  1. Thank you. So, that being the case, is it fair to say that a player (not fighter) must reach the point of having the option to drive back/not have the option to drive back to end the Attack action? In other words, up until decision (or lack of decision) time, the Attack action is still 'happening' right?
  2. This may seem like a weird one, but it's more complicated than it seems on the surface: When does an Attack action end?
  3. Oh, I get all that. I really do, but - There Is legitimate greyness around the timing of his particular rule and the sequence of rolling attack and defense dice during an Attack action. And. In a tournament, I expect my opponents to play to the letter of the rules. If I can't show them, by the rules, that they are taking a currently (not how a future FAQ might rule, but the rules as of the event) illegal action, it would be poor sportsmanship on my part to expect them to not do a given thing simply because I don't think they should. Everything - except the actual rules - screams to me that Gurzag cannot wait to see his opponent's dice, but I have no rules to support this. Keep in mind, this is GW's attempt at a tight, competitive, tournament game. Players should expect a different type of interaction in this than they would in, say, a narrative AoS game.
  4. I'm inclined as you are, but I don't feel right denying my opponent based on inclination rather than a rule.
  5. Q: Let's say Inspired Gurzag rolls 2 hammers. His opponent rolls a Critical on defense. Can Gurzag THEN re-roll one of his Attack dice? If not, why not?
  6. Yes. Too easy. I'm not looking forward to this card. In general, I find Shadespire to lean away from plans that take thought and multiple components and toward plans that reward seizing opportunities as they are presented. Have a deck that is an all around useful set of cards without depending on any one or two cards. Capitalize on mistakes such as fighters being isolated. It's, again, why Orruks are so good - no need for a kunnin plan. (That said, I did beat them 5 out of 8 games with undead yesterday. )
  7. This is the overall issue with Objective-holding strategies already - you work hard to position your models to achieve them, setting up multiple triggers, and then bam, with no planning or effort it gets yanked. Earthquake just cements the death of this style of play, especially at tournaments.
  8. FWIW - I just got off the phone with my local GW manager - a guy I've known for more than 15 years and I trust - and he said he has had no indication of Shadespire (or Necromunda) being non-stocked. In fact, he gave me a number on his initial stock levels, and without getting into it, I can say the levels are strong.
  9. Wow. That really would be a bad, bad sign if true. Damn. I'm really enjoying this game and would hate to see it die. ☹☹☹☹
  10. Keep in mind it works when any ploy is played on them, even by the opponent. This means your opponent may be hesitant to do things to you as a Skaven player that he normally does to others.
  11. Agreed. This approach and the new book pretty much (wait for it) sound the death knell for our hopes of new models any time soon.
  12. If they reveal a range of plastic squigs at Adepticon, that's all I'll need. Job done.
  13. If this opinion were ever proven true of Shadespire, I'd quit on the spot.
  14. At least that matches up with the rules in the book.
  15. New super corpse cart. Edit: Scratch that. Gravesite.
  16. Out of curiosity, why? I mean, other than it's a neat and even break down, what makes this optimal? BTW - I would combine my quotes/replies into one if there were SOME sort of forum usage instructions on how to do this. Awesome place to be, here, but a lot of assuming that we know how to use this particular piece of software.
  17. They could add a new save. Crits only.
