The actual problem with Witchbrew is AoS2 nerfing shooting into the ground.

Good joke, shooting is still too powerful (Shootcast Eternals as one example). The -1 to hit against characters means nothing, you still shoot them in turn one if you want to. That‘s a 16% worse chance than before, that‘s not drastic at all.

apart from that I think that all the other changes you suggested are simply making DoK useless, turning too many wheels results in a catastrophe for the army.

I agree on Witches losing the Horde Bonus, but Hags Shoulders be 80 pts not 100 and not 60.

Blood Stalkers should get 2 shots each or they should cost 100 pts per 5.

Khinerai should EITHER lose 20 points for each variant, they‘re just objective-grabbers which are too weak for any other task. OR they should get a damage increase by 1 to make them useful.

Another change, once Witches + gag Queen + Hagg Narr that one prayer have been nerfed is:

make all prayers also affect ranged weapons, so our snakes can actually harass.

also reduce the cost of avatars and make them instantly active if you field them separately.

Gristlegore completely defines have / have nots. If you can't play around the opponent being able to fight first, twice in the combat phase you can't handle gristlegore.

Might be. Since I haven‘t faced FeC (I only play them myself) I‘ve only seen this army from one side. That Court is plainly broken though.

Make them Reapers and watch shootcast get shot up. Laugh maniacally.

To me this seems fair since shooty Stormcasts and Seraphon are the most smelly cheese. Fighting cheese with cheese seems legit 🤣

Their only option is one artifact you can take for a runemaster or runesmiter that lets you attempt to dispel two spells as if you were a wizard. But like I said, most people intend to play with lodges and all of the lodges have artifacts you have to take first, so to get another you would have to take a battalion, all of which are over 100 points.

    I stand corrected then =}

the way I read it is that not DoK are an issue but Hagg Nar is an issue. So maybe just tune down that temple‘s power a bit

Fyreslayers are much more prone to magic/mortal wound sniping and endless spells/shenanigans because they lack inherent options for dispelling without allies.

    🧐

they are just as likely to get sniped off like all the others, though FS mostly have  a safe after the safe?

FS get strong bonuses to despelling and they have a lot of powerful prayers that can‘t be despelled. I think I remember that they can auto-ban a spell? Or was it -2 to it? 🤔

    Full disclaimer:

I've never played Privateer Press stuff, but even I was struck by how much the new Chinese Sylvaneth thing looked like their not!Tyranids. A Warmachine playing friend pointed me in the direction of this mini

Looks better than the new spite due to it having a dynamic pose instead of a 2D-Pose.

I'm pretty sure that thing is actually a Spite (just a big one in insect form). That's what Alarielle's beetle is, and they are all over the Treemen kit. Sometimes they take the form of the insects, sometimes small woodland creatures, sometimes little men/fairies, sometimes even stranger shapes. They've been part of the Sylvaneth/Wood Elf aesthetic since before the End Times. IIRC, at one time you could buy them like magic items and they'd give boosts to your characters.

I know =D. I just dislike everything that looks  insectoid (and all of their shapes) XD

New Warhammer Community update shows the rest of the model. Looks like the other rumor engine.

I'll build him/her without that insect thingy. I never really digged that insects are now part of our trees XD (sticking the wings directly to his back might work)

Perhaps it's a line of Citadel Quick Shades?

that's what I thought so you can just "dip" your models. Should improve the painting speed for hordes by a huge lot.
Also the first dip is going to be Agrax Earthshade dip anyway, since you can never have enough Agrax XD

When it comes to "vague" RAI vs RAW rules, I always try to take the safe bet that something sounds too good to be true.

The latest Miniwargaming video (vault) shows how 4-10 of the Hearthguard slaughter everything they touch with their MWs. A Gorgon gets oneshotted against 7?  Of them etc. they played them as one big blob of 30 and it was absurd.

I really want to see more tests with them though. Since the first impression might be wrong though the math agrees on it.

@prochuvi Hearthguard deal more dmg and are way tankier (and pretty easily buffed), they hit and wound on 3s etc.

The points adjustments come in the ghb which is only a few months away now. The biggest concern is that the fyreslayers may have missed the printing deadline.

Ghb 2019 will be the first points patch for AoS 2. Stormcast came out just after the last ghb. They were never going to change their points until ghb 2019.

You just confirmed what I said. One point fix a year (especially if they keep slapping points on units as lazily as in the past) simply isn‘t enough.

I‘d like to see a batrep though in which s.o. Abuses the hell out of those Hearthguard since I can see no way any army can beat 2 unit’s of 30

(they hold objectives, have a huge footprint so they can actually hold 2 per 30, they cover a big portion of the map, they just don‘t die, they‘ve 60 wounds that are too hard to kill, they have mass, they have absurd damage already if they‘re unbuffed)

  12. 9 hours ago, Chikout said:

Yeah, enjoy your cheap bezerkers while you can. I could see them going up to 150 pretty soon.

GW is Ultra Slow concerning point adjustments. The entire SCE book has been out if balance due to bad point values and GW did not change it.

imo the berserkers are actually gamebreaking... :(

Even the Runeson has his place. The one on foot has a really strong command ability, and the Magmadroth version is made to be used in pairs. Two Runesons in Magmadroth within 6" of each other both get to re-roll hits on all attacks, which is insane.  Can use the command ability strategically as a line breaker, too.

It's just that his weapon options are terrible.

That's, uh, 1800 points of Hearthguard, man.

Did you think they came in units of 10 for 120?

Change that to 2x30 for 1200 points and you still need a third battleline unit.

I think people are getting a little over-excited about Hearthguard. Yeah, they're a little undercosted but just taking away the horde bonus* which GW could easily do at any time hits them hard, and a little hero sniping goes a long way.

*Without the horde bonus you're looking at 1440 for two squads of 30. That alone and people will be running x20 instead.

Sry, I thought the Azyr points were up to date.

2x30 and 10 normal battleline dudes.

    still immortal...

the issue is that they‘re jacks of all trades and they excell in it. They‘ll absolutely tear apart any game. They‘re priced like a horde unit while being the Uber-elite.

Imo no matter how they cost it the unit needs a rewrite to „ONE mortal wound in addition“ or put their attacks down to 1.

    edit: It‘s 100 pts for 5, right?

    30 cost 480 pts?

Fingers crossed when DoK or Malerion's mob get their turn for some terrain we get to see a bloody giant great big massive 'Small Planet Covering Half the Map '

Just before battle Aelven Sorceresses begin to dance and chant blasphemous rites and summon forth the mists of Ulgu. Slowly the diaphanous vapours coalesce into the shape of a colossal, seemingly unmovable and ridiculously out of place, Mount Rushmore, one solitary finger of  Malerion’s Statue raised in defiance at the moaning enemy forces.

    Corrected that for you 🤣

That's not FEC, there's a Soulblight vampire at the fore with a unit of skeletons in the mid and a zombie dragon (presumably the vampire's mount) in the background.

Imo he did not mean that way. What he meant was:

the Image stands for Grand Alliance Death.

GA: Death already received a Battletome which was Flesh Eater Courts.

I dont think there was ever anything about removing their eyes.  They just cover their eyes with helmets.

I think I read that they blind their mounts (physically) otherwise the magic to tame the beasts would dissipate.
