively it makes sense, D) the trailer is a tiny part of the whole thing, you judge the whole story from a single trailer that should convey a heroic tone. And I'm sorry, I do no wish to see "my" warhammer change - let storytellers tell their story. If some right-wing nut uses it for some ****** reasoning or idolization, that's not the the original story's fault. GW very often let you know that the Imperium is a horrible place. I don't know how anyone could have any other view of it unless he can't understand.
  10. Nah, I'd need to randomly be sad in a couple of days about it and mention it here again to be on Maogrim levels. But clever! Have a good one.
  11. Naturally, cause they start to affect my personal freedom by asking for censorship of fiction! That's precisely what you're not supposed to do. It's hilarious that you guys don't even see the irony anymore. Plus it's fiction that everyone in their right mind can understand and process correctly. You can't blame the artwork if people use it wrongly. Vote with your wallet. You don't like GW handling their IP, stop playing Warhammer. You see, thankfully I'm not as whiny as you are cause in a fair world, you'd get modded right now - but thankfully I won't whine about it. Edit: GW gave the developers the license in the game's case. For all you (or we) know, the Imperium might be portrayed as horrible in the game. You're talking a short intro - which is a tiny amount of all the data - and claim that this part stands for everything else in the game. You are probably right but still... it's a game about Space Marines. It would be atypical to portray them as horrible monsters in that exact moment. And if GW acknowledges things, you gotta give them time to act on those things. Change rarely happens instantly.
  12. Thank you for the common sense injection, it's sorely lacking here at times. Seriously, it's pretty damn sad if people take the Imperium at face value (and shows how immature that person's POV is) but complaining about video game developers (it's not even GW!) glorifying Space Marines, when they're the obvious cash cow and what most people like (and thus will sell), that's VEEEERY far removed from sanity as well. If it bothers someone, they need to go find a new hobby immediately. George Lucas made 3 movies about Darth Vader, who stood for everything you don't like and yet is a popular figure cause we ca expect that people understand that he's not real. You got Empire stuff as well, even shows and games where they are the protagonists and not every second someone tells them (or you) how evil they are. Go complain about that too, please. And don't speak for me with ****** like "People just want GW to not glorify it" ... I want them to glorify the Imperium of Man as much as they want! It's their fiction, let them write and portray it the way they want. I understand the context and am not mentally challenged as to not be able to differentiate between reality and fiction and don't think that the creators of said fiction propagate certain beliefs a key faction in their universe has.. Stop trying to think for others - or even worse: forces edits and footnotes you agree with - cause that is fascist. Some of you guys are like the ones saying video games turn kids into killers when out 10000000 kids who played a particular game one does something horrible. The fault doesn't lie with the game, it lies with the kid. Seriously, it's starting to hurt.
  13. We don't usually use (m)any, mostly it's just allowing certain things (like custom heroes) or using custom terrain rules. Rule of cool and fun trumps all others and usually we agree to look past some things that might technically be correct but at the same time seem pretty weird. We also mostly play 2v2 or 1v2 and use all 4 (or 3) allegiance abilities in those, not sure if that falls under house rules or not though. So yeah, I like house rules although like I've said, we 99% of the time just use the official ones.
  14. That paint job is so cool the model looks 5 times better than the official reveal. I wasn't a huge fan of it until I've seen this image. Wish we'd have rules for a Chaos dragon as it's likely too big to use for something else we got access to.
  15. If it was for Slaaneshi CSM, it would probably have some kind of trim or ornament on such a long, smooth space like the chainsword although they overall shape is gracious enough to fit. I could imagine them to go for some of the swirly detailing the Slaaneshi AoS range got for Emperor‘s Kiddies now. Nurgle and Tzeentch certainly got closer design-wise in the two systems, Khorne was pretty mich always quite similar and I‘m sure Slaanesh will follow that trend now.
  16. Hmmm, I dunno but I felt a couple of things were pretty off about it. From the whole „he‘s a man, he has to die“ (yeah, I know that’s part of it but what a start 😂) intro to the grading (I feel like fantasy does benefit from some more striking color correction, else it looks too mundane/colorful) to the way the spell-casting looks… To the way it‘s written… I haven‘t read the books but I felt embarrassed watching it, dunno, just has a weird vibe to it. No epic feeling like LOTR certainly. I watched a couple of episodes but I feel like this could‘ve been done way better. Seems like they‘re just trying to tick off some boxes instead of trying to make the fantastical work well. Some things they did well enough but other scenes were really insufferable to me. Hoping the other (2 of my friends are huge WoT nuts and they also didn’t like it) WoT fans are happy with it at least
  17. Well, us Chaos worshippers know that pain all too well. Still less painful than watching "Wheel of Time" though! Sorry for disagreeing but I wouldn't even recommend my arch enemy to watch that. 😅
  18. If they'd portray BoC like the troglodytes in Tomahawk (cool horror western with Kurt Russell) people would find them the scariest thing there is. BoC are the grown-up version of Orks. They are what makes you afraid of venturing out into the woods, they are your Leatherface and other slasher monsters. Dunno if shooting for "these guys are all about anarchy" isn't about the lamest aspect you could develop but I'm going by online summaries here. I don't think the chaotic aspect of them is what makes people like them. They are children of Chaos, yes, but not active agents of it in the sense of being anarchists (anarchy might follow them but that's it). Give me lovecraftian beastmen as a dark force that cannot be reasoned with (well, arguably you can't now either), with lots of scary, primitive rituals and hell, I'd buy an army instantly if some minis get proper upgrades.
  19. I love the big hammer energy the Bastian Carthalos mini has. Total badass. I like it so much I'll use him as a base for a proper Tzeentchian Chaos Sorcerer Lord despite feeling guilty for even messing with the model in the first place. Qulathis and Prince Duvalle are my other favorite mini releases of the year with SBGL being the coolest model range that came out. Hoping for Skaven and Seraphon next year. Well, at least Eldar seem to get something finally, so there's hope. Not even blu tack can hold this properly together, so excuse my fingers... Will change some more details (like his feet, belly (I find abs on armor unfitting), the staff from Ahriman might become a weapon (I just wanted those gloves) and despite fitting Tzeentch, I might exchange the kneepads as they scream SCE) and ordered some more bits (might use Sigvald's shoulder pads to get closer to my initial design although i really like the Varanguard ones, got a bit of a Sephiroth vibe) but it's getting there... Head will be a custom 3d print although I also think about giving it an alternate one that looks like Malthael's hood... either by using the Harlequin mini or cutting my Sorc Lord on Manticore apart. Well, looooong way to go with more bits and quite a bit of sculpting but it's already my favorite thing I did this year.
  20. Don't blame me, I didn't create it. 🤷‍♂️
  21. Laugh while you can and may you drown in my tears, you disgusting aelf! As soon as they get rid of the ones pushing those annoying aelves, you'll be back to Eldar-level support! Then new oceans shall be formed and I will be there with you in the darkness and sustain myself on that sweet taste of victory for all of the next 25+ years. Mod edit - removed content which not appropriate for these for these forums.
  22. I just watched the new He-Man series second part so I'm too weak to go on another tirade now but you are absolutely right.
  23. Seriously, that GW has to state this ****** is pathetic for absolutely every side. If fiction that uses bad ideas to create a setting or tell a story needs to justify itself for it, we're heading down a very difficult an amazingly stupid road that would have to result in the destruction of a ton of great books. If you see radicals as something other than clowns, you're doing it wrong.
  24. Already pre-bought it after seeing the Tzeentch trailer… what more do they want from me?
