  1. They did mention the Lords could be folded in as a "lord on daemonic mount" from SOD and an Exalted Champion (if I recall correctly).
  2. They did mention it but I couldn't hear that well. Was watching on my phone at work, lol. EDIT: It may even be a debuff to an enemy unit, in that you cast it on them and then all your units targeting that unit re-roll 1s. It was quite difficult to understand at that point in the stream.
  3. Rundown from the Stream -4 battalions in the book, and they are altered (in some unclear manner) based on what Host type you take. - No Khorne allies (nice) - Slaanesh keyword units are all allowed, so Beastmen and Slaves to Darkness can still be Slaanesh allegiance - Can sacrifice Hero wounds on Fane... or give it an artefact. Still not clear what the latter does. - Keeper of Secrets 1v1'd Archaon at "lunchtime" in a game as a Pretenders general. - Archaon and Skarbrand got trashed during practice game, which was "quite fast" - Keeper of Secrets battalion confirmed. - Endless Spells are called "dreaded Visage, Mesmerising Mirror, and ..." one I couldn't make out. Mesmerising Mirror is a control space spell, that discourages people from getting to close (for some reason). Face with tendrils debuffs bravery and includes mortal wounds. - Contorted Epitome: pair of Heralds, take energy and send it back to the Temple of Mirrors. Mirror also slows enemy combat (as we know), 2 spells: Overwhelming Acquiescence, and one I don't remember. - Heralds are ALL WIZARDS and are split between "foot" and "mounted". Heralds can ride all the chariot types including Hellflayers. - Overwhelming Acquiescence spell gives re-roll ones and can be cast an infinite number of times ( though still only once per caster) - Seeker chariots get buffs to charges and impact MWs - Hellflayer chariots are "more about the grind", and has more overall attacks than the Seeker Chariot. - The Exalted Seeker Chariot includes both Hellflayer and Seeker chariot rules. - The chariot rules caused the rules design team to rethink "monstrous cavalry in AOS" as a general concept, and the Slaanesh book is the first rollout of the new ideas. - Contorted Epitome and Keeper of Secrets are the designers two favorite warscrolls in the book. - Keeper Warscroll has a ton of options to differentiate them (apparently. This part was hard to understand - could've talked about different options in the army, e.g. artefacts or host). - Battletome is definitely supposed to help shut down FEC by shutting down Savage Strike and command abilities with at least two different spells. - EXALTED KEEPER OF SECRETS will get an updated warscroll to bring it in line with the new Keeper so that it "works along side it and doesn't seem weird" whatever that means. - Depravity Points summoning costs went up, but aligned to points costs - just like @Enoby suggested, but generation methods also went up. - Depravity Points can only be used to summon - no other fun things. - Infernal Enrapturess didn't change at all since W&R. - MORTAL LORDS OF SLAANESH ARE NOT in battletome. Neither foot nor mounted. - Still thinking over what to do with mortals - distinct possibility Slaanesh will be the first Chaos god with a separate book for their mortals. Here I had to stop watching because work.
  4. He spoiled it and then got in trouble, and the stream got really awkward for a bit. But yes.
  5. In that case, all you're advocating for is shifting around the Alliance points. No need for some complicated "Battle Brother" system. Just say "Allies can now be 800 pts. They still get no allegiance abilities, still don't make up your mandatory selections, etc." and be done with it. That will allow greater freedom and less complexity.
  6. Setting aside the actual appearance of the creatures, though, that art merely feeds my theory: GW might see Slaanesh as almost becoming "Good" Chaos, in that she focuses on fighting other Chaos, and in certain circumstances might forgo attacking a mortal enemy (in favor of subverting and seducing them) in order to pursue his wrath against Khorne/some other Chaos upstart. The art poses and colors Shalaxi the way you might see the Archangel Michael posed over Lucifer. Her fluff is that she kills Greater Daemons and Bloodthirsters, specifically. Syll'Esske killed a whole load of Daemons on their way to Slaanesh's throne and was rewarded. And the Contorted Epitome almost strikes me as a weapon to be used against Chaos - highly resistant to the wounding energies of magic/the winds of chaos/the realm, and capable of reflecting the worst excesses of the other 3 Brothers - excesses on which Slaanesh itself feeds. EDIT: Hedonites of Slaanesh on STREAM right now!
  7. Eh, I don't think people would look that closely. I could print this on the wall and my friends who are into video-games or whatever would probably assume she's just a stylized angel. Pop culture has really dicked with what angels are "supposed" to look like over the years, so I think you could probably pass Shalaxi off in that picture as an angel.
  8. The problem is that it makes mixed armies too competitive, unless you're saying the army can only still be one Allegiance (e.g. Stormcast Eternals). In which case, it's basically saying "Allies points should double" which is whatever. I assumed what is being asked for is for the "Battle Brothers" and the "Primary" to be equal parts of a list (except in points), so for example the Wanderers keep all their allegiance buffs and the Sylvaneth keep all their allegiance buffs, allowing for weird armies that take a Sylvaneth General with a Sylvaneth command trait and a Wanderer artifact, while both of them get allegiance abilities. That would be like how 40k has it, and it's silly.
  9. Agreed completely. That art is fantabulastic. I wish I could buy a print of it. EDIT: Anyone else get the impression that, if you spoke to someone who isn't familiar with Warhammer, you could pass this off as an Angel fighting a Daemon?
  10. I think this is generally covered by Mixed armies really. Mixed Order can have 1200 pts of a primary, and 400 points of a secondary, and 400 pts of a tertiary, for example. Trying to preserve each component's allegiance abilities while having 3 separate allegiances on the board sounds a lot like trying to have your cake and eat it too, and is causing problems with balance in 40k. If you want 1200 of Stormcast, 400 of Ironweld Arsenal, and 400 of Order Serpentis, just play Mixed Order.
  11. I already have 4 KOS and 1 EKOS and plan to get two more KOS for 6 (all love Slaanesh). The new lore article is interesting. Much more about fighting Chaos than about fighting other Order or mortal armies even in 40k. Slaanesh is almost taking on an aspect of ye olde Malal - indeed, Syll'Esske slaughtered their way through Slaanesh's realm before meeting the Prince, and the Dark Prince rewarded them. She Who Thirsts created Shalaxi Helbane (notice the Hell-Bane?) specifically to fight other Greater Daemons (especially Bloodthirsters) first and foremost.
  12. Nope. It's an "unmodified" hit roll of a 6. Any 6s do the auto mortal wounds.
  13. I think that would give a place for the Exalted KOS to still exist. Seriously, this Keeper dramatically outclasses her. That said, I secretly pray that GW is competent enough to update the Exalted as a Day 1 DLC as well.
  14. Fourty? You mean twenty, surely? ... oh. Except the doubling on sixes. oh my god.
  15. What if the mirror is a hero? It's specifically called out as being "crewed" by two Heralds of Slaanesh!
  16. Poor Exalted Keeper, left behind... (which is when we find out the same model has 2 warscrolls, one for an Exalted version, because why not).
  17. Here's another question: What do you guys think the status of the Exalted Keeper of Secrets from Forge World will be after this? I feel like she's almost totally outclassed, depending on their command ability.
  18. I wonder what the weapon options are for the Keeper of Secrets as well - is the spear only for Helbane? Or do we get to see Keepers armed differently? They do mention that options exist... what if I want a hoplite Phalanx made of keepers of secrets mmmh?
  19. This is awesome. The keeper looks to be a real terror in combat... Wish we knew what the shield did!
  20. Right. So my predictions: The mirror will be a spellcaster that's quite durable when in a spellcasting duel. Furthermore, it may affect the movement options of enemy units. The herald and prince duette will probably be like a mount and rider in AOS, a'la two units (or melee profiles) in one.
  21. They give us some clue, though. For example, in 40k the mirror is a Spellcaster (with a 2+ save against mortal wounds!) that enraptures the enemy to prevent them from falling back, while also being quite a bit more capable at dispelling enemy spells and casting its own. Meanwhile, the duette of Herald and Prince gets the "fight twice" ability natively, basically pretending to be two units in one.
  22. Cult of Pleasure would be cool to see again, yesss.... Yes, and no, respectively.
  23. I am gonna laugh if there is a rule to steal other units from other GAs instead of getting our own mortals. Temptation Unlike Any Other: Slaanesh's whispered temptations tug harder on a mortal soul than any other, offering the mortal its greatest desires at the very low cost of their allegiance. Any unit from any other Allegiance may gain the Slaanesh keyword and join this Allegiance; however, it retains its original faction keyword, representing its continued loyalty even as Slaanesh naturally feeds its desires... Of course, this means it does not benefit from Chaos Slaanesh abilities, given that it has not fully embraced the hedonistic lifestyle of Slaaneh's true followers. Yet.
  24. Don't forget that while it might be a nerf to Daemonettes, it's a buff to damn near everything else. An EKOS with "Strongest Alone" gets re-rolls to hit, and something like 11 attacks. A high chance for a couple 6's there, and duplicating such powerful attacks is pretty terrifying. A single extra attack with her greatsword could be 3 more damage.
