  1. Well unless we get the 40K rule that prevent hero sniping from range it just going to keep happening
  2. Yeah it does help that Star Wars and Marvel are two of the biggest IP at least in America. You can coast a lot of building up and marketing when everyone knows your characters and models. though I don’t know if Legion and MCP are manufactured overseas unlike GW who does in house manufacturing. That could also be a factor in product cost too.
  3. I am pretty sure consensus is that foot hero with 6 wounds are often time a liability to shooting and MW spam unless they have a way to protect themselves ( not just measly 6+ ward). In actuality Foot hero are sort of in a bad spot right now compare to monster heroes. Look out sir is not that good and All out defense has better uses on monster then foot hero
  4. Don’t know why Cursed City was only on the video but not mention on the article
  5. Since we sort of already know the AoS stuff comming out right after Adepticon ( the chaos and order battletome in the summer) I doubt it all of a sudden it going to be chaos dwarf, just given the vide and rumors indicating it Skaven and Sylvaneath and that probably what going to be in Adepticon
  6. 3D printing is touchy subject, there a lot more potential problems and regulations that can happen. Ranging from environmental hazards, to just solid waste. It not really talk about because it still aniche it get a whole lot complex when DIY weapon manufacturing becomes a thing when 3D printing parts
  7. I think there a difference between the best list or just the most simple easy but still able to take 3 to 4 games in a tournament list and those are the most common ones you see ( like Gristlegore and IDK eel spam of days past). Top competitor probably use more unit variety but more competitive casual will just play stuff like Sons, win as many games as you can and call it a day.
  8. I think too many people complain and that was the problem
  9. Conditional battleline aside I feel like the recent battletome are more cookie cutters and less choices at least when it comes sub allegiances, traits and artifacts. The stuff you choices are often too no brainer and the obvious choice compare to the other ones that they write down. I don’t think they having giving players meaningful choices in these tomes. like of course I would go Big Yellerz, it literally has 2 more abilities then the other two allegiances give you.
  10. I call it the beastclaw raider syndrome, I guess GW found out a lot of people like small armies with fewer models to push around when BCR got first release that they do it for every army now, so that where we are now.
  11. @madmacI get the frustration but one could also said they bum rush Slaanesh, DoK, LRL, BR, Cursed City, Kragnos and SBGL over releasing Hexfire and shadow throne earlier in order to release AoS 3.0 on time last year too. It wasn’t like there was that great of coverage for Death guard to Grey knights either Edit: wooops I reply to Enoby post instead of madmac lol
  12. It hard to tell, it more possible that 40K is so behind because of AoS 3.0 that they have to make up ground this year for tenth edition to release on time. Nothing has been suggested that they broken away from the 3 year edition cycle
  13. Not sure about that but if you compare to the soul war cycle at this point in time outside of SCE and NH, we had gloomspite gitz already and later in the year we had Slaanesh, OBR, and S2D release while the battletome train was rolling. for 40K 9th edition they where going on into the Sister of battle second wave and Orks later coming out. Pretty sure in normal times content and miniature release usually flip between the two system pretty evenly with 40K being slightly favored. If anything, plans for AoS are push back rather then our load already being out and finish
  14. I put some Hopium on Nighthaunt only because of some rumor engines and that they got a new unit in the boxset and that more stuff be revealed at Adepticon but that really about it. granted NH getting two heroes and a new unit post their first battletome is pretty good already
  15. Just a thought, maybe Warcom feels that AoS rules are just harder to drum up excitement over for compare to 40K. if a Magmadroth doesn’t have a 36 inch range attack that does auto 9 MW and can potentially one shot a Megagargant at max damage like the Tau hammerhead does it not worth writing about lol ( disclaimer I don’t remember what the Tau hammerhead does but it was definitely spicy and dreadful depending on who you talk to)
  16. I pretty sure it still massively popular on the global scale, if the recent Indomitus sale out means anything. The IP itself it also really recognizable that they have side stuff like video games consistently coming out like Darktide, chaosgate, and Space Marine 2. (Even if quality is not always there)
  17. Don’t know if it going to get better soon. Tyranids are coming out right after this and CSM is most likely the next big release on the schedule given the rumors and that probably the next shift in the marketing focus. probably should hope that the summer battletomes are more meaty releases at this point in time or the drought may be real lol
  18. It probably to revitalize them and make up for the neglected like with Sisters of battle. Eldar in recent year have really fell off in popularity compare to other Xeno armies despite being one of the cornerstone armies in 40K. Arguably both Tau and Necrons have risen above them while Orks have also remain strong because of their playerbase granted Sister of battle also had a lot of articles just spread out over a whole year
  19. If world eater are indeed on the horizon for 40K, there is a possibility of Blades getting something like Khorngors just because it probably the best time to release them both if they still have the intention of having god marked Gor units exist in both universe. that and historically when a chaos marine god legion get release the AoS counterpart did get something too.
  20. this Gitz/Kragnos list came in second at the lone star GT pilot by Gavin Grigar (60 squig what a God) Allegiance: Gloomspite Gitz – Option: Gloomspite Gitz – Mortal Realm: Ghur – Grand Strategy: Predator’s Domain – Triumphs: Inspired Leaders Kragnos, The End of Empires (720)* Fungoid Cave-Shaman (95)* – Lore of the Moonclans: Squig Lure Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig (110)* – General – Moonclan Stabba – Command Trait: Master of Magic – Artefact: Arcane Tome (Universal Artefact) – Lore of the Moonclans: The Hand of Gork Battleline 36 x Squig Herd (480)* – Reinforced x 2 12 x Squig Herd (160)* 12 x Squig Herd (160)* Units 6 x Sneaky Snufflers (75)* 6 x Sneaky Snufflers (75)* Endless Spells & Invocations Scuttletide (85) Core Battalions *Battle Regiment Total: 1960 / 2000 Reinforced Units: 2 / 4 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 172 Drops: 1
  21. GW tend a bit inconsistent with keywords sometimes but also don’t like changing things to often either despite how trivial it can be sometimes. like Sigvald also does not have the daemon keyword despite the lore stating otherwise.
  22. If they didn’t put Sigvald in 40K they are not putting Valkia in it either. those two have been historically been fantasy character because they are formal mortals. the new avatar of Khaine is not duo release for AoS either
  23. don't think the size scaling and wing finger length is big enough to be a Jabberscythe, it looks like it for a smaller model
  24. They have given cub7 more leeway when they did female Duardin archtype, the flesh eater court heroes, the necromancer though. I just assume that for the destruction expansion they decided to copy more closely with tabletop
  25. Soulbound artwork for Gitz (part one) And no it doesn’t mean a tome is coming soon so don’t ask
