I have always been a "start dark, blend up" painter. This is my very first attempt at relying heavily on Lahmian Medium to create transitions from medium tones. It's always good to learn new things.

  3. Aww, I'm just goofin. I'm a majorhugebig TK fan, and even I have accepted that they are toast. I figured orhers would not seriously think TK were ever coming back and world see the humor in my post. Apologies to those who still hold out hope for the TK and didn't know it was a joke. Btw. Kharn bit not a joke. Local GW manager told me he has seen the issue.
  4. From my butt. MOD EDIT: TRY AND PLAY NICE GUYS
  5. White Dwarf model is Kahrn. New Tomb Kings will be called The Eternal Legions.
  6. Wait. What? Warseer is dead? HELL YEAH! Take that Portent and your ****** child. F yeah. So happy.
  7. On the subscription price - Subscribe and get 3 issues for free. Not bad considering the old GW norm.
  8. Nurgle has been featured prominently over the last few years, in fluff and models (Glottkin book and model just for a start). Tzeentch got his own game that even crosses over into mainstream AoS. It's not all Khorne.
  9. I know, but I suppose I would just like a nice, pretty, handy book with them. I'm old school - I still like books and buy CDs.
  10. Crossing fingers it includes Garden of Mor, Witchfate, Dreadstone, etc.
  11. Related trivia: Pre WH4th ed they proposed block troop purchases as well. It was in WD for Empire before the first Empire army book.
  12. Sooo glad I never opened my 5 boxes of savage orcs! I can now do a totally AoS faction on round bases without spending a ton to get there! Plus, they sound hella cool!
  13. Hi Ben, Thanks! Thing is though, it has changed for me. If I want to play with my old Warhammer army, or a new AoS army I've built with cool bases that seem appropriately sized to my eyes, I am concerned that I may be denied games because of my models are not on the (artificially) "right" bases. Anyhoo, maybe it won't be a problem. It was just a passing thought I had about wondering why folks were putting so much into layering on a potentially exclusionary part of the game that the game does not have in it, even post-General's Handbook. Carry on!
  14. Don't take this question as a negative. It's cool to see so much effort going into the hobby. I have a genuine question though, especially now that the General's Handbook is looming. Why all the concern over base size in a game that quite deliberately encourages you to use whatever base you like? I understand that certain events might want to make some rules based on bases, but it just seems an awfully tough pill to swallow to be told your army is not valid for that event (or from one event to the next if they use different base size rules) when the game itself tells you do put models on what you like. -Joe
