Battle Report on Warhammer + – Master the Art of Witch Hunting with Callis and Toll - Warhammer Community (warhammer-community.com)

If the new battle report from Warhammer + can be taken as some sort of spoiler (looks like, as it is based on the narrative campaign) we would see Callis and Toll dealing with the results of the "wine" exports into Hammerhall.

They track down the root of the king's blood curse and end up battling against a horde of ghouls, that are led by a ghoul king, in the pumping station from Cinderfall district.

The pumping station has been corrupted, so now the curse is spreading even faster. And all of this is happening in the lower bits of the city, meanwhile the upper city is being besieged by chaotic forces.

Krethusa and her army reinforce the CoS forces during the game, so she could be helping them to stop the curse.

Makes sense that the former servant of a god of blood and murder would want to stop a blood curse from spreading, does the battle report give any more hints about what we can expect from Dawnbringers V? or are we stuck waiting for the reveal this Friday/Saturday?

Personally just happy to see anything from the Gallet book pop back up so will be grabbing up these magazines, the pictures totally made me flashback to the Thondia book which had the same way of sketching & marking the flora and fauna.

I’ll take a White Dwarf safari over nothing at all easily. :D

Hopefully next edition the manufacturer side of things will be more stable so they can pump out the narrative Realms books again.🤞

C’mon travelers tome to lost Elixia and the wilds of Chamon!

Does anyone know what kind of daemon that icon is supposed to represent? It looks slaaneshi to me but I could be wrong.

    In order of releases:

Dawnbringers VI including a mid size release of Darkoaths + Lade of the Ruin (Varanguard leader). Maybe Khorgos Khul ascended.
4th ed box: Stormcast vs Skavens.
    During 4th ed: Chaos Dwarfs.

I'd like to add that it looks like Arkhan might make his return with a new model sometime this edition, since everyone and their mother in GA Death agrees that he's coming back.

  4. For me my army choices always come down to the following: Do I like the lore? If yes do I like the models? and finally, can I make my army unique.

The reason I was drawn to THE SCIONS OF LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!!! was originally because they were undead not-egyptians and as an Egyptian American and a Fan of the first two Brendan Frazier Mummy movies that spoke to me on a near spiritual level. This lead to a bit of disappointment when I saw that I had gotten into the hobby far too late (2015-2016) and no one had them in stock anymore. This lead to me reading about other factions and their characters, which inevitably lead to my corruption into Tzeentch and Slaanesh and their armies. When I discovered kit-bashing was a thing, I was hooked for life. I could bring my craziest ideas to life and fid ways to run them in the game without being looked at funny, and I've stayed with the hobby ever since.

You guys see the new Elden Ring trailer & collector set this morning?

The new big bad looks super easy to make a replica of with the newest Soulblight Gravelord kits. (With the new Mortarch mish-mash RoR’s so you can combine in Awlrach & Ushoran you could get a great “Realms Between” Death army going)

Hey @Baron Klatz, if you don’t build him can I do so instead?

I have two key factors to say it is too much:

1 - It is a smaller preview. Without stream, so lower amount of stuff is expected.
2 - Book 6 would be the ending of the series, so a bigger number of minis are expected. Including an IJ size of Darkoaths and Lady of the Ruin at least. Maybe Khul ascended. So we could have some, but not all of them. The rest would presumably come at adepticon and/or with warcom articles.

I won't lie, if Khorgos Khul doesn't become a daemon prince at the end of DB, I will kinda be dissapointed. He was literally the poster villain of the first edition, he deserves an actual model and an upgrade instead of languishing as a named version of the generic lord.

Okay predictions time for the next preview

    AoS: Dawnbringers 6 and Models

40K: Ork new characters and Custodes new character.

    BB: Rugby 🪿

Necromunda: Delaque vehicles (Please we're starving)

    OW: Dorf reveal

Legions Imperialis: I dunno, some more small tanks I guess.

    No Warcry or regular HH

    My predicitions:

AOS: No dawnbringers since Adepticon is still a thing, but maybe we'll get the rumored Nighthaunt poisoner/apothecary hero instead. glimpses of The Lady of Ruin.... and teases of either Skaven or Chorfs.

40K: new Oak characters & Talons (custodes+sisters) character teased for codex. Road Map 2024

BB: Warhammer Canadians, followed by updated Tomb Kings and Chorfs.

Necromunda: new Chaos Cult gang based off of Daemon Engine Worship, Book IV of Aranthian Succession teased.

OW: Dwarfs + Empire reveals, teaser of Kislev and Cathay via CA tie-in.

    HH: new characters

Warcry: last two war bands of the season revealed.

Looks like it is either something from TOW, like a top of a helmet/ banner for the Empire, or something for AoS, right? Also, doesn't it feel like the goose has a red hat? xD

Oh good god that's not a hat, it's a helmet.... a BLOOD BOWL HELMET!!!!

The thing is, if you want that 'former chaos guy as undead' aesthetic back it pretty much /has/ to be a new guy.  Because while Nagash could bring back Krell, by what logic would he bring back Krell's specific busted up suit of armor?  Krell was a mortarch in the end.  If he comes back, he'd get a fancy new set of deathlord armor in the style of the end times plastics or the Ossiarchs.  Heck, he'd probably /be/ an Ossiarch.

I know... but the idea of mixing the general Death and Chaos aesthetic is just absolutely perfect imo. You get the cosmic horror no man can truly perceive mixed with the perversion of the natural cycle, what's not to love? I know the odds are against me on this one... which is why I'm waiting for The Lady of Ruin to be revealed so I can use her as the base for a custom "death to chaos" character.

  10. The Lady of Ruin being sent out into the Mortal Realms could also tie into the section in Dawnbringers IV where katakros orders all of his legions to fortify their positions. To the ossiarchs outside of the Siege of Eightpoints, it's a strange order since they're actually managing to regain some of the ground they lost after Teclis decided to invade.... but they're built to obey so they do so anyway. Also, I'll take this moment to point out when Mannfred invaded one of Arkhan's "stash-house" of illegal/forbidden magical items, he found a lot of undead rat corpses and not much else, so it looks like shaven are inbound....

Why?  He's not even a person.  He has no personality, no motivations.  The most interesting parts of Krell were always tied up in his relationship with Kemmler, the open question of whether it was the ranting necromancer or the silent skeletal brute behind him that was really pulling the strings.  What does Krell, especially devoid of Kemmler, bring to the table that a wight king or ossiarch liege grounded in AoS's specific lore and setting couldn't?

EDIT:  No, that's not fair.  Krell does have some appeal in the 'silent hulking brute but you can't be sure what if anything is actually going on inside'.  Like, is he just an automaton or is he an actual thinking guy.  That's not nothing, it is a pretty solid archetype for a skeletal dude, and none of the AoS undead characters have that in that they all have motivations (albeit sometimes muddled ones) that they'll happily tell you about at length.  They're all chatterboxes, none of them are just silent and menacing.

So fair enough, I withdraw my complaint, I can see /why/ someone would want Krell back.  I just personally would rather see a new take on that archetype and leave Krell himself back in the Old World.  Though even then I have to admit that the decision to lock the Old World game down to a time period when Krell's still entombed and Kemmler probably isn't even born yet means we won't even get to see him there.

So I guess I wouldn't object to bringing Krell back in AoS, at least not as much as I'd object to Vlad or Abhorash (seriously DO NOT bring back Vlad or Abhorash).

In addition to the fact that Krell would greatly fill in the "menancing, silent type" role the undead typically have in other mediums (that I agree AOS is somewhat lacking), there's also the fact that as a former chaos-champion turned slave/worshipper of undeath Krell has some of the coolest armor an on-foot hero can have in any version of fantasy (seriously GW, bring this man back):gw-99800207009_6.jpg.85e83880bd9751e177aeaf9e99416e02.jpg

  12. Having picked up both the new White Dwarf, Dawnbringerss IV, and reviewing "older" releases, I have come to the following conclusion of potential releases.

New Wave/Grand "Refresh" factions: Skaven, Fyreslayers, Idoneth (based on the old "Underworlds waband=new wave concept of rumors), and Lumineth (unfortunately).

    New Factions entirely: Chaos Dwarfs.

New model for old character/potential new character: Khorgos Khul(all new stories and lore point to him finally becoming a daemon prince), "Lady of Ruin" chaos character mentioned in book IV.

EDIT: I have a @Whitefang reaction, my day has been made.

We do kind of know that it's a bit of a post-hoc justification though, thanks to CA posting the concept art (where they all had beaks). The truth is probably "GW told us to lose the beaks", but they're being diplomatic about it.

The real reason is likely GW not wanting for TWW to step on the toes of AoS: Realms of Ruin.

    TzaangorConceptArt.jpg.c213d2ed988dd3baee75b34775cea052.jpg

Where does one find the concept art for the new DLC? seriously when all four updates are done CA better release an updated art book.... Also I kind want these tzaangors to show up as a heavy-elite version of the unit in AOS, they're gorgeous.

I’m aiming to use my Chorfs in both TOW and Azgorh for casual games in AOS. So I’ll need a Shartor to make the Bull Centaurs battleline.

Seems like he’s supposed to be pretty huge and more purely mutated/gifted organically from Hashut.

Anyone know if a Myrmidon body is bigger than a Theridon? Also was looking at the Fomoroid Crusher and maybe putting either top on perhaps on either a Mournfang body (and sculpting it smoother and with hooves) or on that Stormcast Astreia Solbright mount (and again sculpting hooves)

    19 minutes ago, Pizzaprez said:

I've got both the character Ogroids and ngl neither of them are notably bigger; I think the Fomoroid is what you're looking for!

I can confirm that what @Pizzaprez said regarding the ogroid models is true. Personally, if you want to kit bash a Shartor model I think you should use the Centauroid as a base (dude looks more like a bull then a horse) and out the Ogroid body to fill in the holes. For the axe I think the best option is one of the weapons from the Varanguard kit.

  15. I'm a borderline ogor fan (particularly the Beastclaw Raiders), so I'll throw my two bits in:

Refresh the basic ogres, Ironguts, and leadbelcher kits.

Maneaters with range/great weapon options and bits from all the realms.

    multipart butcher/slaughtermaster kit.

    expansion of Beastclaw Raiders

Plastic Firebelly and expansion of his sub-faction (guy has the coolest look out of the entire list, but he's all alone).

Agreed @MitGas, let’s also not forget that nearly every named lizardmen mount in TOW is also pushing the limits of being caught as well.
