Yeah I got the same feeling. And obviously as a consumer, I prefer the second option. It is great box, and gives you much Value for you money. I love the CruelBoyz, the new look of the SCE, and it is available to anyone who likes to have a copy...so from my perspective I find it hard to see this as a failure, regardless of sales numbers. Must say, that I can't help me from thinking that the rumors are for a part also feed by people who have a general grudge against GW, or are upset about the rule changes, and like GW to fail. This more in general, not specifically refering to this thread, which I think is an interesting read. There isn't much I can add to what is already said. I see many people have far more insight, and understanding of how a business is run than I have. I am just a simple consumer, buying stuff (or not) Guess the question if Dominion sold poor is largely relative to what GW expected to sell, and I have really no clue about GW's expectations. I have no doubts the absolute numbers of sold copies are still massive relative to my own standards though. Of course I also see indications that it didn't sell as expected, like we receive some mails from GW and resellers that we shouldn't forget to buy it, the markers still available at GW, I heard of price drops (haven't seen them), and read the story about a reseller getting into trouble because a lower sales than expected ..., but I don't know if you really can read that much into it. My local store (reseller) sold out the first wave within 15 minutes (and he had a good amount of copies, much more than indomitus at the time), the second wave is still available, but also running out, so he says. If there are indeed low sales, I guess this is for various reasons, not gonna repeat what has already been said. I, for instance, didn't buy me a copy either. I resisted the temptation this time (and proud of it :)). I still have so much unfinshed (including the 2nd edition starter), and this year already bought 2000 pt of DoK, Cursed City, all Underworld Warbands, and a couple of Broken Realms Seraphon batlleboxes. Probably not that much for other peoples standards, but with my speed of painting, that alone will keep me busy for a few years, not to mention the backlog I already had before that. And than there is also the all seeing eye of my wife that I feel with every packet that arrives I temporary skipped SBGL for the same reason, and also Kroak. You have to make choices, and I asked myself the question Cruel Boys, or SBGL and Seraphon. And for now I prefer the latter. So thats what I gonna buy instead (if anything). And then maybe there is also a possible Ogre update on the horizon..which I don't want to miss either. Of course I will need a rulebook (and that is already a 3rd of the price of Dominion), but tbh I never really play the game, so for now I am not in a rush (but will buy it at some point.)

I am a bit in between armies, more or less finished my nighthaunts, and just started with Mawtribes. Both armies have a bit dark theme, at least thats how I paint them. and I I really like to try something with a bit brighter, contrasting colors as well. So for this month my goal is to finish a couple of underworld warbands: - Myari's Prufiers - The Dread Pageant - Hrothghorn's Mantrappers

Created this topic to offload the rumour thread, and continue the discussion about Pro's and Con's of the recently announced Warhammer+ subscription My opinion: Isn't it a bit early to jump into conclussions yet? Based on what we know so far, I have mixed feelings myself. Not interested in the animations and most of the video stuff. At least not to the extend that I want to pay for it. With the exception of the painting masterclass maybe (if any good), but not enough for me to pay $6 a month for. Same for the exclusive mini's. So I guess everything stand or falls with the quality of the app. If it is any good, I am on board. If we take the 40k as an example...well I have no experience myself, but what I get from the reactions here, most people are not happy with it. it might be a big disapointment. Same for the likely removal of the digital publications. For now, I just have my fingers crossed for an improved version of the current AOS app (which I like), no reason to expect the worse right now. We cannot be sure if the current app and i.e. warscroll builder will co-exist, but even if they do, support and updates will probably become even worse. What I would really like is that we would have a monthly subscription for rules and points. I would definately willing to pay for that. It would add so much more flexibility and possibilities for little adjustments for game ballancing, without the need of a reprint with any new model release. And there still would be room for hard copies with art and more background..no doubt there is still a big audiance for that. But I don't think there are any indications that GW is willing to take that path, unfortunately. Edit...I added a little poll on top of this thread

Just wondering, taking indomitus as an example, how big are the chances any of these models will be exclusive for the Dominion box? Is there any indomitus model not sold separately or via one of the (unlimited) starterboxes? Still very much in doubt if I should buy Dominion (or well...try to buy) or not. I definately like the Boyz a lot, but I can do without new plastic at the moment, so much else to finish first, and if thats finished I really like to get the gravelords first . I think the changes on SCE are good improvements, and I like them, but chances are low I will ever built and paint them. So probably best for me to skip this one (despit it is likely to be much value for your money) and start collecting the Boyz later. But if there is anything in teh box that I can't get by that time, things might be different.

Last months didn't made much progress. Still have like 5 Reapers to be finsihed to have my story finally completed, but somehow cannot push myself to it at the moment. After a year dedicated to Nighthaunt, I like to do other stuff for a bit. Lots of distraction with Warcry, underworlds warbands, and my 9 yr old son got interested, so I help him with his first mini's now, which consumes much of the litlle time I have. While Nighthaunt still pending, I started a new army too, which is Mawtribes. Have them on the shelves since they released the Stonehorn and Firebelly etc. As said, a lot of other distractions, but made my first steps now:

Completely relative to ones expectations of course, but prices are not that bad right? Skelletons go from 25 Euro per 10 to 45 per 20, so basically 5 Euro less expensive, Zombies from 32.50 to 42,50. New Bloodknight are a lot cheaper (as expected) by 30 Euro, and fell bats stay teh same at 40 Euro. Zombie price raise is considerable...maybe, if assumptions are correct that prices ar somewhat relative to the % they make up from an armylist, Zombies may cost more points in the new Tome? Lauka is cheaper than I expected

Yes , me too. I mean the banner is supposed to be the hint for the upcomming army right? Looking at it, can it be anything else than Goblins, or at least greenskins? I might be wrong, I lack in depth knowledge about lore and Aesthetics, I learn new things here every day, This supported by rumor engines that could be very well greenskin, various rumors of different sources that also talk about some sort of greenskin, The more cryptic hints from Whitefang included. I see still people talking about Firmir, but apart from the fact that this would fit the 10 little soldier story from the teaser perfectly, is there anything else supporting this?. Can the banner be linked to Firmir in any possible way? Any Rumour engines? Same For Beast of Destruction or Silent people. Maybe for those there are more reasons to believe we get them at some point, but again, given de banner, which supposed to be the hint for the upcomming faction, I don't think it will be what we will see for the starter set. Could be very well that we will see Beast of Destruction and/or Silent people in the next 3 years as part of the Destruction Edition. I am afraid most of it is just wishfull thinking, or a general feeling that we already have enough Goblins, but you cannot ignore the signals I think, or you end up being be heavily disappointed

Not disapointed by the reveal. Not being a stormcast player, and probably never will be, but the new models look really cool. Most exited about what is hinted at for the rising enemy. Whatever it is, any swamp themed army sounds really cool to me, either greenskin, or anthing else like Firmir. from rumors, and whitefang, I think some new greenskin faction is most likely, but living in the Mire...sounds good

thats what I thought, but when I look closer, it seems that where the metal is attached to the pole, its diferent, don't think it is just the angel, the shape is different if you ask me: Also the teeth (or however you call it) are slightly different as well, and a couple of other things as well. It does have a lot of similarities though, which pretty much confirms its Orruk

Ok this is a fun idea, should do that with all reveals: WANT: More Souldblight, New/More Ogres BCR style EXPECT: Eisenhorn show, Tease of AOS 3.0...at least something with Stormcast, because of the 6th banner. We have 6 banners (the warhammer logo aside), One for eachd day. Makes sense the last one left, which is the hammer of sigmar, hints on what is comming today DON't: TV shows, or anything not miniature related (so I expect to be somewhat disapointed today

Guess an Eisenhhorn rveal would definately fit more with a reveal tagged as Mystery. If it turn out to be this, or i.e. ToW or whatever, and not AOS 3.0 reveal, than still I would think there might be at least some little hint or teaser at teh end of everything, like i.e. what they did with Johan flying for Curtsed City. Thats basically what I expect for now.... AOS not the main reveal, but something else,, probably less anticpated, but a final shot at teh end of the reveal or vid that gve us a glimps of AOS 3.0 comming, which makes it a confrimation of what we already know First models revealed not before end of this month, I think
