  1. I think they always intend to add Trogs in, the New Dankholds have the Moonclan mushrooms and their aesthetics on them plus they also got the Nightvault release so it indicates that it was plan in advance, putting spider in the book was probably wasn't plan originally but since people ask for it and Spiderfang was a functional army range at the time despite having three unit, it was probably very easy to tack on to the release but they didn't get anything new unlike the other two. Gitmobs I think were just too old and their models weren't repackageable that they where phased out during the release
  2. even though I have to rebase mine, I am happy that the ball and chain on my Mangler isn't sticking out any more
  3. Mangler squig are on 80 mm bases Dankhold are 60 mm
  4. Fyreslayer are one of the oldest Battletomes though, sure they are not in the same state as KO but they are also very outdated (if not also lacking in option and model variance)
  5. I meant if he was like too slow and being left behind by his army, I was wondering if Skagrott could just use Hand of Mork on himself to reposition since he is a Gloomspite unit that is visible to himself
  6. I mean to begin with the Night goblin infantry models where probably the lowest priority of all the existing units to get a new kit considered that they replaced nearly all the Night goblin resin/metal units plus the Rockguts. Fanatic made sense in a way because the old one came with weird slotted bases and there unit size where smaller. I don't think it fair or realistic to expect more considering how big this release has already been. the only thing that felt weird to me about the release was that they didn't have room to add the Scuttlings from Silver Tower in but that not a big deal.
  7. I wonder if he can just deepstrike himself out of trouble, or at least to a better position and not left behind
  8. I think he Daisy chain the Gobbos a little too much, the strength of spear is getting more unit into combat and attacking in one go
  9. So about Sneaky Snuffler, they have an amazing buff that affects all Moonclan keyword (So they affect squigs) units and they are very cheap units that can count for Spiteful Prodder dices. however their buff only goes off if you roll bellow or equal to the model in the sneaky snuffler meaning you fail the buff on a 6 since you min size is 5 (even though you get six in a box) and it get harder to buff your unit if you start loosing models. their buff is also wholly within 12" and your immobile in the Movement phase so you have to have good positioning and preplanning to make it work So my thoughts are is that if you want to run Sneaky Snufflers it quite possible that you want an extra unit or two in a list just in case stuff happens Also Rockguts have this same wording in their warscroll for their Boulder throw ability so a unit of 6 trolls can auto D3 mortal wounds anything within range, and since it not a range attack but an ability you can fire it outside of combat
  10. the Spiker reroll wounds also works on bows so you can reroll the wound roll of one for Shootas
  11. he can allow a hero to reroll their Range attacks too, of course the only relevant hero for that is the Loonking and Skarsnik with his swingy d6 attack prodder, it still weak but it probably the most relevant use.
  12. Some clarification on the Rockgut Warscroll I read the boulder throw again and it has the same wording as the Evocator lightning ability. So does it mean you roll a dice for the Rockgut unit and if it less then the amount of Rockgut models in the unit, you do D3 MW to the unit you target? So if you have 6 rockguts in a unit you auto D3 MW any unit 12'' away?
  13. He always been 4 wounds , I wish they change his spell a little bit so it doesn’t require a balewind vortex to be effective
  14. seem like a solid list, if you want use up that last 30pts you can swap one of the Loonboss with the Loon boss with Giant cave squig at 100pts,I think he counts for the battalion requirement since he has the Loonboss keyword
  15. while review the Brewgit again I think wording on his warscroll allows a Moonclan hero to reroll hit roll for range attacks as well as melee. so you can use it on the Skargrott or the Loonboss with the Moon-prodder. Obviously the Loonboss on Mangler squig is still the best guy to use it on if you can get within it 18'' range.
  16. Oh dammit, that goes my plan. though I think deep striking unit with Fanatic in them for better charge distance is still pretty bonkers. Edit:15 D6 attack is still pretty nasty. I guess if you can instant gib your target and get the fanatic to survive next round you can buff them with snuffler. As unlikely it seems
  17. Well the spell happen in the hero phase and you declare the snuffler buff during the movement phase where they find the mushroom, And I think Hand of Mork is considered a redeployment spell not movement. So I believe it should work
  18. I think the Snuffler buff is for Moonclan units So ideally you deepstrike the Snuffler 9 inches away from the enemy, release 15 fanatics 3 inches away from the carrier, buff them with the Snufflers buff, and if you can get COGS off they just have to make an 4 inch charge, once you activate them in combat, they get 15 + 15 D6 attacks off ( Edit: if under the moon they get rerolling 1 to hit)
  19. I forgot does the Snuffler have the Grot keyword for its buff, because if not you can use them maybe as the fanatic carrier and buff them when they come out
  20. I was listening the Honest wargamer show Something fun you can do is deep strike your grot unit with the Fanatic inside using the Hand of Mork, and you release the Fanatic in the charge phase 3 inches out of the unit. then the fanatic only need a 6 inch charge to get into combat. you can use COG to make it a 4 inch charge if you want
  21. there is some good shooting abilities like using Spiteful prodder, Loonking, Loonboss with Cave squig, and shooting spell at enemies. and of course I think the Squig Gobbla is still a decent artillery piece. But yeah I don't think Gloomspite Gitz is meant to be play as a strong shooting army, they definitely shine in a melee, magic, and MW department. but they give you good options to do stuff at longer range
  22. it probably also has to do that that Gloomspite been the first destruction release in quite a while that every person who like the grand alliance has been waiting for this release. But yeah ,WH goblins have been a fan favorite army for a long time, plus you can field spiders and trolls in this release too. so this release has a larger appeal range then most other release I would say
  23. I wonder, any reason to every to take one unit of 3 dankhold troggoth? I know it expensive point wise but it sounds fun having three of them attack at once and delete something of the board.
  24. They already updated the scroll with the Gloomspite keyword, so you can take all the squig unit, the Troll hag, and the bonegrinder into a gloomspite army
