They better not! There's a reason why they are called the "Daughters of Khaine": they worship Khaine (who is actually dead but may come back), and Morathi was the Oracle, and now the aspect of Khaine having Malerion thrown in would just not fit. Plus, it would be a waste to basically remake the old Dark Elves in such a way.

Plus Malerion is supposed to hate Morathi.

I would not mind combining them and giving the DoK a huge subfaction :)

It's always been a love-hate-relationship with the two, so who knows.

As others have mentioned: The range of DoK is wildly lacking (also gameplay wise)

Exactly I‘d like to order them from their print on demand service since I currently don’t have the setup to print anything myself.

Do you have any experience with their PoD service? (The material especially)

The dismounted lord looks, he looked better in the older pictures. But all in all it's a nice mini and will probably look better with a more muted face/head.

Is there a specific comparison you want to see? I am going to do a print tomorrow.

They‘ve got the new men at arms on their patreon. I‘d want to know how they compare to Steelhelms :)

thx for the effort so far!

  4. Alchemite melee only with a points drop for him and Fusiliers

Darkshards auto wound on 6 to hit

Black Guard can protect a Sorceress on Dragon

Point Drops for monsters and mounts (Dragons, Griffons, Manticore)

Hammerers and Executioners need a point drop

apart from that the army is solid and a lot of fun.

I'd love this. It's one of the few old terrain pieces I am still trying to get.

Although I think for most players, the Fortified Manor would be a bigger seller.

The Manse is nice and all, it’s scale is off however. (It’s partially a little too smallI: Doors, inner space etc. - I own one) still a nice model.

    I‘d like the manor though!

Ya I play cities a bit and they feel like they need some help. Maybe just better battle tactics?

Still waiting for them to show up in a tournament winning list  on woehammer so I can figure out a list lol.

I‘ve had great success with cities. :) (Only 20 Fusiliers)

I did even beat a tournament Belthanos list.

Yeah, and I still wanted to buy a couple of them after my more a hour wait, but they were sold out. I wanted to buy the BSB set, I like those and than I could use these to scale my STLs too.

No, the quality is not phenomenal. It's what you should expect from a resin cast and for that price you should get better casts. Below that than it's a rip off.

I am using now for my prints elegoo ABS like 2.0 and the detail is atleast as good, if not better and much more durable.

With a Elegoo Mars 4 Max 6K + Elegoo ABS 2.0 you are good to for around 200 euro and after a week you printed a 2000 point army for less than the prices you paid for all the new resin Bretonnian/TK miniatures that were available for pre-order and atleast with the same level of detail, if not better.

This picture I printed with my previous printer (4K one), the mini is a realistic scaled 28mm, so smaller that the GW one or most fantasy miniatures. With my 6K it's even better. You really shouldn't go higher for miniature printing.

That said, I will still buy them when they are available again. 😉

3D Printing is nice and all I could even print whole model ranges I‘ve sculpted in the past, however I have yet to encounter a resin that isn’t brittle. Whenever a resin print falls to the floor it shatters into tiny pieces. (Swords and elongated parts might break at a touch)

That‘s why I mainly use it for custom bits :/

It‘s sad since most alternative models are sold as resin prints.

  9. I‘ve just seen the prices of the Bretonnian heroes (resin).

    My reactions:

    Lady and Paladin - Wth?

Bsbs - Are you out of your minds!?

And they are in resin - moulds and the material are extremely cheap. The quality and durability is bad.
    I am still baffled.

  10. I agree: I want more customization Options for heroes, less silly namens „Grunstock Gobblewobbers with niffi tift shot‘uns“

I dislike they constant wait and release for updated factions it makes the game never feel complete and makes it seem like one never has time to actually play a new faction before it gets renewed. - Worklife is a hamster‘s wheel already, I don’t need a second one. Just release all rules at once, give downloadable/buyable pages for new units that can be put into the book.

then drive the narrative with those campaign books (Do not finish an edition with campaign books, start it with. Those)

So, I should take out the borders of the trays? never had a problem with them on 8th tournaments tbh.

    No you should not.

The core of what I am trying to say here is that a unit on tray is about the same size as the same unit on slightly larger bases - so excluding people who use slightly larger bases makes no sense.

also trays are technically illegal if a tournament insists on the correct base sizes.

    that is all.

    wait what

    image.png.f19e333d08a5d936e1ba02c8417d0d1b.png

red = Unit Footprint. The top is 30mm, the bottom red is 32mm
    White = the tray
Purple = the amount 32mm is actually bigger than 30mm + tray

The tray enlargens the footprint which by current rules would be illegal anyways. There's basically no difference between using a tray for 30mm bases or using 32mm square bases

    Example formation:
    5x5 models

Didnt see a Direct comparison on photo about this, so here you go: a frontal of 5 20x20mm, with miniatures on round 25mm. As you can see, they fit perfectly on this 100mm base size.

However, its not the same case with 32mm.

    IMG_20240111_212020.jpg

Flip the tray over and place the 32mm in a row. Should work out width wise relatively well (the tray borders technically make trays illegal in tournaments xD)
